It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

"Well..." began the serval, almost sighing over how unavoidable the subject was. "Let's look at it this way; right now, there's three forces in the world on the rise to power. Chimera, GUN, and the ever-elegant Eggman Empire. One of them is headed by a narcissistic psychopath with a bloated sense of self-importance and a fetish for ovals. The other has made a career list as long as my dick, all of which center around killing, stealing and lying, with nothing but the higher-ups own well-being as their top priority."

He shrugged again, and shook his head.

"Where else is there?"

"...You...you can't seriously be considering joining that maniac?" Pax blurted out with great exasperation. "I mean, please tell me you're not seriously thinking that. Please tell me I'm just misunderstanding you." Pax took a few steps forward to draw closer to the serval, but still maintained his distance as well as his wide-eyed, almost gawking expression.

"You deaf?" the hedgehog suddenly addressed Pax. "You heard 'im. He's runnin' back to Rock."

Geoff didn't even try to shuffle around the subject, opting for the blazing route straight into its heart. The bluntness of the observation was a bit cold, disappointed with the cat's decision... and holding a tone that seemed to betray that the hedgehog was even a bit offended. It only contributed to the sudden blank stare he delivered towards the feline in question before turning in his seat, putting his back to Ace in an attempt to just block off the serval's presence, his voice once again lacking emotion.

"Was nice knowing you."

Casey became tense when the conversation took a turn for the worse. Maybe some part of him made him contemplate whether or not he should have been readying his gun; after all, Ace was pretty much establishing himself as a direct enemy right then and there. But, he just didn't really... have the stomach to, apparently.

He did raise a brow at Geoff's back-turning, huffing exhibition, though. Whatever the case, he chose to remain silent, and just sit there with his jaw locked, and awaited the moment when he would either have to do something, or be allowed to relax enough to let his butt unclench the seat he was sitting on. Talk about an uncomfortable moment.

Latika frowned, seeming to swell with indignation.

"Who are you to decide what right for everyone?" she spat at the hedgehog, crossing her arms over her chest. "If what Ace say is true, possible they can be lesser of three evils. He do what he think is best; you do what you think is best. Don't be jerk just because of differing opinion on what 'best' is. Geoff have no right to condescend to people just who don't agree with him because of blinding grudge."

The porter swayed in her seat, pausing, yet just long enough to swallow dryly.

"I don't know anything about situation here," she continued, looking now to Pax, looking slightly haggard, but sober in all means of the word. "All I have experience with, just that is Eggman bad, but I trust Mr. Casey's judge of scenario, so I stay with him."

"Well, let's be honest," Ace spoke, scratching the back of his neck with an informal, almost casual flair. "Nobody really expected me to go along with this after last night, did they?" His head shook slightly. "I don't have a beef with any of you. If anything, I should be thanking you for looking after my sorry hide for this long. Even you, Pax. And while GUN can kiss my furry ass, I'm not gonna, go hunt any of you down if I see you in their uniform. ...All the same, if we meet on opposite ends of a battlefield... it's, really nothing personal."

And, there it all was. It had to have been for a sense of fairness and respect that Ace would lay out his proverbial cards on the table for everyone to see. It was really a shame they couldn't all be on the same boat together... He'd miss 'em.

But before he could walk out through the door, he caught himself with one last thing to say before he could ever hope to make peace with them.

"Oh, and... Latika. Sorry I was a jerk in the hospital. I w'z in a bad mood."

The agent listened listlessly to Ace's response, almost slack-jawed. Here he was, declaring himself an enemy and leaving, and he was acting nice about it. In the agent's head, thoughts churned and spun as he tried to understand why a reasonable guy like Ace was going off to join up with Lochert of all people.

It was when he was standing right at the door that he kicked himself to raise a hand and call out to him.

"Hold it! Just...I...l-listen, I can tell you're a good guy, but...if you go to stand with him, I promise you, you're...you're gonna fall with him too. If they send me after you... E-even then, even then, after all this is over, someone's gonna remember this, and I promise you, sooner or later, they're going to come after you."

His hand shook and weakly fell to his side as he breathed in. The words just fell out on their own, and his stomach was churning. He expected some to say no, but this result felt like it came from nowhere.

"...Do you...really wanna risk this? I'm telling you now, if you go join Lochert, you're going to end up in the same hole he's in. He's not gonna win this, no way. Sooner or later, it's gonna fall apart, and... Do you really want to go down with him?"

All attempts at maintaining the 'cool-headed professional' image had fallen way to the rookie's poor nerves and emotions. By the sound of his voice and the look in his eyes, Pax was practically pleading with the gambler.

Ivan

Ivan was completely unsurprised by the turn of events. The reason he wasn't, Ace had cited in short order. After all, everyone present was there to witness his reconciliation with Rock. The rabbit looked around at everyone as the less-than-comfortable conversation panned out.

It's not often that he felt unsure of what to do, and he hated the feeling. So much so, that he would pressure himself to act in spite of it, worrying about regret or repercussions after the fact. Without warning and without acknowledging Pax's last ditch effort to reel Ace in, he stood from his seat, eyes locked on the cat who declared his status as an enemy, pulling his pistol from it's holster, pulling the hammer back with his thumb as he lined it up with Ace's chest.

"Nothin' personal," He said without a hint of his usual drunken jolliness, and without further ado, pulled the trigger.

There was a loud bang as the weapon let loose it's projectile, and despite it's archaic design, it had quite a bit of kick to it, knocking him on his ass, as he didn't properly root for it. For all intents and purposes, it was an arm cannon.

Jack frowned at the sereval, her eyes narrowing on him. his reasoning seemed more then a little backwards. She didn't know what was wrong in Ace's brain that made him think this made sense. She couldn't keep quiet and just let him bow out.

Whatever it was the cowgriffin wanted to do, however, was suddenly derailed. Her eyes snapped open wide when Ivan pulled his gun, she was well aware of the power that cannon could unleash. Jack scrambled out of her chair towards the pirate in such a panicked rush that she kicked her chair over.

Fortunately for Ivan, it was unlikely he'd have to suffer such a nasty fall in the first place. For while it may have slipped the others' notice, Ace wasn't one to look the other way when Ivan went on and on describing himself as an untrustworthy pirate. And he wasn't one to sit still while said pirate stood himself up, reached for a weapon, and echo his own words before taking a potshot at him.

Ace's arm whipped into a blur, and one of his patented chaos-cards was already cutting the air by the hare's first syllable. Unless he jerked it away at the last second, either the gun would go flying, or he would.

Ivan saw the counter attack coming, but didn't have the time to really do anything about it. The gun was knocked from his hands by the explosive contact of the chaos-infused card.

Ivan didn't miss a beat though, kicking off the ground and launched himself at the cat at blinding speed, throwing a clenched fist at the alleycat's gut with every intent to knock the wind out of his lungs.

WHUMP.

Ivan's fist made its mark to audible effect into Ace's abdomen, though he was already too tense and tight to get much of the wind knocked out of him. Not to say it felt nice, because it actually really hurt, but it was a long shot from a knockout blow.

The serval released a strained, quiet grunt that made him gnash his teeth in pain, but where Ivan had the lightning legs to get him to places, Ace had the lightning arms to keep them there. Hardly any sooner than the blow landed, his left hand violently snatched out in an instant at the rabbit's head for whatever was there for the snatching, simply to hold it there in a kung-fu grip. Given his poofy hairdo and two giant ears, the menu wasn't terribly scarce.

Ivan made an effort to avoid the vice grip of his opponent, but with those big floppy ears were just too hard to control and the serval would inevitably be successful in grabbing one or even both of them. The result was the same. His head would jerk as he tried to move around the serval's right side.

"Herk."

In retaliation, he brought his arm up to grab Ace's neck, or the front of his shirt. If he managed that, he'd pivot his body. He only needed enough leeway to bring a leg behind the serval so he could proceed to push the serval over he leg(while simultaneously dragging his leg back into Ace's legs). The intented result would be to pull Ace's legs out from under him and throw him to the ground. Assuming the attack's success, regardless of whether or not Ace retained his grip, Ivan went down with him, throwing elbow down on his chest.

"S-son of a...!"

Pax had frozen up when Ivan pulled the gun. Golden eyes wide open and jaw completely dropped as the entire situation spiraled far beyond what he could have imagined in the span of only a few seconds, the agent felt himself stuck in place, watching the chaos unfold. This was not how he wanted it to go. This was nowhere near how he wanted it to go.

And he had no idea what to do. Mind racing, his muscles twitched as he tried to think of something, anything to do to stop this. Was the gun-toting drunken pirate going to listen to him if he asked Ivan to stop? He didn't need much field experience to tell him no. Only one other option leaped to the front of his mind, and with it, so did he. He dashed to the side and hopped over the table that Geoff was seated at, nearly slamming into the hedgehog if he was still there. Nearly tripping as he landed, Paxton circled around, hoping to put himself between the door and the wrestling pair. But as he got there, his mind hit a blank. He still had no idea what to do. Throw Ivan off, or help pin Ace down?

"...Sh...st...fri..."

"Oh, you gotta be kiddin' me..." came an annoyed yet oddly calm voice.

The eerily quiet wolverine had sat at her table without a word through the whole thing. In fact, she hadn't looked up once from her moody stare at the table's metal surface--at least, not until Ivan had pulled the gun and the fight began. But she didn't seem disturbed by any of it. Tyra almost looked bored, even, in how she rose from her seat and picked the metal chair up, folding the seat in. She let out a loud, unrestrained yawn as she began to slowly approach the wrestling pair, chair tucked under her right arm. But although her eyes looked sleepy, there was a sharpness and focus in them that suggested she had some kind of idea.

The full gamut from tension, to surprise, then resignation had run across Casey's face in the course of a few seconds. He had scraped his chair back and stood up abruptly, but when the time came to do move, he did so quite slowly. He knew better than to interrupt Ivan when he was brawling mano y mano, but nonetheless plodded quickly over to stand at the ready by the door to the elevator lobby.

He hiked his pants up a little higher with a tug at his belt and wore a tight-lipped "welp" face.

"Better get used to this, Agent Gardyner," he called over the noise of the scuffle to the dog, who was pretty openly wigging out. "Friends are one thing, but allies are just enemies who don't have enough incentive to fight'cha yet!"

...

"Git'im, Ivan! Go to the body!"
