If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. Jack tipped her hat at the Boar, then turned her attention to the coyote, she had assumed he was with them, but it became apparent he was not. She blinked a bit, a little uncomfortable with the sudden appearance of the kid, then looked at Geoff as he departed.
"Huh." She shook her head a moment. "I reckon you've got no shortage of unique people hanging around."
After a moment of consideration she arched a brow. "Mirror? There was a news report about a missin' mirror."

There was a short but relieved sigh from the wolverine when she realized she'd finally get some peace. She leaned against the grill of the truck, arms crossed, the last shreds of illness dissipating from her mind and body.
With everyone's focus on the coyote and his fancy top, it would have likely taken a moment to notice yet another person approaching the group on foot. Anyone with good vision and focus would have been able to see his features: he was also a canine, with blue-ish gray fur and golden eyes, but little to suggest he was something other than an average dog. With his black vest and military-style boots, along with his stern posture, it wouldn't have been much of a logical leap to deduce that this was the 'government man' that Casey had spoken of.
He was silent until he was within clear earshot, still standing a good number of feet away from Jack and Geoff. Only then did he stop, hands behind his back, eyes scanning the scene before him, and a stone-faced expression.
"I'm looking for Mr. Will Casey." His voice was firm and clear, yet spirited and somewhat high-pitched.

"Yeah. Somethin' called the Norden Circle. Some sort of artifact tha—"
Cue the arrival of the "government man" and the sudden cutoff of Geoff's reply to Jack. He gave the stranger an inquisitive look over, as if trying to judge his purpose, but without much hesitation, an arm rose and a thumb jerked back to where the boar stood. Managing to acknowledge the location of Casey's presence, the hedgehog took a step to the side in an effort to watch whatever was about to occur.

The considerably larger boar stepped out of the group with a more... welcoming, less procedural look about him than the operative standing before him. It wasn't that he was sloppy; his pants were clean, his shirt was tucked in, and his red jacket was minimally soiled given the adventure he'd just undertaken without laundry time, but the way he postured himself and grinned just looked jolly.
"Tha'ss me," he said, extending a (left) hand to shake. "Agent Gardyner, is it?"

Mako... was nowhere to be found. Was he still trapped in a closet back in the middle of nowhere? Of course not. He had just had entirely too much of enclosed spaces in the past handful of days, and from the moment that civilization had come into view, he had up and dived straight into the water. Shark overboard, and all (perhaps one too many remarks about shark soup had been made?).
The point here was that he was firmly and decisively of the mind that he deserved to take a dip, darn it, and so had put some space between himself and The Emerald Lady and swam his way in.
A sharky head popped out of the water. For all that had happened, he seemed surprisingly contented as he shambled his way up without much in the way of ceremony, shaking the water out of his shoes.
His face fell immediately once...
"THE NORDEN CIRCLE IS AN ARTIFACT OF GREAT IMPORTANCE," boomed a voice in response to Geoff's cut-off sentence, completely disregarding Casey's attempts to speak with the agent-- some passengers were still getting themselves off of the ship. That is to say, a spear-wielding aardwolf riding cheerfully on the shoulders of a tremendous purple cat, waving his spear at the air vigorously.
As Big trundled his way onto the docks, wood creaking under his feet, the ship behind him just about bobbed from the sudden relief of weight.

The agent had to look up to make eye contact with the huge boar who nearly towered above him. The dog accepted the handshake, though with a bit of awkward hesitance, clearly not expecting a jovial giant of all people. "Uhh, y-yeah, that's me," he stuttered, that rigid and professional posture faltering for a moment. He shook his head a bit and tried to reaffirm his earlier, serious appearance. Withdrawing his hand from the hearty shake, he introduced himself, "I am Agent Paxton Gardyner of G.U.N., I work primarily within the intelligence division. I have been assigned by my superiors to..."
He trailed off a bit, clearly attempting to retrieve something from memory. After a moment spent in a daze, Paxton continued, "to assist in the location and retrieval of the missing Cape Norden artifact, as well as the location and detainment of those who currently possess it." Standing up straight, hands firmly at his sides (though they did shake a bit), voice clear and loud, formal and direct speech. Clearly this man took his job seriously.
When he heard yelling, he did not leave the spot where he stood. Paxton simply leaned to his left to peer around the large man in front of him. He saw a middle-aged man shouting very loudly while brandishing a spear and riding on the shoulders of a giant purple cat.
Pax stopped looking and resumed his straight posture, a twitch in his brow.
"...You've gotta be kiddin' me..."

Jack looked to Geoff about to ask a question when Sir Corin had popped up.
"Hello Corin," She said with some manor of disbelief and a shake of her head. "And Mako, its good to see you again!"
For Corin the jury was out on whether or not she was happy to see him. Jack was pretty sure he was out of his mind, and not knighted at all. But he wasn't really a bad guy, just extremely... crazy. She was glad to see Mako in a state of not-distress for a change. She however was sure this was going to be short lived, and she didn't even know about what had happened in Chu-nan.
She stared at the agent a moment, arching a brow as she listed to him struggle to remember his objective? She shook her head, it couldn't be that, Gun wasn't in that bad a shape. "Pardon me, Mr. Casey, Agent Gardyner, but what does this artifact do?"
She had to assume the artifact was serious business given Cape Norden asking for help in the first place and GUN diverting what little resources it had at the moment to finding it. She had a ton of questions really, but that one had been bothering her most given there was really nothing she could find out about it.

Lattie had never really been one to keep quiet for so long, but to be fair, there was a lot to take in at the moment. She couldn't help but shrink back slightly at the approach of the GUN Agent, even though her posture loosened upon observing Casey's comfort with the stranger. Still, something was bothering her, and her mouth hung open starting about mid-way through the canine's briefing, and continued to do so even as the very Western(!)-looking griffin inquired of further details. Before she would get them, though, the loris had to interject.
"Excuse me, sorry," she interrupted, stepping between the conversing parties, dividing a wide-eyed imploring stare between boar, dog, and griffin. "Look for mirror and punish thiefs is all nice and dandy, but what about friend they stole too?"
"We are trying to retrieve our Ace!"

Casey winced when Corin shouted; he glanced over his shoulder at about the same time as Pax peeked around him. Somewhere in the awkward silence following, he reestablished eye contact with a look that was either uncomfortable or apologetic. However, before he could comment on just who that was (if Pax hadn't already mentally matched him to the profile of the "maybe crazy Cape Nordener" Casey had described on the phone on some prior occasion), Jack spoke, then Latika threw in her lot of concern.
"Y-yeah, that's still on the docket, just..."
It suddenly felt very crowded there.
"I think, uh, in this company is maybe not the best place to talk about this," he finally said, directly to Pax, clearly irritated by the fact that he could hardly get an introduction out of his mouth before everyone started interrupting.

Vade was still up and comfortable on the side of the dump truck, merely watching the scene unfold now, although he couldn't help but snicker as what seemed to be a regular conversation at first begun to erupt into a sprawling chaos with multiple voices interrupting eachother.
Now he realised how glad he was with the fact that the boar shoved him off when he tried to stick his nose in whatever their business was.
His eyes occasionally dropped to check if his top-spinner was still on the ground next to the truck where he left it, before he turned his eyes back to the scene in front of him, trying to make out what they were talking about, which wasn't easy because of his distance for starters, and the chaotic talking through eachother wasn't helping out either. But just watching the boar that had shoved him off verbally earlier sweat under a crowd was giving him a satisfying feeling of payback.

"Erm, well, hm, yes, I suppose..." Pax stumbled over his words, feeling just as weighed upon by the sudden torrent of questions from inquisitive minds. "Perhaps we should save this for later, and focus on our current plan of action now?" he politely suggested to the whole group.
"What's the, um, situation on transportation?"
"We're not taking the dinky truck, are we?" Tyra loudly asked, giving the grill and hood a few knocks to emphasize her point. She was only half-listening to the whole conversation, as hardly any of it involved her. It just sounded like pointless natter.

Casey gave Pax a deadpan look. "You didn't handle it?" he uttered with a voice that somehow both groaned and sighed. "I've kin'na been on a pirate galleon for a while, so, no, I don't have it cov— y'know what, no," he suddenly interrupted himself, standing straighter with palm out. "We're not gonna fuss with this. Look, just— just walk with me, talk with me here, let's get some things squared away."
With that and a pat to the shoulder, he started meandering off in a slow trod down the docks, away from the others.
"Before we do anything, here, just answer me two questions," he began in a low voice. "One, d'ya have my money," (cue a paranoid glance over his shoulder), "and two, how much support d'ya have at'cher disposal? Manpower-wise?"

Ivan was uncharacteristically quiet through all the banter. He was fairly new to the scene and was just absorbing all the details he could. He looked around at people as they spoke, trying to piece it all together.
As Casey lead the agent away from the group, he took a deep breath. If he was going to join this adventure, he had to get up to speed. He walked over to Geoff, putting a friendly arm around his shoulder with a goofy grin.
"So, lad... What do you suspect be our next move?" He asked, hoping to get his take on the situation.

Geoff visibly flinched Sir Corin's rowdy (as usual) appearance from the boat, only capable of peering off in a completely opposite direction as if trying to deny the entire existence of the aardwolf behind him. This had been a typical mental attempt by him for the entirety of the trip, being consistently not found in whatever section of the ship Corin presided in at any given time. Of course, there was only so much boat, and the theatrical spear wielder was one who followed. A lot.
It was a good thing Ivan managed to snap the hedgehog out of those dreadful memories, eyes becoming alert as he awkwardly stood in the rabbit's casual grasp.
"Our first move was just getting here," he began, not too sure of what direction they were headed quite yet. "But I'm pretty sure that most of us agreed that we're tryin' to track down Li Fang, 'cause when we find him, we find Ace. Thing is, I have no proper clue where to even start. Looks like Casey is attemptin' to figure that one out." His voice started to gain suspicion as he slowly looked across the dock to where Casey and his new government pal were trundling off to. "Like to know where he keeps gettin' all this info and connections, though..."

Ivan nodded intently as Geoff spoke on his thoughts about the situation. Li Fang was a familiar name for sure. Bad news, that guy. He released the hedgehog and gave out a hearty fit of laughter at his apprehension regarding Casey.
"Arr.. Don't you be worryin' about ol' Case'. Ya don't get ta live as long as him doin' this kinda thing without a few questionable connections; he be on the level. We be havin' a history, me an' him." He grinned, throwing a playful punch at the hedgehog's shoulder. Yeah. As if Ivan wasn't one of those questionable connections, right?
"Real question be where to find some booze, ya savvy?" He said as he looked around the harbor. What's a harbor without a bar a short walk from port? Sailors always needed a drink after a long voyage.
