It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

Mako's eyebrows had shot up the second Coop's head had done its vanishing act, and consequently remained raised through until Geoff secured the belt on.
This entire deal was completely foreign ground to the fish; as a result, his orange eyes were wide with wonderment. After everything, he was still extremely intrigued by anything new, flashy, and (above all) cool. This fulfilled all three criteria, and thus was veritable shark-bait (hoo-hah-hah). He shuffled his way over nearer the hedgehog, peering at the belt.

"... no disappearing mojo for you, Sparkly," he remarked to the hedgehog (just for good measure). "... but, uh. ... maybe whatsisface," and he gestured at Coop, then at the belt, "kind of... pushed all the buttons on the elevator, so to speak."

Rodolf remained silent, but had quietly discreetly leaned against their vehicle again.

"...whoa."

Geoff took a moment to study the foreign symbols lining the belt, even turning his body so he could see how far around they went. Having expected to just vanish into thin air much like Coop's head had done moments prior, this was revealing that the object had a much broader choice of uses. After a moment, he looked up, nodding towards Mako as he acknowledged him.

"Maybe." He looked down at the belt again, fingers lingering right over the surface of it. "Guess there's more to this... thing."

"Hm."

His worries having vanished in the presence of the belt's apparent "cool and totally harmless" factor, he randomly chose a button with a press of his finger.

The belt made an odd sound in response, almost like an above-audible-range whining noise. The symbol lit red and became obscured by a single hash mark, blinking.

Geoff then became... very... blurry. Bystanders would see him begin to jitter in place, as if a poor signal received by an old, staticy television. An odd, white light surrounded him, and his spatial position altered suddenly. One second he was where he started, the next he was jolting between there and some spot three feet in the air. Then, the next, he was visible in two places almost at the same time, flickering between the top of the van and a position fifteen feet to the left of it.

The last thing Geoff would see before sailing at Coop's barrel chest was the colors of his environment streaking around him like overexposed light in a picture taken by a moving camera at night. The bizarre effects then relented.

He had apparently pressed a different button than Coop.

There was a pause.

"... I call dibs on trying it next," Mako said to those assembled, in a half-kidding tone.

Bird and Hog came to rest about six meters out from where they started, in a tangled pile of limbs, feathers and spines.

“Aaaarugh,” said Coop, “aughughhruaaaAUUUGHGgEEET OFF ME.”

He heaved himself upright, blood streaming down his face.

“Uggh,” he added, trying to wipe some of the blood away, “change of plans; we put these stupid things back in their box and don’t

touch them

“until we can get them to someone who knows what they’re doing. Tails, I guess.”

He looked around the garage. He shuffled to the edge and peered out at the skyline, looking for surveillance or signs of cop speeder activity.

"Heh heh, heheh." Ace, even in the obviously low spirits he was, couldn't stop himself from squeezing out a husky growl of a laugh. Hey, it was funny. "Aaallright. Shhhit..." He massaged a crick in his neck with a heavy press of his palm. "Guess that's our next stop, once we get the chance... 'F we're lucky, maybe we can figure out somethin' to do with these that we couldn't before."

"Like get ourselves killed without Eggman's help," he added softly.

"You could always ask me if you need help."

The voice, a terrible one, came from directly above Coop's head as he leaned out to examine the world beyond the parking garage's confines. On the level immediately above him was none other than Seven, peering down with a big smile, arms folded across the concrete railing that was supposed to keep him from falling.

He flipped forward over the rail, twisted, and dropped to Coop's level, swinging in effortlessly with longcoat flapping. Naturally, he landed dramatically one one knee, then stood and regarded everyone through black sunglasses. Even though it was night.

"Nice work back there, rookies."

Mako's eye began twitching the second the noise reached his ears. He slapped his hand onto his forehead and tried to cover up what might have been a little 'mommy' with a groan.
"Why can't twenty minutes pass without something going wrong?" the shark lamented, looking up to the sky as though pleading to the unknown deity that seemed to hate him.

"Yes, because we're all itching to get, what, electrocuted? Thrown off a building? Wholesale slaughtered?" Rodolf said, in a surprisingly even tone, from where he leaned against their transport. (Considering his, er, behavior just prior, there were jokes to be made that maybe he did.)

He cocked his head to look at their bestest buddy in the whole wide world, and seemed to be trying for all the world to look unperturbed. Though at least marginally successful in this, the fact that his lip was curling, unconsciously, and that his eyes began to narrow the second he laid gaze on Seven (and his longcoat, and his sunglasses at night) did not help this attempt.

Coop ignored him. He turned back to the van as if the kid was not there and began to saunter away.

Geoff was a little dazed, to say the least. Hopping between points like an indecisive inter-dimensional rabbit was a dizzying experience, the abrupt changes in color and position having brought confusion to the hedgehog. He barely noticed when he finally slammed head-on into Coop and went tumbling, only silently relieved it was all over.

It took him a moment to regain his senses and shake his head a bit to clear it before he pushed himself back onto his feet.

Whatever conversation there had been was muted for the last few seconds, so as he slowly looked up to the human boy, he blinked once slowly before a jolt of recognition flashed in his eyes.

He tensed, looked about to see what the others were doing before just silently resting a hand on the belt, staring at the kid. His fingers were frozen over the device, debating if he should test his luck with another button.

"Now, now," he chided, "there's no reason for you to be so shy. I'm here to help."

He oozed a smile. He folded his hands behind his back and projected his nose high.

"Besides, I think we may need each other." His brow quirked and his head tilted to an exactingly premeditated cant so he could look over the tops of his shades just so. "Or have you not heard?"

"Goody! Let's all be buddy-buddy with the guy who tried to kill us! Repeatedly!" Mako blurted, in what may have been the single most sarcastic voice he had ever used. (Quite a feat.)
A pause as he realized what he had said.

"... I'll wait in the car," he added quietly, gesturing his thumb towards the van, and the he turned to do so, shuffling after the eagle.

Rodolf stopped the shark by grabbing him by the bottle-opener that was his his tail fin. He said nothing in return to his utterly bewildered expression, simply he pushed himself to stand upright.
The horse continued saying nothing, but looked at Seven, raising an eyebrow.

His expression all but said 'this oughta be good'.

"That's it."

Suddenly, what little taste of mirth lingered in Ace's mouth... vanished, just like that. When it almost seemed like he was just going to sigh it off, inhaling a deep breath-- only to spit on the ground before his feet. "Shut up, you #$&^ing wetwipe," he spat, his seat still on the edge of the van, but not for long. He sprung up slowly, if that was even possible, taking a step in the boy's direction and leering at his eyes-- not his shades, but the eyes behind them. All with a calmness so lucid, and so uncharacteristically dark, it could've sent chills down the backs of his very allies. He spoke in a roar that was crammed into a whisper. "I need your help like you need another mirror in your bedroom. Either you tell us what you want, or get out of here before you don't have a choice anymore."

"If you wanna fight first, then fine," the purplish-haired human boy breathed through a grin, broadening his stance with a slow, scraping sweep of his fashionable black boot's sole across the rough concrete.

He plucked his shades off his face, folded them with one hand, and slid them smoothly into his pocket.

"Let's beat it out of your system, then work together."

Leaning up casually against the van, the bird surveyed the would-be fighters with interest. Honestly, she found the idea pointless. It wasn't like they didn't have one common enemy. Then again, that kid didn't seem very trustworthy. At least it sparked some interest in the deary surroundings. It was like a funeral or something now.

At least when Coop was getting damaged it was funny. Then again, she was pretty sure he wasn't too bad off. Guy was like a rock or something.
