General Info
Tau is an artificial intelligence that has been resourceful enough to keep itself in operational condition over the decades since its creation and has been clever enough retain his consciousness as well as memories intact, albeit it at the cost of his personality over the years. An individual of relatively few words, any who interact with Tau will quickly learn the AI is neither interested in interacting with those who have yet to earn his trust nor those whom he deems incompetent, and that earning the former is far more difficult than overcoming the latter.
Appearance
Appearance pending new image and/or rewrite.
Primary Mobile Platform
Built from scratch and tailored to his personal preferences and performance requirements, Tau's new primary mobile platform is a significant upgrade over his previous modified "Egg Gunner" series platform. Tau's primary body has received significant upgrades to its internal designs, such as transformable parts and components designed to allow it to be reconfigured into alternate functional states. As part of the new design, several rarely-utilized weaponry and equipment have been abandoned in favor of the integration of reverse-engineered Nocturnus technology, reducing its overall weight.
Primary mode
Though less agile in this form, Tau benefits from both increased energy weapon efficiency and significantly-increased self-repair capabilities at the cost of long-range sensory reconnaissance subsystems and thruster fuel generation. While Tau loses his flight capabilities in his humanoid form, he is still capable of brief thruster-assisted jumps. (The frequency and duration of these jumps are limited by his aforementioned lowered fuel regeneration, however.)
Aerospace alternate
Initially conceived prior to his recent trip into space, Tau's alternate aerospace form is one of the primary reasons behind his newly designed body. This alternate mode reconfigures many aspects of his body and includes the activation of otherwise inactive subsystems (such as his internal shield generator) and increases the efficiency of both his fuel generation and sensory subsystems at the cost of diverting all available resources from his combat systems.
Miscellanea
Aerospace reconnaissance drone
Built and adopted for use in his current space assignment, the drone features a seemingly sentient artificial intelligence. Unarmed to allow for the necessary room for additional sensory equipment while keeping the drone itself compact, its major assets are its speed, agility, and, as a last resort, its own independent low-power energy shield. Though designed to be autonomous, the drone is light and small enough to be stored on Tau's back without interfering with his normal mobility. Tau has recently modified the drone with small, retractable limbs for assisting in laboratory duties.
Cargo pod
Occasionally carried during certain missions. While useful for storing heavy weapons and other miscellanea, it's not typically equipped due to weight and related mobility issues.

Trivia
- Designer / builder: Himself (body-wise)
- Allies: Rock, Jam
- Enemies: Usually those who end up on the bad side of those listed above. That said, he holds no personal hostilities towards anyone.
- Likes: Rather fond of several music genres, most notably classical and electronic. Enjoys working in his new-found lab.
- Dislikes: Most Capsule Troopers, nonsense, being disturbed while working, combat.
- Home: Currently considers the XSV Typhaon to be home—more so its labs.
- Character themes:
- Boss theme: Daft punk - Castor

- Modified Egg Gunner mobile platform
- Other trivia:
- Tau is not his actual name, simply his most recent designation.
- Prefers to communicate only as much as is required and is not one to divulge too much about anything he knows, especially about himself. As far as he is concerned, the more information he possesses and the less others are aware of, the better.
- Has a strong preference for creating his daemons and AI assistants, and often tinkers with their development in his free time.
- Tau's current body marks his second known full-body replacement, and it's more than likely this is not the first time he has done such.
- Unlike his previous body many components of this new one are multifunctional and transformable.
- Though willing to do what is necessary in hostile situations, Tau is not fond of combat, preferring the utilization of lethal force only when absolutely necessary. That said, he is not one to hesitate to do what needs to be done.
- Despite equipping his new mobile platform with weaponry, Tau prefers to spend much of his time aboard the space destroyer, Typhaon, mostly in the laboratories, rather than in the field.
- Tau has never disclosed his original activation date nor his original creators identities, but piecing together those few scattered classified records that exist indicates his core AI is at least sixty years old.
- His core AI has served in both R&D and military intelligence fields in the past, neither of which he likes to talk about.
