And topple it did, with a big splash and a sound crash, square onto its metal backside. Ivan's kick was more than enough to do the job, and left it reeling there for a moment, flailing and kicking, trying to get its legs loose. If ever they wanted an opportunity, that was it.

The swimming dog had avoided being sucked along into the vortex by clinging to one of the large tied-down crates, hands wrapped tight around the ropes and strops that secured the box. With the giant immobilized, Paxton took the moment to climb on top of the box, dragging himself out of the water, panting. He could see the robot caught on its back in the water, but he didn't have any tools or equipment that could keep it down. Still, he kept his eyes open, surveying the scene and looking out for the others; he still wasn't sure if everyone was alright.

Being swirled around the room like it was a toilet bowl while clinging to a floating box had been the last straw for the wolverine's already-lacking patience. She'd lost her grip and was left to float through the water, kicking and thrashing to keep her head up. She only stopped when she roughly smacked into the side of a immobile container. Rising to her feet, Tyra had an intense scowl on her face, every muscle devoted to displaying just how angry she was. A hand tore through her pockets until she found what she wanted. Soon enough, she threw her hand out of the water and above her head, clutching a dark metal cylinder.

"I still got a grenade!"

"Oh, no! Not a bomb! Don't set that off, not in here!" Pax shouted his protests from the other side of the bay.

Ivan landed from his kick right on top of the toppled giant. Oblivious to Tyra's intent to blow stuff up, he unsheathed his trusty sword. He approached the stubby little head of the Egg Hammer, holding the sword high with blade pointed down with both hands holding the hilt before he thrusted the blade down on the thing's head, hoping to do some damage.

He was perhaps underestimating the strength of it's armor again, but for the record, he was pretty confident in his sword's sharpness!

Sadly for Desmond, the face high amount of water mixed with the back and forth careening caused but the giant's mishaps, he could only flail around in an attempt to grab hold of something bolted down. Finding another pipe, or rail, or whatever he was lucky enough to grab hold of, the ferret pulled himself above water with a gasp as air finally was able to fill his lungs.

This new predicament they happened to get themselves into wasn't the best thing to open your eyes to. First there was a giant robot standing in almost swinging distance away from you, which the second, his hammer would make sure was a painful trip. Things seemed to be heading from bad to worse as the behemoths weapon of war began to gyrate in dangerous revolutions, sucking in all unfortunate customers unable to find a secured object, which seemed to be the pirate as he began to travel with the whirlpool's current. Too far to reach for him, Desmond could only watch in horror at what seemed to be the first fatality, that was until the porter girl's rope caused the giant bot to stop spinning and stumble over.

Things then seemed to be turning around for the better, then the wolverine girl pulled out one of his favorite toys, a grenade. Unfortunately for her the time seemed to be wrong and no one needed the explosive carnage packed in the device. "No!" he screamed aloud, attempting to get the girl's attention. "We don't need it now!" Hopefully things would stay that way and the rabbit, now located on the machine's head, would be able to put the thing out of it's misery with a downward thrust. If not, then maybe her idea would be useful.

"Man, don't I sound like a hypocrite."

Ivan's ferocious tenacity paid off. Owing to leverage and the advantage of his position, his blade went right in the Egg Hammer's faux-tooth-paneled mouth and ended the conflict with a shower of sparks, a sizzle, a puff of smoke, and the stench of an electrical fire. All of its limbs went limp, and it simply laid there sparking.

Everything was (comparatively) quiet again, save for the ever-present background klaxon. There was a tunnel ahead for them to continue through, sloping up at a slight angle (finally out of the water) to travel further into the ship. There were some electronic voices and clattering feet that could be heard; as they continued on, they'd find a scuttling mass of irritating little Crabmeat robots, standing about waist high, and snapping their little clamp-like claws, and even shooting hot, glowing balls of energy from guns couched in them, as well.

The path continued onward beyond the robotic nuisances to a less industrial-looking, more finished hallway with fewer exposed, hazardous machine parts and conduits. There were branching corridors that led to different parts of the ship, but the bridge most logically would have lied straight ahead, and, given the scale of the ship, probably wasn't too much farther.

Finally, things had settled down with one finishing strike to the cranium of the beast, delivered via Pirate Sword. Fenn, clinging to a pipe, had pulled out a waterproof camera and snapped a quick photo of Ivan standing over his fallen prey. He needed something for the scrapbook later.

With their path now no longer obstructed by giant hammer-wielding death machines, the panda quickly swam to the raised floor, primarily to obtain the privilege of standing upright for once. He peered down the hallway, and took note of the irksome metal crustaceans that lay further up, making quite a racket as they moved about. Fenn frowned as he foraged through the miniature compartments lining his belt -- he had some useful tools, but nothing that could clear the corridor of the robots. At least, nothing that wouldn't get them noticed. Or killed.

"Welp." The panda looked once more down the corridor, then back down at his belt. "Welp welp Welp.."

Then, an idea. Apparently, an amusing one, judging by the eager look on his face.

"I thiiink... Lattie should go bowling. Get a strike."

... This was probably another plan for the scrapbook, really.

After Geoff's rebound off the giant's metal gut, the hedgehog had ended up cannon-balling right back into the drink. The next few moments were a limb-thrashing mess when he found himself dragged into the current made by the twirling hammer, unable to find a proper handhold after his up-and-close maneuver. It was only fortunate that Latika and Ivan were quick on the trigger before anything painful occurred.

With that crisis averted, a sodden mess of quills emerged from the water with a gurgle of a cough, Geoff finding his footing on the submerged floor once more. One quick diagnosis of what became the fate of the hammer-wielding Pawn later, he began to wade across the neck-high pool, giving an acknowledging, appreciative nod towards the loris and hare responsible for the downed 'bot. His attention was soon on Fenn, however.

"I'll do you one better," commented the hedgehog as he approached the hall. Oddly enough, he was awfully casual with his tone. Perhaps all of this was just becoming regular business; small dangers that held no more severity in his eyes... or else he just felt like playing along with the officer's proposal. Chances are, it was both.

A moment later, he was careening up the hall in a blur of quills and a blast of water, spindashing (again) towards the awaiting forces like the bowling ball Fenn wished for. Hedgehogs stuck to their trademark maneuvers, it seemed.

This worked out best to the most schedules, as Lattie was momentarily preoccupied trying to untangle her meteor hammer's rope from around her former quarry's legs. It was a surprisingly difficult task, and cost her a little bit of time, while the rest of the party forged on. Eventually, though, she'd retrieved her weapon, coiled, and stowed it, looking just a shade worse than haggard as she sloshed on through, battling with garments comprised of far more fabric than was ever intended to be water-logged.

The Griffin was glad to have such a group, but was a little depressed at how worthless she was against these robots, she holstered her weapons and stood on the robot taking note of Ivans... thorough work. It was a wonder that blow didn't electrocute the hare, but she shrugged it off and fluttered up the stairs after the panda.

"heh. He's showin' off now." Jack said to Fenn, with an amused smirk as she unholstered a weapon and walked up the corridor after the hedgehog. She'd be more then happy to put a bullet into any of the crabs that weren't horribly dismembered by the spinning quill covered death ball they called Geoff.

Casey remained silent through most of the proceedings—not out of any particular impetus to be quiet, nor because he was upset about anything, but because it was just an intense, action-packed romp, and he had nothing to speak of. It was not the time for speech; it was the time for stabbing robots and shooting crabs.

That being said, he wordlessly, but happily, followed Jack's lead on the cleanup effort, trundling along behind with machinegun blurting and belching out fire and hot lead at anything left moving. For the time being, he was just in support mode.

Geoff's bowling-ball attack could be considered a form of research on small robots. And the findings? They're crunchy.

A nice swath was cut through the swarm, and the entire center-line of the corridor was cleared. Many were cast aside by the carnage, and still functional, but Jack would find that these were pretty much entirely unarmored, and that her sidearm had no trouble punching holes in them. In turn, Casey's thus pretty much tore them to shreds, naturally. And, as before, each robot that took critical damage behaved in a similar way: it popped with a little burst of smoke and machinery, and let loose a single ring. The corridor was pretty much full of them by this point.

As the group forged onward, the experience was largely similar. There were robots, lots of gunfire, a lot of smashing, and eventually... the bridge!

The final doorway they passed through indeed seemed to be their destination. The room was about thirty feet across, with a row of squarish windows (which currently gave a non-view of a murky, black sea). It was dark, disorientingly lit only by the spinning yellow emergency lights and its numerous screens and consoles, of which not a single one was attended by anyone. It looked as though the room had very suddenly been abandoned. There were some drink cups here and there, a bag of chips (fresh), a handheld computer, and, on one of the screens, an action movie of some sort was still playing, albeit on mute.

There were multiple ways in and out of the bridge. At least one hole in the floor near the back wall had a metal ladder going down to a lower deck, while a side exit was present on each end of the bridge, as well, with metal "fast-acting" ship doors (the type with the classic wheel in the center to operate it). Otherwise, there was no hint as to where the crew had gone.

Would it have really been a surprise to anyone that Casey had decided to start collecting all the rings they found? Unless someone else got to them first, he apparently decided the dropped goodies were bonus pay ("Think I'll have me some'a this!"), and weaved around the corridor to collect as many as he could without falling too far behind. Needless to say, this behavior would probably cause him to be the last one in the bridge.

Since this probably was their only possible break time for the next few hours or days, but who's complaining... Desmond waited a bit for the porter girl to collect her iron yarn ball thing while he took the time to squeeze most of the absorbed water out of his clothing. Moments later he would be inside the room with Casey leisurely collecting the dropped rings scattered on the ground.

Squeezing a bit more on his soggy cargo pants, the ferret finally took notice of the preoccupied boar and his money grabbing agenda. Looking over at some more loose rings, he began to pick them up himself, giving the boar an extra hand collecting the golden circles.

"So" the ferret finally piped up as he bent over to collect another ring, "You got someone in mind to buy a gift for or something?" Finally done collecting the remains, the ferret walked over to Casey and handed the boar his collection.

Paxton had lingered behind the likes of Casey and Jack, feeling quite secure between the armed gunfighters and the horde of squishy robots. He'd spent most of the walk trying to dry himself off, as did Tyra, who also spent some of the walk looking moody over being soaked and being denied her chance to make things explode. Her hand still eagerly fumbled with the grenade in her pocket. Though she didn't fall behind to scrounge up rings, she did pause a few times to pocket the ones closest to her.

"Ahh, finally here," the agent sighed in relief upon reaching their destination. Now that they were so boldly invading an empty room, Pax bravely moved to the front to examine the scene. His first focus was the various computer monitors and systems that had been left unattended. He moved from station to station, quietly examining each screen's contents.

There was a loud crinkling of plastic followed by quiet crunching. Tyra was nonchalantly helping herself to the fresh bag of chips while watching the silenced film. It seemed even the disorienting nightmare of gravity that had occurred only minutes ago hadn't impaired her appetite. "Hey, I've seen this movie before," she said between chomps.
