Chimera

One of several Chimera insignias currently in use. It is often stenciled over preexisting emblems on equipment and facilities Chimera has captured.

Chimera is a recently-formed paramilitary organization utilizing commandeered assets from the former Eggman Empire. Though the Eggman Empire continues to exist, it is estimated that as much as 80% of its former facilities, ships, resources, and combat units are now under Chimera control.

The organization's leadership and command structure remains unknown, though an increasing number of Capsule Troopers bearing Chimera insignias have been sighted acting as field commanders over other robotic units. Tensions remain high with G.U.N., but Chimera's non-combat resources continue to be employed to rebuild infrastructure around the globe.

All former Eggman Empire robots that contain living, imprisoned energy sources (such as flickies or other small animals) continue to be retrofitted with alternative energy sources. Those that have had their cores freed have been marked with a small ring decal to designate their animal-free status.

Headquarters

Chimera appears to operate from its capital ship, the XSV Typhaon (formerly known as the Egg Destroyer). The exact specifications of the vessel are unknown, though it is thought to be several kilometers long. Due to its sheer mass, it is presumed to be incapable of operating in Earth's atmosphere.

Mandates

While Chimera has not seized direct control of any national government, it has set forth edicts to impose its will upon them. So far, these include

1. Banning of the manufacture of weapons and military hardware without approval

2. Restriction of G.U.N. activity anywhere outside of the United Federation

3. Requirement that all space travel plans and other outer space activities be registered with the Chimera Space Administration
