It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

"Warning," cawed the electronic announcer, "pile output insufficient to maintain environmental stability."

There was a deep, sucking thrum, and the world shifted gently as the area's central gravity shut off, leaving behind only the planetary gravity of the green capsule, and the various other experimental debris that were equipped to generate their own gravitational pull.

"Emergency systems engaged."

Anyone who stayed on the surface of the planet would stick to it, but anyone who jumped away would find themselves free-floating.

While the others spoke, Rock took the canister from the drone's magnetic grip. Unwilling yet to remove his helmet, he applied the substance himself as best he was able through the holes in his suit, then returned the can.

He collected and stowed his belongings and rose to a full stand with a will that was stronger than his legs. His feet stumbled, but his posture stayed as rigid as his strained musculature would allow. A clumping, lightly-fizzing blue coagulant rendered most of the exposed portions of his face obscured, but he somehow managed to look more hacked off than before. Perhaps it was the stinging of the treatment just making him grimace. Regardless, there was no doubt that he probably wouldn't have been upright if not for the reduced gravity, which mercifully had just faltered and became even weaker.

When Badge and Coop addressed him, he just shook his head, waved off their offers, and went shambling away toward the end of the capsule-shaped planetoid. Once there, and once the ship came into view, he crouched, drew a breath, leaped free from the bizarre little green landmass once and for all, and drifted slowly and wordlessly toward their extraction point.

(OOC: This keyboard kinda sucks, and the PS3 browser has no spellcheck. Admins and mods, you have my express permission to deal with any typos you find.)

For once, Ace was left almost entirely speechless in the wake of the level of damage his partner had taken. Rock the monkey had just eaten missiles, and the serval watched him pick himself up, but it was obvious the act was done without any semblance of ease. Either Ace didn't want to freak him out with the wrong set of words, or Ace simply didn't want anyone to see himself freak out, but the only thing the people on his radio channel would hear was a shaky sort of "Dude..."

He tried looking at something else. The first thing he saw was the attacker, Tracer-- the one he'd been the most suspicious of, of course-- drifted off into the blissful ignorance of unconsciousness, with his own crew apparently adopting themselves as her personal caretakers. He Tch'd in irritation-- he saw no reason why they couldn't simply toss her into the recesses of space and be done with it, but whatever. Astrid was the one handing out the paychecks, after all... as if they were even part of the picture, anymore. By then, Rock was shuffling off, and Ace begrudgingly followed, looking back. "Hawkins, huh," he mumbled ambiguously.

The second thing he saw was his home planet, which was a comforting thing to see. Or at least, it would have been, if it didn't look so... unlike home. Even with his limited experience in space travel, something seemed a little off. Unless he was looking at the wrong continent in the wrong light, shouldn't it have been more... blue?

He stopped walking.

"Hey, guys?" he broadcasted, speaking in more than a murmur for the first time in a while. "What's up with planet Earth?"

Other discussion may well not have existed to Jam, considering the way she suddenly orbited Rock, making constant, minute adjustments to her posturing in direct result of his. Her body language very clearly desired to help, or be useful in some way, but simultaneously, that she couldn't. Frustrated didn't begin to describe her. She winced and groaned empathetically, every time she noticed some new mar, burn, or wound, but ultimately paid little attention to anything but the other monkey, and was, as could only be expected, right behind him as he made his painful-looking leap to refuge.

Tau wasn't interested in replying to the unknown radio contact, and as per usual, he didn't have anything to add to the either of the ensuing conversations, instead choosing to silently listen to them. Upon return of the canister, the drone darted back towards Tau's location and, once within range, jettisoned it for Tau to catch and return to storage. As Tau returned the canister, the drone quietly attached itself to its docking port on Tau's back, but remained on standby for possible further use.

Finished with what little assistance he was capable of providing at this time, Tau would head towards the shuttle's location while remaining close enough to Astrid (presuming she followed, if she didn't he'd simply follow her when she did move) to continue providing protection to the non-combatant.

As everyone began to remove themselves from the gravitational pull of the planetoid, he walked back to Tracer and positioned himself to pick her up, wincing with effort as he picked her up. ...But much to his surprise, she was lighter than she looked!

Oh, right. Lower gravity.

He then launched himself toward the extraction point as well... It was only when Ace spoke up about the Earth that a startling realization hit him.

"...That doesn't look like Earth."

Soon enough, the now frazzled (more for some than others) group was packed back into their shuttle, its new destination set for the space colony looming above. Its face was illuminated by the light reflected off the foreign planet below, and it looked like its typical exterior.

Eventually, an open hangar was found among the vastness of the ARK's face, and they quickly approached it. Fortunately for the rookie space-adventurers, the ship fit inside the opening available, the hangar appearing large enough to hold several shuttles if needed. The interior of the hangar itself was dimly lit, flashing red emergency lights providing the only sort of illumination within it. No other lights flickered or shined, only the continuous red.

They were not the only people attempting to use the access point into the ARK. A multitude of others were entering, a majority of them riding on a variety of EX Gear, and even a few more shuttles were slipping in. It appeared the entirety of whomever had been in the nearby vicinity concerning the grand space race was migrating to this one hangar. Most of the ships there showed the official logo of the race, representing the vehicles that were carrying officials or even bystanders who came to watch.

Eventually, a few figures appeared within what could be taken as the control room, shutting the hangar tight and letting a wave of oxygen fill the expansive room. Immediately, people began to file out of the hangar and farther into the ARK, a few people having appeared at the main doors, motioning for the newcomers. Gear, spacesuits, and ships alike were being left behind in the hangar, no one giving the logo-lacking shuttle a second glance.

At least, despite the pulsing red of the lights, the colony did not appear to have lost all function. It was a mystery to what was truly wrong, or what had even caused it.

Rock glowered at nothing in particular as the ship's bay buzzed open with a long, slow whine not unlike a circular saw. His injuries had been dressed with a sling on his left arm, a bandage taped on his chest, gauze around his upper arm (which had already turned to a bloody mess, as it still wasn't done being gross), and a general mummification of the top of his head, wrapped all the way around, and covering his left ear (which didn't seem to be... there anymore, at all) and part of his left eye. He still had that bizarre, glazed over look in his eyes, too. His charred jacket and uncomfortable under-biosuit had been removed, leaving just his tattered pants, gloves, boots, and dogtags. (His boots were the only things that looked unscathed. Whatever they were made out of, he needed more of it, and all over himself.)

"If any part of ARK is able to operate and accept refugees, GUN has to be here," he suddenly explained aloud, elucidating on his until-then-silent thoughts a bit, his tone quiet and mostly directed at his own immediate group. "Question is: does the race have everybody in enough disarray to not know who's who or what happened, or do they already know about our role in all this?"

He scanned around for any signs of soldiers with guns (or any too-close ears), before taking his first slow steps down the ramp.

"And if they do,... does our 'employer'," he said (emphasis made with mild disdain), "have an alibi?" He shot a glance back to see if Astrid was even going to brave exiting the ship with them this time.

Tau wasn’t fond of the shuttle and had no desire to remain within the craft any longer then need be and had begun to make his own departure from it shortly after Rock had begun take his leave of the craft. He wasn't any more informed then the rest about the current situation, but responded to the simians first question.

"I will... ‘Look into’ your inquiries," he addressed Rock in a low voice. "Quite a bit of time has passed since then..." He cut himself off. "Due to the state of the colony and its systems, it may take some time before I am able to produce results, but I will investigate and monitor what I can." His primary optic briefly shifted its focus towards location of the docking bays control room windows. "I will take the necessary precautions, though it is unlikely any of these. . . 'Visitors' will even be aware of the existence of the lesser known subsystems I'll be making use of."

His focus would remain directed more towards their new surroundings and its inhabitants than his teammates as he walked, but kept enough attention on Rock to prevent colliding with him. ". . . If desired, I can provide directions around the facility." Tau's primary optic shifted its focus towards the simian in front of him briefly. "Perhaps to more adequate medical provisions and equipment. . ."

Rock glanced back at the robot, his facial expression vague and indeterminate. After hearing him out, though, he slowly nodded once.

"Well... thanks," he said with as much surprise as he could muster (see: not much at the moment, but still appreciative). "... And I'll remember your concern if you ever need to get put back together," he added.

So there they were in the middle of the bustle of one of ARK's biggest enclosed docking bays. What now? Hard to say, but Rock picked a direction and started swaggering off in pursuit of a number of things: answers, food,... pills...

Rock's current appearance, by the way. (Thanks, Mie.)

Wild Badge stepped out of the shuttle, following behind the others, straining to keep from falling over with the extra weight he was carrying. Upon stepping down from the entry door, he mis-stepped and staggered forward, dropping Tracer.

"Hogosh!" he blurted out as he stumbled to regain balance. "Woops."

He looked up as the others as he grabbed Tracer under one armpit in an attempt to pull her back up, "I'm gonna see if there are holding cells available." He said to no one in particular(while making sure someone heard him at least) before kneeling to pick her up again.

Once he had her, he headed off to find the nearest GUN agents who could point him in the right direction.

Jam had remarkably little to say pertaining to storage space for Tracer, GUN's supposed presence or not, the story Astrid might tell them, or much else anyone discussed as the mismatched band of space-farers poured disorientedly out of their shuttle. With her helmet now off, it was at least possible to see that she wasn't totally disengaged to all things non-Rock; her eyes busily darted from corner to corner, tops and bottoms, and every now and again, her lips would purse in consideration, while her lids tightened at one thing or another, but ultimately, she said nothing.

... Until their charred, black and blue, bloodied and heavily bandaged de facto leader rambled off in what may as well have been a randomly selected direction. For once, Jam's pace matched his effortlessly -- perhaps because he was understandably tired, and not keen on hobbling faster than his day dictated he should. Whatever the case, in a low, private tone that at once sounded flatly irritated, concerned, and fatigued, she stated-more-than-asked, "I don't guess there's any point at all in telling you you should take it easy, huh?"

Coop glowered at nothing in particular. He stood there, in the middle of the bay, uneasy. His feet were apart, and his hands were held out from his sides; he held his shoulders up and back, and for all appearances seemed to be subconsciously trying to increase his size in the massive chamber.

As Badge went off to look for an official, and Rock went off to look for some really good medication, Coop stood, undecided.

He looked at the floor. He looked back up. He clenched his jaw.

Then he followed after Wild Badge — trailing after the burdened super-hero at a safe distance.

Across the hangar, a figure appeared from one of the passageways leading outside of the bay area, his eyes searching quickly across the space in front of him. Soon enough, they targeted the new group that had arrived, and he hastily walked right on over, appearing as if he were in a rush, and maybe a bit worked up. It was the first time since... well, ever, that he was glad to see Rock and company again.

Eventually, he was walking right up to them, seeming to have removed his green spacesuit a few moments prior and now dressed a bit more casually.

"'Bout time you guys showed up," he began as he drew closer. "We need to get movin' pronto. No one's runnin' this show anymore and- ...dang, what did you do? Get mauled by a tiger?"

Sheffer stopped a few feet away from the group, not seeming to notice the eagle and crime fighter wandering off, his attention too focused on the missile-torn monkey before him.

The hapless official that Hoji had targeted turned out to be nothing more than a distressed rent-a-cop of uncertain salary. He turned and, within seconds of spotting the llama-toting super-hero, began to yell.

"I already told—!" he began, his voice keening on the knife edge of reason, before appearing to control himself, with effort.

"Look," he said, shakily, "first aid's set up over there, near that service shuttle." He pointed vaguely in the direction of a unloaded supply shuttle, which had set up a plethora of makeshift sickbeds out of storage crates and blankets.

"They can help your friend out."
