Updates Sonic Spindash RP is closed.Founded 05/25/2002 by three friends; ended 09/19/2012.
It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.
Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.
I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.
I love you guys. God bless.

Changed, to make it more fun:
CHARACTER THEME ROULETTE:
Here's how the game works.
1. Put your mp3 player, i-tunes, or whatever on shuffle.
2. Play through up to three songs.
3. Pick one of the songs your player spat out, and write a short character idea based on that song. Just use the song as inspiration, or a blueprint, and see what comes out. ____________________
This is just something to do out of boredom. Give it a shot if you feel like it!

Not a bad idea for a little time waster, but I know a lot of us have pretty diverse musical tastes and might not be inspired by the same stuff.
Maybe this would better function just as an invitation for people to scratch up ideas from their own songs, or somethin'. Though, that would kill some of the interactive flair of it. Heck, I dunno. Just a thought.

Alright, I got... this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahBU4Py5cPgTerry S. Taylor - Operator Plays a Little Ping Pong ....uuuhhhh.... *cough*So there's this brilliant master surgeon, right? And every operation he performs is always a major success, but he can only concentrate if one of his arms is busy playing a game of table tennis during the surgery. And they have to keep up with him, because if he scores on them, then his arm isn't busied and he can't think straight, and... and the patient DIES. So he holds a tournament. A ping pong tournament. To see... who is worthy of being his partner. With a million dollar first prize. ...There, I did it. Happy?

I think that may be one of the worst things I've ever heard.

I was stuck with nothing to do, and with no laptop, meaning no access to my 100-question monster. Sooo, I finally got around to doing a few of these. the "*" stands for the name of the character, which I didn't bother figuring out. I just jotted down a few word to describe the character while listening to the songs, and went back and typed up a quick paragraph describing them. Check it. Gorillaz - 19-2000 (Soul-Child Remix)
1. Tired of living life in the fast lane, * instead prefers to kick back and take in the world as it comes to him. Street-wise and suave, * would be a real lady-killer if he wasn’t so incredibly lazy and unmotivated. The simple life of rest and relaxation suits his taste just fine, and most are hard pressed to convince * that leaving the comforts of his home or small town would really be worth anything significant. Cocky, brazen, and blunt to a fault, * still manages to find a niche with his band of like-minded individuals, living off tips and small payments from local gigs. He shares an apartment with his band-mates. Perhaps his greatest motivation for actually doing anything is to scrape together the funds to pay the rent every now and again. Not exactly the most reliable guy. Every Avenue – Days of the Old
2. The king of lost causes and missed opportunities, * has a real complex about the direction of his life. Constantly indecisive, * has trouble with decision-making, leaving him in the dust while his friends move on with their lives. Now he stands at the crux of a life change and final choice to make: wallow in his indecisiveness, or learn to pick a path and stick with it. That said, he’s a great friend for those who need a someone to lean on, or a shoulder to cry on. A definite worrier, * thinks constantly about his family, friends, and anyone else he begins to care about. He stands as the single tether binding his group of friends, anchored continuously in the past, trying to find the happy medium between living his current life and recovering the life in his memories. Genuine, needy, and more that a little lost in the great tide of time, * grasps at both direction and independence, wondering deep down if he ever really wants either.Dave Matthews Band – Lying In the Hands of God
3. * has seen a lot of hardship in his years, and, and has allowed the pain to educate him on the inner workings of life and the world. As such, many see him as wise, and seek out his advice when life hands the cards they’re not quite ready to play. Though stoic, * is actually quite the caring individual, becoming invested in those with genuine problems who seek out his help. Despite the illusion of complete and total security and satisfaction with himself that he gives off, * still nurses old wounds, seeking out something – or someone – to teach the teacher how to let go. He has secretly been fawning over one of his repeated visitors. Daylight Robbery – Imogen Heap
4. * is a veritable girl-about-town, constantly doing something at all time. Despite all efforts, the girl just can’t seem to sit still for any sizeable amount of time. Instead, * prefers to take in the night life and entertainment scene of Starlight City, constantly meeting new people along the way. With her bubbly personality, confident attitude and creative mind, * has developed a huge circle of influence, with friends of every shape, size, color and position. Constantly on the go and easily distracted, she is missed by her family, who only catches occasional glimpses of the girl they once spent so much time with. However, her constant movement and schmoozing has made her more influential than even she knows. She’s truly the girl to see if you want something to get done.

Southy the Eagle [21]( The Ladies In Town Know My Name - Strong Bad) Powder-blue eagle. Wears a wife-beater and a belt (with a gold, star-shaped buckle) and not much else. Overly confident, overly swaggery, overly high-opinioned of his good looks, this guy is an eagle. Oh baby, yeah, he's an eagle. He is so pumped about how suave he is, he doesn't even notice that no-one else thinks so. He's reasonably intelligent outside of this pitfall, and he is not devoid of emotion or feeling for his fellow man, but in the end he really just cares about being loved by the ladies. He will probably never get a lady, because none of the ladies who get to know him can stand him. This does not bother him, because just so long as ladies are ogling his tremendous physique from a distant*, he doesn't care if he ever gets a girl. He is incredibly strong and has the constitution of a bull. His power is strength and flight; he is likely to be a hero just to be impressive. He likes motorcycles, except he's too big to ride them and he's the wrong shape, so he has built a custom one.Keys the Cat [17] ( Dustland Fairytale - The Killers) A grey gat. Wears nondescript and fairly bland clothing. Usually denim and something. Unlucky in life and love, Keys the cat has, from an optimistic P.Y.T. breezing around the decaying lower suburbs of Starlight City, turned into to a jaded, almost totally shattered creature. Unsuccessful at home, and victim to too many bad relationships to trust in outside sources, she has turned her lack of taste for life into a quest to chase away the shadows. She fights crime, but only as an unconscious alternative to suicide; at some level beyond her reasoning, she hopes to die doing what she does, so she takes every opportunity to be the most heroic dare-devil she can be. She's extremely fast and agile and can use her tail as a weapon; she can climb anything, in theory she has trained in martial arts or something, or at least she's incredibly good at combat, but the person who plays her would have to have this knowledge because I DON'T. She tends to lock up her emotions under a facade of slightly prickly friendliness. She watches TV to fall asleep, almost continually. She lives in a hideous, beaten down apartment, which she keeps spotlessly clean and well-repaired. She has a part-time job. She is scrupulously healthy.Slammer the Bluejay [28] ( Beat Me Daddy Eight To The Bar - The Andrews Sisters) A Blue Jay (haha). Wears some kind of… ganster get-up. He has a walking cane. He's a smooth criminal. He's incredibly mellow and incredibly slick and incredibly stylish and he probably leads some group of no-name heisters who perpetually knock off private collections and smuggle old treasures and artifacts out of the country—no-one's had much luck connecting him with this, however. He probably runs a counterfeiting ring, too, because wherever he goes, fake money starts appearing—no-one has ever been able to successfully accuse him of this, either. He is known to load anything with any drug of any sort: hypnotic drugs, tranquillizers, poisons; physically taking anything from him is a risky business. He can fly and he is a terrific piano player, and his sense of accuracy and timing means he can crack about any lock you would care to mention. He is a bit of an anal-retentive stickler, which means his plans probably go off great—that is, if he really is a gangster, and not just a easy-going high-roller with a taste for ragtime, martinis and clean jazz.Lulu the Panther [12] ( Panther Dash - The Go! Team) Dark purple panther. Right arm covered in plastic ring bracelets. Some kind of punk geddup. Something hyper, something crazy, something a little too hopped up on sugar and rock and roll, this little girl has an extreme gear, extreme tastes, and an impression to make. Being the middle child in an indifferent and stuffy middle-class family has left her with a deep, eating desire to be special and an even deeper resentment of authority. Shirking everything it's within her power to shirk, she races around, attitudinal, too intelligent for her age and too resentful of being left-out of everything her restrained family has told her she cannot do. She is so bullet-headed about doing what people don't want her to that sometimes even the most elementary reverse psychology can work on her. She is deathly accurate with a frisbee, and dreams of buying illegal chakrams on Westside island.A distant anything: limo, hot-tub, barstool, whatever.
