This is a list of all the different characters' unique abilities compiled in one place to make it easier to see what's already been done.

Original characters with unique abilities
Ace the Cat
Unique ability: "Charging" small objects, like cards, with Chaos Energy (to explosive effect when thrown)
"His 'chaos cards' are an extremely effective makeshift weapon, doubly so when coupled with his unrivaled senses of accuracy and proprioception. In moments of extreme focus, Ace can literally send out a wave of attacks against a single or multiple targets."
Jam the Monkey
Unique ability: Lightning shield / electricity manipulation
"Electrical manipulation--Via her Lightning Ring, Jam is seemingly able to bend a force of nature to her whim, producing (beyond a protective barrier) agility-altering bursts, projectiles, EMPs, and some really mean static shocks, among other things."
Rock the Monkey
Unique ability: Combined superior perceptiveness & reaction time
"Intuition/perception—His situational awareness, attention to minute detail, and reaction time are virtually unrivaled, making him highly adaptive, especially under pressure."
Teck the Porcupine
Unique ability: Firing quills as projectiles
"Bunched between his large spines that make the shape of his head and remain unseen are very specialized quills that are anchored into his cranial skin by pressurized follicles that contract in sync with muscle tension, enabling his spines to fire as projectiles."

Sonic the Hedgehog
Unique ability: Highest top speed and agility
"Unparalleled speed—Sonic is the fastest and most agile runner there is, no questions asked."
Dr. Eggman
Unique ability: Skill with robotics
"Dr. Eggman's skill with technology is unparalleled. Some may come close to it (such as a certain little fox boy), but none can equal his sheer wealth of knowledge."
Amy Rose
Unique ability: Literal "hammerspace" weapon
"Mysteriously capable of producing several of her trademark Piko-Piko Hammers seemingly out of thin air--Even scarier, the hammers seem to have tremendous mass, and can quite literally demolish a concrete wall in a single blow."
Miles "Tails" Prower
Unique ability: Two tails, and two-tailed flight
"His two tails have the unique ability to act as a helicopter rotor, spinning his tails as big, furry propellers to carry him high into the sky, or speed him along the ground at crazy speeds."
Knuckles the Echidna
Unique ability: Unhindered mobility (combination of fast running, tunneling, climbing, swimming, flying, and being able to break through obstacles)
"Ultimate mobility—There is no such thing as an obstacle for Knuckles. He can dig tunnels, climb sheer walls, swim well, glide through the air with his quills fanned out, and break through almost anything that stands in his way."
Espio the Chameleon
Unique ability: Near-invisibility via chameleon camouflage (though this may not be truly "unique" since there's always the possibility of other chameleons, stealth suits, etc.)
Big the Cat
Unique ability: Immense, sumo-like strength (He's not the best at applying it as an attacker, but he's probably the strongest there is, nonetheless)
Shadow the Hedgehog
Unique ability: True mastery of Chaos powers
"Has an innate mastery over the inherently high levels of Chaos Energy contained in his body, and can easily utilize it for energy-based attacks and Chaos Control."
Cream & Cheese
Unique ability: Cream can fly short distances with her ears, and Cheese is the most deadly Chao on Earth.
Blaze the Cat
Unique ability: Pyrokinesis (or at least some sort of latent ability to produce fire)
Silver the Hedgehog
Unique ability: Telekinesis, utilizing some sort of futuristic technology housed in his gloves
Shade the Echidna
Unique ability: Access to alien-like technology (Cloaking device, energy blades, etc.)

Metal Sonic
Unique ability: Actually able to rival Sonic's speed when in flight; not quite as good at braking or maneuvering, though.
Fang the Sniper
Unique ability: Ultimate marksmanship (when he's not bouncing around on some ridiculous transformation of the Marvelous Queen, anyway)
Bean the Dynamite
Unique ability: Physics-defying, seemingly-unlimited cache of bombs
