Updates Sonic Spindash RP is closed.Founded 05/25/2002 by three friends; ended 09/19/2012.
It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.
Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.
I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.
I love you guys. God bless.

We have a completely unexplored side of the conflict with the whole Eggman Empire deal. I was looking at the fact that the GUN side is pretty decently staffed, while there remain a number of characters who just aren't suited for working for it, or aren't interested in fighting Chimera.
I may be spinning my wheels here with something no one is interested in, but, just in case: Should we have another group/faction whose threads will focus on Eggman? And what characters would you want to put in such a faction if it existed? (Please don't drag any off of GUN too quickly, though; we wouldn't want Pax's team to suddenly become shorthanded.) Also note that official characters would probably be welcome in this faction, as well.
In addition, I only have so much time for writing scene-setting stuff, posting as NPC (Eggman's robots primarily), and so on, and so forth, so if this did happen, I think I'd need help. While I'm very cautious about who we give the role of Eggman to — since playing him even a little bit off-model could wreck up a Sonic RP — some help from an experienced member in planning, playing, and posting as his forces would be pretty rad.
Thoughts? (Don't forget to scroll up and vote, too.)

I think it could add a bit more to what we already have.
With the recent trouble surrounding him it gives a good reason for a character to want to be against Eggman.
Also, I have been messing with a character that would work well for this. I'll post her up soon enough.

Additional layers for storytelling action? Yes, I wholeheartedly support this. Whether I would actually have any characters that could come up into this anti-Eggman faction or not, though, is definitely on the "not sure" side right now. Maybe a revamp of an older character could be a saving grace for one of my others that've gone unused, or never even had a chance to shine to begin with.
Aside from that, I would have to seeeee if I could contribute any, but first things first - I gotta focus GUN-side at the moment.
On the subject of Eggman, while I would personally love to give him another go, I'mmm already well aware of why I'm not the -best- choice for that. At the very least, though, I think helping out with NPC content would be well within my capabilities. So, if things start rolling in that direction, I'll put my name in the hat to give a hand with it.

Seeing how I have two characters on hold (one completely unused and an other I would like to bring back into action) I think having another layer in the RP would be beneficial to my writing itch by getting those two involved in someway. I'd rather not juggle three at a time in one thread, so having some side story where they could be introduced more fluidly would be nice.
Also, I'm all for some NPC work. However, that would probably only stay within setting a scene and general narrative, seeing how I'm a tad uncomfortable with the notion of writing as the Egghead. Don't get me wrong, he's easily one of the canon characters I would enjoy writing for, but the bar seems a bit too high this time.
Could probably toss in Shadow again if the need arises as well.

Gotta keep his actions carefully (obsessively) controlled for the time being. I was just talking about getting help playing out the affable robotic grunts that everybody has a jolly time smashing. I think that's a pretty good idea. I'd like to help, either with my character or in any way I can.

Ah, must have not interpreted it correctly then. Still up for being controller of the mooks, though.

I have my own reasons for voting to help on the Eggman side of things. They should be revealed shortly, if we decide to do this.

Truth be told, I've really been wanting to scratch that Power Mask Itch. And who better a righteous hero to face off with than a heinous bad guy?

Alright. So, it looks like we are most certainly doing this. The question is how.
Where do we start? Do we make it some sort of true, somewhat-organized group? Who's headin' up the show? How did the group end up together? Heck, what characters do we have together on this?
I'm sure we can toss in some new characters (like Mike, plus the one Amanda is submitting), and some officials (and pseudo-official in Rachel's case), but I guess we need somebody to band it all together. I'm not sure Tank is quite the type for the job, but I definitely don't want it to be any character of mine. I might not even pitch one in, myself, unless I get around to making that pillbug guy I wanted to do (but even though, definitely no leader).
I know that on the opposition side we have Ben's latest addition (or a new spin on an old addition), so that's a little something to beef up the Eggman forces, and I feel pretty confident there. It's just the protagonist side that lacks a lot of elements.

Actually, hold on, maybe Tank IS the type that can band it together. He's got the resources, and the prestige. And certain a motive, seeing as he's a defender of justice, and Eggman is a known defiler of justice. Aside from him though... I'm not even sure who we even have on the Protagonist side.

And if Tank brings everyone together, he has a connection with Henshin who then is linked to Lance, making a somewhat convenient way for me to bring him into the picture. I can support this idea.

Plus, if my character gets accepted she would be one to try and get some connections to like-minded groups. Perhaps that could be a strong reason she falls into the rest.
