General Info
Midian is a former park warden from far-away Mazuri. An outdoorsman and general nature lover, he has long dedicated himself to the preservation of the land and protection of those who live and work on it, employed as a public servant to defend the wild from the people, and the people from the wild. It was only when a significant change in governing authority took place that he found himself out of a job. He has since wandered in search of some way to make a difference—to find others with a common goal, to set things right.
Dedicated and passionate about the things he values, Midian seems like a very honest, generally good-natured and jolly type of guy, though he isn't really as outgoing as he acts. There is a certain disconnect between where he is physically, and where he is mentally; he occasionally daydreams and forgets what he's doing. He nonetheless tries to put on a friendly face around others, but is undeniably an introvert by nature and not always talkative, perhaps too accustomed to living and working in relative isolation. Because of this, he shows little in the way of leadership qualities, and is instead a dedicated helper. Midian measures his self-worth not by his accomplishments, but his ability to meaningfully aid others. It's only when others are uncertain that he steps forward and becomes decisive; it's only when others are uneasy or scared that he digs up the will to be courageous on their behalf.

Excruciatingly thin, a kind of wiry, yet sinewy fellow, Midian generally has a small appetite, and it shows. He has the appearance of one worn and tired, and while his age is unknown, he certainly isn't young. Nonetheless, he's a very good runner who navigates obstacles with efficiency and graceful balance. He is very resourceful, and though he generally has empty pockets, he has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. It's clear that he isn't in very good health, though. Some days, his hands shake, he moves stiffly, and he barely seems to have any strength or energy at all.
As far as his skills go, he plays his cards very close to the chest and isn't boastful or a showoff, so it's hard to know the full extent of his resume. However, he does have some odd skills that don't quite mesh up with his occupation (such as being a superb driver), and he seems to know his way around the islands of the south seas well enough to suggest that he's very well traveled.
