It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

Tabitha stood with her jaw slightly agape, feeling increasingly uncomfortable standing in the middle of the sea of agitated testosterone/sci-fi convention. At a couple of points -- particularly ones where she had actually been addressed -- she began to speak, only to be cut off by more frustrated bickering between the bird, the unicorn and the hedgehog.

When it seemed like the floor was open to her again, speech came slowly, as she sifted through all the information hidden in the back and forth snipping.

"You're not far off," the cat told Coop. "It's... been... a good six weeks, I guess. I dunno anything about this space travel ARK wormhole stuff, but all I can tell you is, Sonic's gone. Fell off the face of the planet over a month ago, and once Eggman found out, it was... almost viral. He had South Island inside of a few hours; the world inside of a day -- Maybe two, tops."

The feline paused, sighing, and dragged a gloved hand through her bangs, and her head shook back and forth.

"People who aren't Sonic, you know, they just don't know how to deal with stuff like that. We were completely overwhelmed. Those who didn't comply or couldn't escape were imprisoned. We were blindsided -- There was just nothing significant we could do."

The runner's shoulders sagged slightly, and a troubled crease furrowed her brows, but as if touching a hot stove, she quickly perked up.

"But I mean, that was then," she continued emphatically, becoming progressively more fervent as she went on. "Obviously, we've had more time to see what's what, and there are still a fair bit of people like me and Mr. Asamenew," she inclined her head toward the jackal, "who're willing to fight the good fight. We're no Sonic, sure, but we cause trouble where we can."

The jackal, oblivious to the conversation mentioning him, was crouched next to a patient. The term "patient" is used here lightly, as Midian was no doctor. Of course, Ace didn't exactly need surgery so much as just someone to just patch him up, so it balanced out.

"Eina. Got you good, didn't he?"

The unfortunate crystal-stabbing victim had been rid of his jacket and had his messy Bolt Boar t-shirt pulled up to make room for some work. It wasn't the most pleasant experience; Midian complained about "strange debris," and eventually outright asked, "Why are you full of glitter?" while irrigating the wound with squirts of some kind of solution from a small sports bottle. It really wasn't any kind of horrible mess; Ace was a sturdy specimen. It still wasn't going to feel particularly good, though.

Wild Badge listened as the crew came to the realization that they did not miss 2 days, but 6 weeks. Which explained how Eggman had enough time to capture all of South Island. All this time travel business was confusing, even for a comic book nerd.

That being said, the idea that they had underwent timetravel, even in the most unintentional terms was kind of awesome. Hoji scratched the back of his head with a perplexed look on his face.

"So, it's been six months?" He asked, reiterating what Tabitha was saying. And in response to her talking about "Fighting the good fight", he couldn't help but smile.

"I knew it. You are rebels." He made a fist in front of him with an expression of determination, "Can I join? There's no better cause than undermining tyranny and vanquishing evil!"

He was all too excited about the prospect, when it would be far more normal just to be sympathetic about the situation or something.

"Er, six weeks, actually," corrected the cat, who couldn't avoid grinning at the raccoon's infectious enthusiasm. Really, she was precisely the malleable sort to find herself completely stirred up by it, and had to fight the urge to leap into the air with a fist pump, and hold his induction ceremony right then and there, but a rather crucial snag tripped her up.

"Join?" she repeated dimly with a flutter of her eyelashes that stopped abruptly upon understanding. "Oh. Er..."

With an understated scratch behind her large ear, she glanced uncertainly at the canine, chewing her lips as she began to fidget awkwardly.

"I... think I may have given the false impression of like... organization. We're not like, official, or anything. Not to say you can't help, but it's kind of hard to assemble with things the way they are. We're not a group, per se; I have a few contacts that I can look to for help, supplies, information, and what have you, but...nothing... I mean, maybe we can start one!"

Ace had a difficult time meditating with his usually be-shirted torso exposed to the somewhat chilly mountain air, but he seemed to be doing what he could while he let Dr. Jackal do his work. His tall ears were almost completely tuned to the group chat at large, picking up details here and there. And while on the outside, he seemed completely removed, there was a visible twitch in his ear when the other feline of the bunch mentioned "six weeks". After that, he opened his eyes, and blinked, watching Midian tend to his wounds. The jackal's question was answered with a long lasting sigh that was just as much in as it was out. "Dude," he said with a jaded, rusty monotone in his voice. "You would not believe the day I've had."

Ace perched himself atop the remains of a toppled pillar for the occasion, gently rapping his fingers on the sides in succession. The squirts of solution made him draw a sharp breath from his nose, and his body stiffened-- including the fingers (which were now digging into the marble)-- but aside from that, it was a total poker face.

He let a few more seconds of silence linger before talking again. "'Ppreciate this, by the way," he spoke softly. "Guess the people out here need more field medics than hospitals now, huh."

If Ace thought the liquid stung, the swabbing, nudging, and poking around that followed dwarfed it infinitely. But, the medic was just being thorough and avoiding mistakes; better out than in, after all.

"It'is nothing," the jackal dismissed. Soon, he had an odd canister out, which he used to fill the wound with a vivid, cyan foam, pleasantly numbing to the touch. Ace might have recognized it as being a product very similar to what Tau had supplied Rock with a couple days ago. The medic wiped away the excess then quickly wrapped Ace's waist in gauze and tape it off. (No big adhesive bandages here—can you imagine how those would hurt coming off of a furred-up torso like that?)

"A nice change to treat somet'ing without tranquilizing it first," he admitted as he cleaned his hands and put away his supplies. Perhaps it was best that this was said after he finished. Combined with the shoulder patch of his beige shirt, which read "Mazuri Wildlife Conservation Authority" around a green tree logo, it became clear that maybe sapient people weren't what he actually tended to most often.

As he watch the exchange between the unicorn, cat, hedgehog and bird, Leon couldn't help but catch the jest of the conversation.

"So, you guys somehow got thrown into the 'future' while you were up in space? Well, that explains why you don't know about the fat man taking over."

Leon slowly stood up and stretched his legs. "Maybe if I hang around you guys, I might get a chance to find the people I'm looking for."

The lion leveled his head at the big bird, assuming, as did the jackal, that he was the leader of this group from "beyond the stars".

"So, the big question is, what are we going to do now?"

Geoff was not at all surprised by Hoji's enthusiastic approval of joining a resistance group, a ghost of a grin may appearing on his lips as he threw the raccoon a glance. His attention was soon once again on Tabitha, though, considering her explanation and offer. No Sonic, the whole world under control, and six weeks had passed... he could almost think they were fortunate, having been absent through all that.

"A dozen versus the world... seems a bit outside our favor."

Despite the negativity, his tone was still thoughtful, even throwing a glance to the lion that was a stranger to him.

"Well, that's probably the thing. There's not much else we can do. From the sounds of it, we can't go anywhere or do anything. Chances are we're already being searched for out here, and he's probably got eyes everywhere." He sighed, questioning both the felines. "You guys should probably know; Is there anything we really could do?"

Aga rolled his eyes once Leon was finished talking. "They didn't time travel. It was the time dilation effect," he said in the most know-it-all tone of voice possible.

The axolotl then turned his attention over to the rest of the group as the lion did. Primarily because he felt he needed to add his Valuable Opinion to the discussion, but also because there was no point in talking without an larger audience to hear. "The odds are against us. In fact, I would go so far as to say that an attempted rebellion is a foolish endeavor that will get us all captured or worse. But."

He hopped off his seat and moved towards the others. "I'm not going to let some selfish maniac ruin the world we live in any longer, so I suppose I'm in with whatever you lot decide to do."

"Well first things first," Coop rumbled, staring at the sky, "What time is it. What time's the sun go down?"

"We gotta either hide here or find a place to stay quickly. I'm not hiking through these stupid mountains in the dark. Look at them."

He pointed at the Marble mountain range, a jagged, shatter-toothed mess of black rock which broke the island's natural sandstone. The range had been forced up out of South Island's surface in the distant millennia past and been expanded upon ever since via relentless volcanic activity.

"Depending on where we are, the closest places to hike to are either Spring City or," he snorted, "yellow desert. What's left of it."

"Oh, or Pumpkin hill, but hands up everyone who wants to stay there for the night, right? Anyway, that's assuming we can get to any of these places in time."

Sure enough, Midian groping around his wounds provoked a few grunts and groans out of the serval, not to mention a twitching eyebrow. Ace being so quiet on the matter wasn't a terribly common thing; it was possible Ace was simply forcing himself to be quiet for politeness' sake (and not subsequently hurting his chance of getting healed up again. He was probably going to need it in the future). Another deep breath and a palm on his stomach accompanied the finishing touches of gauze.

His almost sleepy expression suddenly both flattened and tensed at the same time come the jackal's last words, but he shook it off before Midian turned back around. All the same, his shoulder patch caught his attention.

"Mazuri? You're a long way from home. Whaddya doin' all the way out here?"

The medic paused and raised his brows—not enthusiastically, but with half-lidded eyes, as if trying to think of a good way to phrase his simple answer. He settled on, "D'only thing I can do," and shrugged. "There is no difference I can make there anymore. This place—this is where everything happens that matters. So,... this is where I am."

He finished pulling his leather gloves back on, then extended a hand toward the serval.

"Midian Asamenew."

"Everyone can do something," insisted the cat earnestly, in response to the hedgehog, before turning to address the eagle. "And unfortunately, we don't have much time left at all today. I'd wager we've got maybe a few minutes more before twilight, and our familiarity with the region is largely superficial; I wouldn't even begin to know where we can hide all of us..."

Tabitha pursed her lips thoughtfully for a moment, as her gaze roved about in consideration. "I suppose right now our biggest liability is the sheer size of us..."

She cast a hopeful glance to Midian, uncertain as to whether or not he'd been listening to their conversation, but added a little more loudly, "Maybe if we split off into smaller teams to look for a suitable campground?"

The unicorn, who had fallen fairly-characteristically silent since his remark to the hedgehog, had merely listened to the conversation around him; eventually, he regarded the sand cat's suggestion.

Rodolf shrugged. "Possibly wise." However, he added after a moment's pause: "Though one can only hope that we don't get attacked, if we do split up." Always the optimist, this one. He brushed a bit of hair out of his eyes, and looked around at the small assembly... and then something struck him. He looked at Tabitha:
"Not to change the subject, but I don't believe any of us caught your name."

Already considering the implications of Rodolph's comment, the sand cat was visibly taken aback when the subject shifted so suddenly; her eyelids fluttered over a sheepish grin for a few repetitions, as the tips of both sets of fingers perched delicately over her mouth.

"Oh, gosh, how rude," she blurted apologetically, before extending a hand. "I'm Tabby -- Er, Tabitha, really, but whatever's easier, you know."
