Run? That was not the same thing as surrendering. As the feline took off, the cannon arm on the Egg Hulk once again leveled in her direction. Despite her addition to the robot's paint job, his aim was still dangerously good as a high-caliber shell ripped from the barrel of the cannon with enough force to rip anything in it's path to shrapnel. Needless to say, it was not something you wanted to get hit with. Her zig-zagging did make it hard to pin-point a good shot, though. He had to make his best guess.
Moments after firing, that shoulder cannon started to visibly be gathering energy, a bright green glow illuminating the barrel from inside.

The Egg Pawns seemed to regard the disparity between surrender and flight with staggering indifference; either way, they surged forward on command in a numerous, but bumbling mass, charging forward, and scattering outward at their quarry with no shortage of zeal, but a gaping dearth of subtlety and finesse.
Several broke off from formation, and tried in vain to catch up to the fleeing, acrobatic cat, some of them feebly trying to hop up onto the canisters, themselves. Yet another group went after Pilot, hurtling toward the cluster of pipes he was utilizing for cover, while a few more trundled gracelessly for Mike's corner. For the moment, they at least hadn't seemed to have noticed that the sizable lump of shaking tail was actually an apprehendable.

"This is not the reality I wanted!" Pilot yelped as an Egg Pawn hurtled itself into the pipes only a fraction of a sentence after he hurdled himself away. Pilot was, contrary to Tabby's instructions, not running-- he was flying. Slipping his goggles down over his glasses, he set himself to an (honestly rather impressive) set of aerial acrobatics to make himself a more difficult target. As he did, tried to keep an eye on where Scout (or, Scout's tail) was huddled (he couldn't just be out of an assistant/business partner, after all), and an eye on the newcomer.
He figured Tabby was probably less likely to be in need of an air lift.
"So what, are we just gonna run around and hope they off themselves?" he asked, swooping closer to Tabby -- and keeping his distance. The big robot's arsenal was not one he wanted to play test-dummy for.

Said sizable lump of shaking tail, while admittedly jittery and not having the best time of her life, was not merely huddled into a ball and hoping for the best. Scout had been paying close attention to were the 'bots were going, and she had most definitely noticed that she had gone as of yet undetected. Scanning the distinct groups, she gnawed at her cheek trying to come to a decision.
With a deep intake of breath, she unwound her tail and brought herself to a crouch, then launched herself at the best run she could manage towards Mike's corner, all while shouting, "PI, I'M ABOUT TO DO SOMETHING STUPID, SAVE ME IF THIS DOESN'T WORK, OKAY?!"
Almost immediately, Pilot yelled back, "OKAY!" from somewhere out of sight.
She had no idea if she'd make it across the room without tumbling or tripping herself up, and she had even LESS of an idea if she'd even be helpful once she got over there, and she was more than certain that her charging right at a cluster of 'bots was the exact opposite of what Tabby had just told them all to do.
All she did know, however, was that running erratically was not a good plan for her. Zigzagging was sure to trip her up, but at least barging around like a big damn hero gave her a goal to focus on. The plan was to get within tailstrike range and then just start spinning and hope for the best, and really, that was a pretty good plan for the lemur considering the situation.

The sudden tromping of inelegant feet snapped Mike's attention from studying the lighting to the present. His plan was still in formative stages at best, but if there was nothing else liable to keep the fisher alive, it was the ability think on his feet.
He ducked around the boxes and launched himself to full speed as soon as he was on his feet- hoping to weave through the robots at the edge of the group, where the cluster was thinner and he would have a chance to skirt around grasping range. If successful, his trajectory would put him out of the way of Scout's charge, and into the relatively clear center of the room, dangerously close to the looming figure of the Egg Hulk... not the most thought-out sprint, as he would promptly realize. But at the moment, his thoughts were planted firmly in the 'avoid impending danger' stage. Further out threats were limited to a basic set of foreboding feelings.

Eggman Land was a ripe spacious haven for discarded machinery, with its breath-taking, noxious fumes. The clamor beyond had activated a E-100 series programmed to defend an important facility. It stirred at first before two green beams of light shone from its dome. The release mechanism activated, allowing e-108 to run a diagnostic on its performance. No issues were found, confirming the alarm. It trod lightly to the gate and hit the gate switch with a left appendage resembling a hand opening the gateway. It strolled out into the open and patrolled the area for any signs of danger. Through the jumble mass of buildings it was unable to spot the danger, aside from the blur of motion. Its transmitter was unable to identify from the radio chatter who was friend of foe as well. Protocol demanded the situation result in the safety of any living thing, even if criminal. These circumstances would lead it to destroy only robotic intruders of the facility and to detain all living things that happen to intrude other than Eggman himself.

Just a quick something to help out and offer clarity for the novice poster here because Mie doesn't have time. -MattUnless the E-100's IFF was broken, it wouldn't have any trouble determining what was a fellow empire robot and what wasn't—and thus far, there wasn't a single robot present that didn't belong to Eggman. Furthermore, there weren't any particular blurs of motion to see outside, because everything was happening indoors at the so-called CARE ("Captive Animal Renewable Energy") Processing Facility. Nonetheless, there was an alert being broadcast to any nearby units to rush to the facility and provide backup, for better or worse.

The E-100 series assessed the blurs, to determine they were mere industrial robots. The industrial robots hovered away leaving it perplexed. After its diagnosis it received the broadcast that it had been ignoring. It was dispatched to provide support for the Empire at the CARE facility.

With the shoulder cannon fully charged, it was soon time to let loose it's fury. The robot shifted it's legs as if to root itself, body leaning forward slightly before a rather large, devastating torrent of green energy in the form of a roughly 5 foot thick beam.
It's target? The Lemur girl rushing headlong into the fray with the intent of taking out some of the Egg Pawns. The attack would inevitably take out the Egg Pawns unfortunately, but that was apparently a risk that the pilot was willing to make.
Scout however would find herself with a familiar weightless feeling as the light washed over. Yellow arms attempting to grab her and lifting the lemur and her impressively huge tail into the air and away from the devastation wrought by the emerald powered beam.
Her savior was none other then the golden griffin from the yellow desert, former sheriff Jack Clarke. She soared up away from the Egg Hulk, landing on the catwalks above, hopefully with the lemur.
"Howdy." She spared for her as she drew her gun and fired down at the beastly robot, namely the canopy hiding what had brought her all this way in the first place.

"We're gonna-- Ungh!"
Fully exploiting the big bad's preoccupation with Scout, the zippy, free-roaming free-runner had seen to their initial objective. It was with a final, triumphant heave that Tabitha threw herself against the last plunger on the last small animal containment unit, freeing the tidal wave of cute within with a multitudinous symphony of popping sounds.
"We're gonna -- "
Whatever terrifying sound a five-foot energy beam made promptly cut off whatever the striped cat had thought they were going to do, calling for a hasty reevaluation of objectives and priorities.
"New plan:" she called to bat, and whoever else could hear her over the din of battle, as she leapt from her perch, plumber-stomping a zealously hopping Pawn on the way down. "Am-scray!"
It went without saying that she hit the ground running, but when she caught sight of their missing lemur (now with flying, shooting cowgirl attachment!), she huffed a jovial half-laugh.
"How is it we keep multiplying, huh? Maybe if we hang around long enough, we'll have an army, too!"

"Nice catch, Jack!" echoed a voice over the din of robotic mayhem, sounding much too thrilled to be caught in the vicinity of such action.
Down back below, a figure had seemingly rushed in from who-knows-where much like the griffin had done moments prior, having managed to scramble up onto the numerous canisters and absolutely ignoring Tabitha's suggestion of retreat. With the most determined of sprints, the reptilian newcomer dashed across the elevated series of giant yellow switches with questionable elegance, the containers now lacking any satisfying pops of release. A point came where it appeared the lizard nearly tipped forward into the beginnings of a proper faceplant onto the floor below ("Ahhhhhh-), but with some creative motions of his tail, balance returned and he continued onward ("-hhhhoooh-kay then").
His objective seemed to be the hulking robot that was taking center stage. A foolish choice, perhaps, but as the reptile came within a few canisters away from the Egg Pawn leader, a strange, energized glow engulfed him.
"Hope this one is good!" he exclaimed in anticipation before outright diving at the Egg Hulk.
There was a flash of energy after his short liftoff, his blurred outline dashing forward with sudden acceleration, like being shot out of a cannon except with a flashy light show. If he had not been deterred up to this point, pre-jump or not, the lizard's body, whether he'd intended it or not, would directly slam into the cockpit of the machine.

"Aye-aye, cap'n," Pilot murmured in return to Tabby's remarks, dropping closer to the floor -- before he noticed Scout being air-lifted by a new figure, and the reptile leaping at the robot, he grinned.
"The universe is callin' in the freakin' cavalry!" the bat laughed breathlessly, popping higher into the air before slamming himself into an approaching Egg Pawn at an angle, kicking it onto its back. The blow send the pawn skidding (with a magnificent screeching of metal as it hit the floor) into a second pawn's "knees"; Pilot rode the first like a skateboard until it hit, whereupon he leapt back into the air with a probably-unnecessary flourish.

About halfway through her mad attack dash, Scout was having some major second thoughts. She didn't trust herself not to completely mess up what would likely be her one chance to attack, but she couldn't just stop on a dime and turn around like Tabby. For this reason, when she found found herself suddenly stomping at thin air, rather than possibly being annoyed that her possible moment of glory was getting cut off she felt nothing but pure, raw relief.
"Don't ever lemme do somethin' like that again," she declared to her savior, her mouth acting faster than her brain. Typically, when she found herself flying Pilot was the cause, so she had just assumed that was still the case. When she realized the greeting came from a griffin with an accent more like hers than Pilot's, she quickly added, "Oorrr not, don't think that's really in a stranger's job description..." Realizing that she had yet to thank the one responsible for saving her from literally being obliterated, she added rapidly, "But thank ya!"
Glancing around, she shrugged and sat down for the moment and observed the scene, making a note of the new faces for later. Wasn't anything she could do from the air, after all, unless she wanted to start throwing candy bars a the Egg Pawn. Sure, she could probably cannonball onto one of the 'bots, but she decided it really wasn't wise to press her luck again just yet.

The beam dissipated, and the robots that Scout had tried to attack were now reduced to scrap metal. She of course had been spared a similar state of being by her griffin savior. Despite being a pain in their sides, he didn't seem to really be thwarting their little mission as he noted that the feline was still releasing animals.
Jack's bullets ricochetted off the canopy, but not without leaving little marks where they hit. Follow that up with a lizard crashing into his cockpit with deceptively powerful force, and the canopy was starting to spider-web. The robot's upper body seemed to recoil from the force, but it recovered quickly before swiping at the air with that claw arm with the intent of grabbing the lizard on the rebound.
Regardless of whether or not it was successful, it's cannon arm raised toward the griffin and her new friend before returning fire. The high-caliber shell would no doubt rip the catwalk apart right from under their feet if they didn't move.

Judging by how fast he'd slammed into the cockpit, Lance was consequently a bit dazed from the sudden burst of velocity. Wisps of chaos energy dissipated from his body in lazy swirls as he tumbled towards the ground once more, yet before the lizard could come to terms with the imminent, headfirst landing, the giant, metal hand of the Egg Hulk decided to come clamping down.
"Oof!"
Lance's arms were firmly pinned down onto his sides as he was caught in mid-air, now dangling helplessly upside down in the least pleasant of positions. It took a moment, but before long, the lizard realized his situation after the last hazy blurs left his vision, feet starting to kick uselessly as if the motions would actually free him. There was a lot of squirming to follow after, his expression dead set with concentration.
