Review

Data section: Aaall good. A very interesting character.

Abilities: No problems. Also: "all the while politely asking them to stop"--I laughed. Good stuff.

Star ratings: Agility rating is the only one that seems shaky. I know you had PMed us about adding some things to his abilities in this area, but when we add it up again by what's actually mentioned in the profile description, the result is 0 stars.

  • "jump several times his own height" +0.5 star for high jumper
  • "perform simple dodging movements with help of momentum control" could either be the halfstar for somewhat acrobatic, or the halfstar for normal quickness (as the description "simple dodging movements" is very mild, and he is of course very heavy)
  • -0.5 star for extreme weight
  • -0.5 star for inability to swim
  • May or may not have other subtractions

That said, this is pretty great. There's only one other thing to address, and it's just a technical rule from the star ratings article: "All new members are allowed to use up to approximately 10 stars total."

Apex, as I'm sure you know, has 14.5. However, he is a robot. So, after talking with the other character-approval peeps, here's the deal: If his agility gets corrected downward, and his stats are going to stay relatively static (i.e. he doesn't get significant permanent stat boosts in the foreseeable future, and stays around that 13.5 star mark), all is well.

If you are cool with this condition, then give the word, and we're done here.

Thank you for the feedback and confirmation on some points. I was uncertain if the 10.0 star limit worked when it came to toughness and agility as they were based off character aspects rather than choices. I guessed that they didn't and was obviously mistaken, sorry about that.
While your offer is appreciated, I think i'll downgrade him to having 10 stars. It wouldn't be fair to enter the roleplay site with a better character than everyone else started out with. Plus the option for stats boosts, and having him grow in strength as time goes by, might open up some interesting options story wise.
I'll correct his agility obviously, that definitely needs to change, and downgrade his stats until they are at 10 stars. Perhaps putting down his shortcomings to lack of maintenance, haphazard self repair or actual damage suffered when a burning building fell atop him.
Would there be any problems with this?

You can do what you like with that, but don't worry about it being unfair. The limit for brand new folks used to be 12, but our lenience on budging upward with it led to characters who... often didn't have room to improve much. So we made it 10 with the expectation of still letting it slide upward some. Robots, which usually rack up ratings because of the way our system is structured, hadn't really been considered yet, as no one had applied with one as their first character... Might have to reevaluate that limit again so as to be fair to robo-submitting folks like you, to be honest.
Anyway, do as you wish, but don't feel obligated to completely nerf him.

Thanks for the offer but i'd still feel guilty with the power he has at the moment so i'll probably downgrade him.
