Ability Ratings
Agility

4star.png
About 90 MPH tops under normal conditions. Can gain a few more miles-per-hour under ideal conditions, but he's never been seen to hit triple-digits. Good jumping ability (including off of walls to gain height), fairly decent climber, and moderately acrobatic. His biggest problem is stopping or turning while running, or getting to top speed quickly.

Strength

5.5star.png
Sufficiently strong. Capable of some pretty darn hard punches and kicks, but seriously lacks the technique to back them up.

Toughness

5.5star.png
Quite resilient-- a healthy build, and while his head may be the hardest of the hard, the rest of his skeleton is considerably tough (probably from any time he's failed to break something, or break it right... No pain, no gain!).

Energy

3.5star.png
He's got one heck of a fighting spirit, to be sure of it, but he's not exactly going to be jumping into some good old non-stop sprints or battles.

General Info

Rodolf is not the most sociable little unicorn on the block. Gruff, direct, and a little bit prickly, he has a single goal that rules over almost everything he does. Namely, he's going to get out there and play hero. Armed with an unshakable sense of right and wrong and the willingness to do just about whatever he needs to do to uphold that, even if he has to do a few less than ethical or unsavory things in the process. As far as he's concerned, the ends more than justify the means, even if the means involve very nearly impaling anyone who happens to be in his way when he starts to charge. Good is not nice, as it were.

At first glance, he can seem impulsive, even a bit headstrong, and he takes very little time to make decisions (and do some very odd things-- giving a piggy-back ride to a koala under a blistering fire-storm without hesitation comes to mind. Why should he, he figures, when the end goal is obvious? There's power in his instinct and intuition; he's very rarely seen to lose his cool, even if he may get a bit... less pleasant to be around when the chips are down.

That said, when he causes a problem, he'll hop immediately to fixing it as best he can. Being the hero he fancies himself, he's got that much down-- going out of his way to help people who need it, never crossing the limits he's set for himself (what these are are somewhat vague, as while he's far from bloodthirsty, he seems to be completely okay with causing quite a bit of damage in the process if need be), and being devoted almost entirely to the ideals of what he feels is right. In this regard, it's sometimes a bit hard to get along with him even in less tense circumstances, as he's prone to acting without exactly filling anyone else in on the plan. He'll work with anyone or use any means to reach a given end, even including (gasp!) following a plan, but the second a plan falls apart or wavers, good luck trying to get him to stop to reformulate said plan.

No matter how hard he tries to hide it, though, he's not entirely made of stone. He may even have a sense of humor hidden somewhere (somewhere under all that hair, maybe).

Ability Info

Rodolf is, simply said, decently athletic; however, taking into account the extremes capable of many of the inhabitants of the world in which he lives, he's hardly anything to write home about. Strong but not the strongest, quick but not the fastest. Moreover that, it takes him quite a lot of time to reach his top speed, and to stop once he's got to going, nor can he make turns particularly well while in motion unless given room to 'drift'. His ability is more suited to exploring terrain, not combat or zipping around like a pinball. He can fight, and fight passably well, but he's not exactly a man of great technique.

Perhaps this is exemplified by the fact that his primary offensive maneuver is to lower his head and charge, horn-first, into anything unfortunate enough to be in his way. Given space to build up momentum, Rodolf's head has been known to break through brick walls and even small boulders. Thankfully, said head also seems to be unbelievably durable-- far harder, at any rate, than the average skull. (The rest of his body seems considerably tough as well, though far less than his head.) Even when that fails, he's been known to 'route' chaos energy into his horn (usually via a ring, but it seems he may be able to do it on his own, though to a lesser extent) to add an extra layer of power to his headbutts. (Mind, it's quite possible for him to be dazed -- especially if he runs smack into something he can't break -- but he's completely avoided major head injury, which should speak a lot to the resilience.)

Trivia

  • Closest friends: N/A
  • Worst enemies: N/A
  • Favorite color: Green, not that you'd know it
  • Likes: High altitudes, fruit, getting the job done, whatever needs to be done to achieve the aforementioned job getting done
  • Dislikes: Wasting time, people with low moral standards, having ribbons tied into his hair and tail by overzealous little girls, the fact that he can't say no to little girls who want to tie ribbons into his hair and tail
  • Birthday: June 26th
  • Birthplace: Ice Cap, Angel Island
  • Home: Spring City, but like any good hero he'll take off to who-knows-where at any time the urge strikes him.
  • Character theme: Pillar - 'Frontline'
  • Other Trivia:
    • Since being a vigilante hero doesn't pay so well, he also has a normal job-- namely, repairing EX Gear. He's also fairly talented at racing on said gear (preferring a board), but generally prefers not to-- the wind blows his hair into his face too much.
    • For some reason, he only has three visible fingers and a thumb, it doesn't seem to be from injury, and it strikes many people as incredibly odd-looking. Maybe it's an equine thing.
    • When confronting people, he really likes to pose in high places, where the wind is blowing in his mane dramatically. He may not be as dramatic as certain other vigilante heroes, but a good dramatic pose never hurt anyone.
