About approving my character

Okay, so, I kind of wrote the rules and this makes reviewing my character awkward for anyone. So, I will say this in self-examination:

If I was reviewing my own character, I would use my typical approach of not caring a whole lot about personality unless it had apparent contradictions. Then I would move on to abilities. I designed him to be technically proficient with mechanics and electronics and stuff so as to be a sort of utility character, but I did not explain why because I want his past to be mysterious for now. If that was given a free pass (on good faith that I hypothetically somewhat know what I'm doing), the other thing I would contemplate is why he is fatcrobatic, as he does not have an apparent origin story to explain it. He is not a circus pig. He most likely was not a gold-medal gymnast before losing his arm and replacing it with a big machine gun. That said, to be entirely honest, my motivation for giving him this skill can be boiled down to: "to show that not all characters over 30 years old are automatically doomed to seem decrepit" — which basically means it is an arbitrary Sonic character attribute that I gave him merely because I found it funny/shocking. Perhaps he pushed himself to became agile because he's a big fat hog and he feels he has something to prove.

So, I guess, in a way, I just reviewed my own character and pointed out the potential flaws I see in it. Is that weird? Hopefully this self-awareness of my own character flaws will be enough to make a Kazz or Mie feel comfortable and not-weird putting the approved stamp on it — or, alternatively, saying "no, you should probably change that."

To be fair, I gave a pass on the fatcrobatics because I assumed there was something in his past to justify it (even actually going to potential former circus pig route, just as a fleeting thought), and I have good faith that you of all people won't pull anything story-breaking out'cher butt. If anyone has this story and this group's best interests at heart, it's you, so I say yay, and really, who cares about the why? It's not game-breaking, and it's funny as heck.
