Updates Sonic Spindash RP is closed.Founded 05/25/2002 by three friends; ended 09/19/2012.
It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.
Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.
I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.
I love you guys. God bless.
-M

Rodolf's mouth pulled into something that might have been construed as a half-smile (perhaps that was too generous-- a quarter-smile perhaps?) as he stepped forward, and then took and shook the cat's hand.
"Rodolf," he said (though under his breath was a quick "not Rudolph, seriously, do I look like a reindeer", not really meant to be heard). As he drew away, he continued, mostly to himself: "though I doubt anyone else fancies a meet and greet."
He cast a quick look around at the surroundings. "So, then, do we just put on our handy-dandy explorer hats and get looking?" he said, in his typical dry fashion.

Coop looked up at the sky.
"I'm going try flying up a bit," he addressed the cat and unicorn, and anyone else in ear-shot, "see if I can see some place to hide. Or, if it comes to the worst, if anyone's following us."
He took off, and, after gaining a bit of preliminary height—careful to avoid the feather-crisping thermals from the nearby lava, slowly began to circle upward.
He gained more height.
A little more.
Assuming he did not see the distant sky buzzing with Eggmancraft of all types, he slipped into a thermal, and began drifting upwards at a vastly increased rate, until he was just a grey smudge against the murky sunset sky overhead.

"That's a noble thing to do..." Ace answered, with no real traces of sarcasm, either. It seemed he had the serval's approval. He stood himself up and reached for the trusty t-shirt and jacket combo he'd discarded off to the side. He was only barely finished dressing himself when his 'doctor' introduced himself.
"Oh. Uh, Daniel," he said, hastily snapping his jacket down, and met Midian's hand with his own. "Daniel Crawford. E'ryone calls me Ace, though. Jus' don't call me Danny," he said with a small, if tired little grin, "'Cause I think that's reserved for my girlfriend."

The hedgehog watched attentively as Coop spiraled upward into the wild blue yonder, waiting for the moment for him to be detected by unseen enemies, allowing the eagle to be a beacon for their location. He was allowed to rest easy after a few seconds, realizing that there wouldn't be a barrage of rockets going after the high flying bird.
Returning his attention to the subject at hand, he gave a nod to Tabitha.
"Geoff Hawkins." Short and brief. No need for extravagant revelations.
With that done, he threw a glance Rodolph's way.
"No other way to do it, I suppose," he said in agreement as his eyes began to roam across the scattered people within the vicinity. "The challenge, I think, would be getting all of them moving again while still being discreet. Group this size just can't tip toe around a bunch of mountains... not with what the doc possibly sent for reinforcements coming soon." He gave an indifferent shrug, crossing his arms. "But, I can go with whatever. Just as long as we get settled before dark. If we manage to do that, we can discuss plans... or something along those lines."

Leon nodded to each person as introductions where made, trying to remember everyone. (He is bad with names the first time he hears them, and the distraction of the large bird taking off really didn't help the matter). After the people closest to him had given their names, Leon stepped forward.
"Name's Leon. Leon Arodneos." Leon cast a glance around everyone gathered around the clearing. "Seems splitting up might not be such a bad idea." Scratching behind his ear again, the lion said something seemingly out of character for someone just randomly wondering through the woods. "I wonder. Is there any thing like... 2 way radios on that ship? Might be good for us to have a way to contact each of the other groups. If we do split up, that is."
Leon glanced around, hoping anyone that was aboard the ship might know.

With a brief nod in turn to each new acquaintance, Tabitha's eyes left the group on the ground, and followed Coop into the air.
"The only problem is nightfall being so close," replied the cat, absently. "Obviously, if we do have to go out, it'd be best if we could find something like that, Leon, but at this point, I'm not sure it's the most preferable of our limited options."
She paused, thoughtfully, nodding to the eagle, and added, "I think our best hope right now is him; once we find a place to lay low, we can figure out where to go from there."

Introductions abound, but the two yellow-colored party members weren't really part of it, somewhat secluded from the rest of the group in their own little discussion. Midian had fleetingly started to glance back at the mention of some pertinent-sounding information, but turned his attention solidly on Ace when he introduced himself. "Pleased to make your acquaintance," he said simply. He watched the cat blankly for a moment, as if thinking something; he then came out with it, adding, "Perhaps we should find out what they've decided on," with a gesture toward the eagle soaring up above.
