General Info
Scout likes to be doing something at all times, despite an underlying laziness that keeps her from doing great things at all times. Very excitable and eager, she tends to get gung-ho over something or other only to rush off to the next thing to catch her fancy at the drop of a hat. However, she does have a strong common sense, so she knows when she needs to buckle down and be serious despite her tendency towards frivolity. On top of that, Scout has found dabbling in mechanics to be a constant; she won’t sit down and focus on it 24/7, but it’s her standard default interest when there’s nothing new to get absorbed in, and she’s gotten to the point where she’s handy enough to do some simple repairs on cars, extreme gears and airplanes (at least, she THINKS she can handle airplanes at this point. It’s what she told Pilot, anyway.).
She isn’t what you’d call a highly educated individual, but she’s got a good head on her shoulders, and it's the reason she's often mistaken for being older than she actually is. At her heart she’s an eager-to-please sort of person, yet she always speaks her mind no matter what- she’ll want to make you smile but she won’t lie to you to make it that way. Possibly because of that sarcasm can escape her sometimes. A little brash and loud, ‘tomboy’ wouldn’t be an inaccurate descriptor, although more due to her attitude and less due to an allergy to girliness (she actually quite likes the color pink and baking sweets, although you can’t tell anyone that latter one).
Years of babysitting a group of rather active children (comprised of Astrid, Rodolf and Mako’s younger siblings) has given her a sense of responsibility towards those younger than her… as well as a hearty appreciation for their conniving ways and simultaneously an immunity and a nagging dread towards glitter. It’s possible that their endless play-adventuring inspired her to pursue her own dream of actually adventuring, although if they ever asked she'd tell them that she left to get as far away from them as possible (in the most loving manner, of course).
Ability Info
Her huge tail enables her to more than double her height by balancing on it. Carrying it around also requires her to be deceptively strong for her size, although that’s mainly in what she can haul around with her whole body (so she doesn’t necessarily have impressive upper body strength, but you could probably load her up like a pack mule and she wouldn’t bat an eye at it), and its bulk serves well for tail-based bashing attacks such as sideswipes.
Miscellanea
Trivia
- Closest friends: Pilot
- Worst enemies: The quartet of kids she babysat sometimes believe they fit this bill
- Favorite color: Magenta
- Favorite food: All things sweet, particularly red velvet cupcakes and strawberry flavored anything. She also has a great fondness for dill pickles.
- Likes: Being active, children (despite what you may believe based on listening to her), mechanics, one-shot comic books
- Dislikes: Glitter, stripped screws, water in general (she's afraid her tail would sink her), being idle
- Birthday: June 17th
- Birthplace: Emerald Town
- Other Trivia:
- Also goes by Millie; even she isn't quite sure why 'Scout' caught on over the more logical nickname
- Every now and then she finds glitter in her clothes from her babysitting days; every time this happens she is sent into a minor rage
- This is also the reason she always keeps a roll of clear tape on her person, as it's the best technique to remove glitter she's encountered yet
- Her specialty is any kind of pie, particularly apple and rhubarb. She also makes a mean sugar cookie, but she'll only ever make those around the holidays
