It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.
Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.
I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.
I love you guys. God bless.

The look of panic muddled in sheer horror marred the strawberry blond cat's face all throughout the ordeal following her little, "worst completely random incident in recent history" mishap, and though it certainly felt like it lasted an eternity played in slowmo, wasn't terribly longer than an eye's blink.
Still, survival instincts spurred her to at least take cover when bazookas started firing right in front of her, and when the dust started to clear, she was only just picking herself off the ground in time to see both Rodolf and Geoff demonstrate their unique methods of impaling/cute little animal liberation.
With a quivering lower lip, she surveyed the damage anxiously as the sirens drew nearer.
"We have to leave," urged the disheveled feline; she took an almost comical half-lunge in flight, only to stumble to an abrupt stop, looking back towards the hospital, plainly conflicted. "But... Tails is still in there!"

"Well, let's find him then!" grunted Geoff as he kicked away the carcass of the partially impaled robot, shaking off the crystal from his arm. The frustration was kicking in now, his eyes cross as he gave the feline a glance. He seemed prepared to continue on his statement with some harshness, but it truly wasn't time for accusations. Still, the image of having narrowly avoided gaining the physical condition a certain white monkey held for a few days straight stuck in his mind.
Without further ado, he whipped around and sprinted off into the hospital, muting out the alarm blaring in the halls. The hedgehog's annoyance with the growing trouble still showed, and a doctor-bot who wandered off into the hall before him in investigation of the racket managed to receive a face full of rocky fist when he foolishly stepped into Geoff's path.
Determination and irritation = a grouchy, green, spiked bulldozer.

Irritation and crystal was of no aid in navigating the labyrinthine confines of even a normal, modern hospital, and here, Geoff found himself in the most diabolical of medical facilities, designed by madman super-genius. Sure, there were signs, and sure, there was a numbering system, but just as in any hospital worth its salt, the numbers were inconsistent and did not seem to go in any immediately discernible order, and signage pointed in vague directions and was conspicuously absent from important corridor intersections. In other words, he had lost sight of Tails a little while back, and he was simply not going to find him again, especially not amid the clamor and chaos.
Sirens grew louder from outside. They had seconds to work with before conflict resumed. But... if nothing else, they had succeeded in making sure that conflict was landing in their lap, and not Tails'.

"Why do people keep running off today?" Rodolf hissed, his brow furrowing as he watched Geoff retreat into the hospital. He then looked at Tabitha, some vague inkling of a plan forming in his steel-hard head. Running inside would probably just lead the trouble further in-- and knowing the fantastic aim of Eggman robots, being anywhere in the general vicinity would probably lead to the hospital being blasted from a dozen directions.
"I suggest we divert the fire once their backup arrives," he said quickly to the cat, looking prepared to lunge into a run at any moment once Tabitha gave her response (preferably quickly). Impulsive as he was, he wasn't exactly going to run off through an Eggman-controlled city without some sort of backup.)

Tails proceeded down an increasingly complex series of hallways, each hall splitting at some point into another two or three hallways which were marked with increasingly detailed yet utterly uninformative signage. He had just passed a sign which read "EGG-VITA BIO-MATRIFACTORY / G-J SAMPLE STORAGE " and was wondering if he was even in the right dimension, let alone the right location, when two robots rushed across the intersection behind him and through a pair of automatic doors.
He turned around quickly. His makeshift helmet swivelled around his head, and continued on, slowly spinning until it ended up facing slightly behind him and to the left. He straightened it hastily, and looked through the door the robots had gone through.
Egg-vita Bla Bla Words.
He approached the doors which, to his surprise, opened.
The robots were further down the hallway, moving rapidly towards another intersection. They disappeared to the right.
Tails took off after them, eponymous tails rotoring behind him, helmet wobbling on his head like a steeple bell in an earthquake.
He turned into a room labelled "VITA-GEL EGGPRINTER".
The two robots turned and looked at him.
He stood in the doorway, confident in his disguise.
The alarm went off.

OOC: Misunderstood Kazz's post originally, so this post has been edirted
It couldn't have been more clear that plunging into an Eggman-populated rat maze with excitable, trigger-happy robots tromping around was not an entry on Tabitha's bucket list, especially not with the promise of more opposition (equally competent, equally zealous, and equally indifferent to collateral damage) on the way. In the second or two she deliberated, literally on her toes, the behorned equine's proposal came through her haze of mental klaxons, reminding her that, if nothing else, she was wasn't alone on her sinking ship.
While unable to muster a brave smile, the increasingly nervous cat managed a sort of ill grimace to accent her single silent nod, as she took a dry gulp. She stood her ground, however, took a deep breath, and turned toward the sound of the sirens, waiting for the arrival of more trouble.

A zoo of Eggman's robots burst in through the front doors. A cacophony of sound—sirens, breaking glass, bending metal, rushing rockets, clanking feet, and buzzing, electronic voices—filled the lobby all at once as the disorganized-looking band of Cop Speeders, Egg Pawns, Kikis, Buzz Bombers, and anything else that had been remotely nearby tore their way through.
... Aaand, they went right past Tabitha and Rodolf. They apparently didn't have either marked as targets yet. Rodolf's swift execution of the one Egg Pawn must have gone completely unseen by hostiles in the heat of the moment.
"GET SONIC—THIS WAY!"
They rolled like a wave down the hall in pursuit of... Geoff.
The flow of machines didn't seem to have an end. It looked like a mass, robotic group entity in magnitude and density somewhere between a mosh pit and a fast-moving parade was coming into the hospital after the unfortunate, mislabeled green hedgehog.
There were more than they could fight, to be frank. Even Tails soon found himself standing alone as the guards that had been sizing him up jerked to attention, promptly ran into one another in a concerted effort of clumsiness to fit through same door at the same time, and vanished from sight in hot pursuit.

The guard robots left a machine working in their wake. It whirred and made a faint, rhythmical chukking noise.
chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk
It stopped. Tails began to move to leave the room, when:
chukk
He turned and examined the machine closer. A massive, stainless steel box; it was absolutely featureless except for a clear glass window and a handleless drawer. Tails tilted up the front of his helmet and approached it, with carefully tempered interest.
chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk chukk VRRRRRT-click-bonk-VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRweoowr.
chukk chukk chukk
Tails peered into the glass window. He blanched. He cast about the room, utterly aghast, for some kind of display to tell him what on earth the machine was for. The machine chukked; it continued to chukk, unfazed by the fox’s disapproval.
Tails looked at the monitors around the room. The horrified expression disappeared from his face, replaced by one of wonder and then of mildly disgusted fascination. He peered back into the box, which chukked away, contentedly.
Eventually the chukking stopped. There was the sound of rushing liquid, then the drawer popped open.
Tails gingerly retrieved from the depths of the drawer a small rectangular plastic box, which sloshed with some kind of fluid. He looked at it in his hands and had the grace to look slightly worried with what the machine had entrusted him. There was blip noise, and a monitor lit up announcing which room he needed to go to, so he took it there.

Helplessly already losing a proper of idea where to go in the maze that was the hospital, Geoff found himself cursing his attempts on tracking down the two-tailed fox. He felt with every random turn he made, he was only managing to get farther and farther away from his intended goal. Sighing in frustration, he eventually came to a stop at yet another intersection, looking down each one with a defeated glance.
Yet he was finding that his attention was to be directed back the way he came when a hurried Egg Pawn turned the corner with the familiar clank clank clank of metal feet on the floor. It appeared to go ecstatic at the sight of him and promptly charged.
Already disgruntled by his lack of competent navigation of the hospital, Geoff was more than glad to return the charge. He sprinted forward effortlessly towards the incoming robot, preparing his arm in, once again, a layer of crystal. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right?
Then the cavalry erupted from the hall the Pawn came from, and with an expression that most clearly equaled "oh $%@&", the hedgehog was promptly turning on his heel and making the intelligent man's choice of retreating. He nearly could clearly feel the presence of the small army in pursuit of him now, and their nearness was only all the more apparent with the racket of their feet/wings/sirens and some very clear shouts of "SONIC".
Feeling it useless to bother explaining he was clearly the wrong color, Geoff only weaved his way through the halls as he attempted to lose them behind him, his eyes searching for some sort of emergency exit or other means of getting the hell out of there.

Safety being priority... fourteen, or fifteen, as it was, there were not many clearly marked emergency exits. It wouldn't take long for Geoff to find one, however, which let out into a cluttered, garbage-lined back alley. Hospital garbage? Yep. Ick.
Nothing was back there, so it was a pretty clear shot to freedom. Geoff would escape to fight another day. And be mistaken for Sonic another day. Whether or not he'd be able to immediately meet up with Tabitha and Rodolf was uncertain, as they were in the heart of the disaster, but at least they all had a common place to return to at the end of the day.
