It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.
Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.
I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.
I love you guys. God bless.

Hoji had just about exited the vehicle as well, stopped by the sudden flurry of gunfire, which caused him to hesitate as he peered outside through a window.
Mere seconds followed before someone shouted, and there was an explosion of fire spread across radius surrounded by robots. He wasn't one to miss an opportunity, though. He reached into his coat and pulled out a remote.
With the cargo doors sufficiently gone, the cargo had enough leeway to force it's way out. The space-flight equipped fighter jet blasted through the doors, right into the annoyed, burning group of robots before pulling up and over the clearing and the canopy of trees.
"I don't know what's going on, but it's pretty convenient..." He said, looking at the others.

Ace had moved for the nearest exit as well, but he was too busy being strangulated. So when Coop suddenly saw fit to release him, he wasted no time stumbling his way to whatever side of the room was farthest from him. It wasn't terribly far, though. Still close enough for the eagle to hear a spiteful choke of "Dumbass" in between a short series of coughs.
So now they had a new threat to take care of, but... it almost seemed to be taken care of already. For once, it seemed like he wasn't the only one capable of blowing crap up, and their combined efforts were likely doing more damage than any strike from his cards would. Not to mention he was hardly in any condition to do a whole lot of fighting in the first place. The serval turned his head in the direction of the cargo door, and crawled his way behind any cover available for the closest view that wouldn't mean getting turned into swiss cheese.
"Okay," he panted. "That'll work."

The oxygen containers didn't have to cook for long before they burst. Oxygen was not flammable, but, if the name wasn't enough of a hint, it was an oxidant—exactly what other things needed to burn faster, hotter, and better. As soon as the canisters ruptured, there was a white-hot flash-fire that zapped across a big portion of the field, leaving little but scorched earth, glowing embers, and a mess of crookedly-perched slag, like some kind of weird modern art taking the place where robots once stood.
The fire continued to rollick elsewhere across the grass, albeit with less intensity. It was no longer a factor in the fight, but the damage had been done to quite a few robots, and even Murdoch, nearer to the front of the ship, would have likely felt the blast of hot air.
Speaking of Murdoch, he was indeed quite devastating in his face-punching endeavors, or would have been if any faces had been in reach. Egg Gunners were quite tall, and he was quite not. He did manage to really clock a few knees, though, busting legs out from under his disoriented would-be attackers. (And, guess what's becomes accessible when you bust something's legs? Its face! It was like Christmas.)
With that said, the number of active attackers dwindled down from somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 to just over 10 in no-time flat. Those that remained (i.e. those that had not been led astray by the decoy, scorched, slagged, smashed, or otherwise blown up) were on the other side of the Nocturnus ship. They soon lit up their thrusters and flew around toward where they saw Murdoch, though. Being the only one with his feet on terra firma they had yet noticed, they went straight for him, landed nearby, and lined up their sights for a full-power firing squad treatment.
And, what of their mystery helpers?
Somewhere not far away, a large number of jet-propelled robots were chasing a very fast cat into a very dense forest—a forest that had a twenty-five-foot wide section of trees strung with thin but extremely durable fiber cord. It was like a tripwire, clothesline, and spiderweb all in one, and for those pursuers who happened to get snagged on their way through, it didn't end well. Some spun out of control, into trees, others very nearly snapped entire limbs (both their own and those belonging to the trees holding the wire) before flipping to the ground in a warped mess, and others simply ran into others who were crashing unpredictably.
In short, things were going pretty well, for the time being. There was just one oddity: Some of the fallen, disabled robots (both near the ships and away) pulsed a single, slow-blinking yellow strobe light and sharp-pitched beep.

It seemed that Murdoch was doing surprisingly well. He was yelling insults at the robots (possibly unaware that insulting robots is completely useless) as he smashed up some robo-shins (followed by robo-faces).
... until the reinforcements from the other side of the ships turned up. His little angry eyes narrowed... until he realized they were aiming at him. (He had experienced head trauma and was probably still half-drunk, give him a break. Or don't.) Then his eyes went significantly wider, and he took off at a run back towards the ship. Or, as close to a run as he could get with his stubbly little legs and intoxicated swagger, and he yelled at said vehicle:
"GIMME A HAND HERE, ^&@HOLES!"
Rodolf cast a quick look down to the ground from his position still in the ship; he had given a low whistle with Badge's course of action, and then the little angry man's words drifted up.
"... any volunteers?" he said flatly, not turning to look at anyone else. If nobody else stepped up, sure, he might go and help... ... but he wasn't exactly fond of Murdoch, by any stretch of the imagination, and was in no hurry to get involved if he didn't have to. Yes, the old 'only if I have to' method.

An ash-grey blur rushed out of the melted hold of the ship. Trailing heavy black synthetics-smoke like some kind of deranged mountain demigod, Coop flew in a low, tight curve around the ship and turned a wings-spread-out flight into a horizontal flying elbow. He crashed into the first of the robots, tumbling it into the two immediately next up the line, and dropped to the ground as his lift vanished.
His right arm numbed by the impact, Coop gripped the canister by its nozzle and swung it out in a backhand arc at a robot's midriff. It hit the robot with an ear-ringing TWONG, warping the spindly internal workings that were exposed in the robot's fold-out design.
As the robots' attention directly and immediately transferred to him, he over-hand-swung the cylinder at the nearest robot's head, driving the delicate electronics package back into the torso armour.
He grabbed the now senseless robot and used it for split-second cover as he recharged for the next assault.

Not far behind Coop, Hoji leaped into the fight. In a flash of light, he was in his masked form, clenching a glowing fist as he closed in on a robot and jumped as he swung a powerful energy-infused uppercut at the face of one of the egg robots hoping to knock it's head right off it's shoulders.
Upon landing, regardless of whether or not he managed to behead the robot, he jumped again, this time throwing both feet into it's chest(A move that he may have picked up from Tank), his feet engulfed in chaos energy, enough to rocket the robot backwards into a few of it's buddies, hopefully.
The attack ended with him landing on his side.

Being where he was, crouched behind the bushes by the tree line, Leon (which was the black lion's name) didn't have any more happen to him then a blast of heat from the fire balls. After he blinked his eyes clear, he saw a strange green guy on the ground pommeling bots left and right, and a big grey bird attacking a few of the remaining bots. Leon thought that this might be a good time to help, even if the number of the bots had dropped significantly in just a few short seconds.
Grabbing a tree limb almost as tall and wide as him, Leon charged the nearest bot to him, swinging the makeshift club low, taking his que from the green guy who seemed to be having success with that. If he managed to knock any to the ground, he would bring his club down on its head, hopefully smashing it.

Resourceful though the jackal had been in stretching what he had to the greatest effect, the cord knew not ally from foe, and the cat that spearheaded the charging wave of prey for the trap would need impeccable reaction time, keen eyesight, and gymnast-like agility to avoid merely being the first in a multi-car pile up. It so happened that where she lacked strategy, she possessed all of the former in spades.
At the last possible second, she sprung forward, leaping through a narrow passage amid the tangle of cord. Landing in a brisk roll that flowed perfectly with her existing momentum, the swift-footed feline broke the roll seamlessly, vaulting over a dense growth of shrubbery, then kicking off a tree trunk, swinging from a branch, and sliding under another... In a dizzying haze of confusing maneuverability, she was quickly gone.

They were actually making pretty short work of the robots. They weren't completely helpless, of course, but they weren't the fastest at target acquisition or ground maneuvering, so for the most part, the fast, close-range opponents easily did damage. Nonetheless, there were still enough of them to take reasonably accurate potshots at Coop, the biggest and most obvious target, but it was nothing the bird of burl wouldn't be able to shake off.
... And just like that, the field was silent except for the crackling fires and staggered chorus of beeps. Jet engines could still be heard through the woods, chasing whoever it was that had shown up as backup, but they were distant. Survivors began to exit the heavily-damaged Lagrange, perhaps sensing that it wouldn't be moving to hiding anytime soon. The Nocturnus ship still looked ready to fly, though, so not many were clamoring to escape it just yet.
The looming questions surely on all their minds: Why the beeping and flashing, and what now?

Murdoch's lip curled into a sort of self-satisfied expression, as he folded his arms. A smug expression graced his ever-sympathetic features. "Yeah, tha'ss right, 'ya metal motha*%$#as!!" he jeered, bragging to whomever would listen... and those who wouldn't. Anyone, really. He turned to return to the ship, stumbled almightily, and then... ... saw the damage to the ship. He gave it a blank look. He stared for a moment.
And he promptly resumed yelling swear-word-laden things, mostly about how awesome he was. "Fightin' with a damned concussion, man, I'm *%$#in' hardcore!"
Rodolf found it hard to resist the urge to exit dramatically; given a moment he jumped straight out of the ship from his high vantage point, as Murdoch had done on his exit. Falling to the earth, he landed with a thud and quickly got to his feet. The unicorn cast a look around himself; other passengers exiting the ship, the Tasmanian devil resuming his audience-devoid bragging, the fires still popping and burning gradually down, the direction that the robots had chased the cat (though he had no way to know her species or identity, it had been hard to miss the robots' reaction to her). He cast a look to the Nocturnus ship, and when he looked back in front of him, then (and only then) did the lights on, and the beeping of, the fallen robots catch his attention.
He frowned; he was not a robotics man, but regardless, he suspected nothing good. The unicorn crept closer to the one that lay nearest to where he had jumped down.

"Wow."
Aga found himself looking on with awe at the battle in the clearing below. Sure, he was used to danger and had busted up his own fair share of robots in his time, but this? This was something different. Whoever these guys were, they were fighters, and a brawl on this scale was still a little beyond him.
Not that he would admit it.
After hopping down onto a lower branch, Aga leaped into the clearing, throwing his hands up in the international sign of I'm Not A Robot Please Don't Hurt Me. "Hello! Don't worry, I'm on your side." He said while inching further into view. "There are others too. They were chased further into the woods. They might need a hand...or they might not." He shrugged. The whole fire thing was still very impressive.

"She will be jus' fine."
The dingy-yellow jackal emerged from a pillared structure not far from Aga. At some point in the scuffle, he had apparently returned and weaved his way around the fight. He looked unharmed, though he wore a grave expression and spoke with urgency as he strode toward them. "It's you who will need help if you do not get out of here soon." He stopped not far from Rodolf, who seemed to be examining one of the robots, and added simply, "Distress beacons."

With the situation finally under control(with the exception of possibly a forest fire in the works), Wild Badge looked toward their unknown allies. Well, as far as he could tell they were allies.
And as the Jackal explained what the beeping was, he stiffened, not wanting to encounter more robots so soon. He approached the Jackal.
"I don't want to seem unappreciative of your assist, but we need to get moving." He said before looking at the others. Not...entirely sure where they need to be moving to at this point, but here was not a good place if more of those robots showed up.
"I uh...don't suppose you have any suggestions." He asked. It was easy to assume their unexpected help was from around here, or passing by to or from some place that's generally safe for anti-eggman folks. Maybe even a rag-tag group of rebels trying to put a knot in Eggman's proceedings wherever they could.
Yeah, Hoji had quite the imagination, fueled by comic books and cartoons.

It was only when the Eggbots numbers had significantly dwindled (Yeah, he was in no condition to get into a big burly brawl thanks to the events of last night) that Ace even considered getting throwing himself into the fight. But when he did, he did in spades. And diamonds, and hearts, and clubs. Danny bounced his way down the 'garage door' with a(n appropriately injured looking) series of short hops, flinging his makeshift weapons with a vengeance at whatever mechanations still disgraced his presence with their existence. It seemed like the last numbers of them were finally dying off.
He made his way to the center, where the others seemed to be gathering, (crushing one yellow beeping robot-face under his heel as he did) just in time to hear the jackal give them, what else-- more bad news. He lurched out a pained mix between a groan and a sigh, and glanced over his shoulder at the mess of yellow beeping robot-faces. "'Z'it too late to just break 'em all?" he asked, turning back to their mysterious benefactor.

"Much too late," confirmed the jackal without looking at Ace. When he happened to glance back, though, his brows lowered, and his eyes locked onto his big, ugly stomach wound and stained T-shirt. He took a couple tentative steps toward him, and kind of leered a the injury, but did not approach or tamper.
"... You need to get someplace you can be tended to, bru," he mumbled distractedly, glancing between the wound and its owner's face, looking for signs of wooziness or instability from the apparent blood loss. Unfortunately, surely to Badge's disdain (as he had just been the one to ask prior), the jackal had no place to suggest. "We haven't really got anywhere to hide so many," he admitted, "but we must move somewhere, with or without your ships."
At that very moment, there was a deep, earthy krunk, and a feeling beneath everyone's feet as though someone had lightly rapped each of their shoesoles with a hammer. The ground then began to tilt, and the grass really caught fire as the whole Lagrange began to slide and sink into newly exposed lava. Apparently, it had landed on thinner ground than they had initially thought.
Their unknown helper swayed precariously at first, but then darted up the incline and made a hop across a newly exposed chasm (which seemed to go down into some lava-filled cave they definitely wouldn't want to explore), to more stable ground on the other side.
"Okay—so you willnot be taking that one."
"Hoooooly craaaaaaap what's even— LAVA, REALLY?!" shouted the distant voice of a familiar bat evacuating high above.
"This trip! ... man!"
