It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

The fact that the elevator control panel was shorted out may or may not add to the confusion and panic, since it too was affected by the EMP. Guests were more than likely forced to trample one another via the stairs.

As for Archer, he looked around... At the moment, Tracer was making a stellar distraction. With the emerald providing the only light in the room, he rushed toward it, an arm reaching back to hold the bottom of his quiver steady as he ran.

And then a new, and more immediately dangerous light source appeared in a plume of angry fire. And then he saw the guard pointing her gun at Tracer. He slowed, and dropped to a knee, now on the feline security's flank, drawing an arrow in his bow. This one with a traditional pointy arrowhead, and fired. Actually aiming for the trigger of the gun. Thanks to the spreading fire, he was confident he could see well enough to make the shot. Assuming there was no interference, it would graze the armed cat's finger for minimal damage at best, but more importantly, it would carry the gun out of her hands, and pin it to the adjacent wall.

"...Maybe I should have let Tracer handle that." He thought, knowing that would probably shift some attention to himself.

"Oo-boofh--!"

The dalmatian immediately saw stars, and found herself struggling to catch her breath the moment the llama landed herself a blow to the canine's mid-section. She was so damn sure about that hit, up until the electricity apparently decided to completely die off. As she paused to regain her composure, there was the sudden explosion of a new light source -- apparently, somebody decided to light up the place using less conventional means. The dalmatian instinctively inched away from the source of heat, and looked towards her escaped quarry with a growl.

As she started to regain her composure, her fellow partner, Terra, had appeared, and seemed to have the llama subdued with her weapon -- that is, until an arrow tore through the air and stripped her co-worker of her weapon. Immediately, she looked to the source, and amidst the fiery hues, she managed to spot the culprit in question, huddled on a knee with his weapon drawn. Without hesitation, the security guard took a breath of air, and barked an order to Terra, something along the lines of, "Terra, tackle!!", as she herself charged and hurtled directly for Archer via body slam.

At that point, what with the new source of light and all, the other surrounding security guards had wised up to the source of the commotion, and were starting to close in, themselves, weapons drawn.

Mako seemed about to ask when, exactly, he had expressed the desire to become a true hero, but he turned his attention as the tortoise did. Oblivious to the tapir that crept nearer, his face was halfway between slack-jawed "oh, crud, what's going on", and a set-to-the-task grimace.

"Uh," the shark said, looking around in the relative darkness. "... what just happened?" he tried for starters, looking at his hulking companion, "and why do I hear explosions?"
Nonetheless, he inched a little closer to the building, almost as though a couple feet would make a substantial difference in his understanding.

In honesty, he hadn't expected anything to happen when he tagged along with Tank, and now, while there was definite activity in such close range... he was absolutely baffled as to what it was.

The purple bat zipped his lip and decided to bide his time. Between Mako's hesitance and the power failure at the hotel, Juke smelled his opportunity approaching; without further ado, he zipped from beyond Tank's grasp with a quick shove of his feet, sliding on his back in the plush grass, leapt back to his feet, and pointed with a loud and obnoxious and childlike "HAH."

Finding himself wanting for witty commentary, the soggy-wet bat just thrust his finger again and added another "HAH" with yet more emphasis, then turned and took off like a shot—

—straight into a very large, very purple woman, off of whom he bounced like an tennis ball off a wall, staggering and stumbling and spinning over his own feet, arms flailing, before taking another dive, this time face first onto the concrete walkway.

Between getting roughed up by Tracer, hotel security, and Tank all in rapid succession, and very nearly drowning in the process, he wasn't very coordinated. ... Actually, then again, that was about par the course. He was never very coordinated.

Suzy watched as the first fleeing guests began to trickle out of the casino, distracting her for a moment. Just then she felt something hit her thankfully cushy balloon like chest. She looked down at the bat who had face planted into the unfortunately less cushy concrete after wards.

"Hey! You okay little guy?" The Tapir asked, grabbing both of his shoulders and lifting him easily back up, turning him toward her, and setting him down onto his feet. "What's going on? Sure sounds exiting!" She asked, her short trunk sniffing the bat as her ears still focused on the scuffle from inside. Suzy had an odd smile on her face, it may have not been what she was expecting, but was exactly the kind of excitement she liked.

"HOMAGOWD! EMBA!" She yelped as fire erupted, Jack had to shield her eyes from the sudden burst of light. Her jaw hung slack for a moment. Jack couldn't believe a rational person would start throwing fire around like that. "We're gonna need ta have a talk 'bout fire safety..."

Tracer raised her arms as hot fire burst not far from her. She took a cautious step away from it and the smoke that billowed from it. Surely not a good sign. She glanced around as security closed in, Tracer turned and ran towards archer after the cat and dog that decided to shift their attention off of the Llama. It was their mistake, She at a full sprint she ran at the dog, and swung her fist firmly at the back of her head.

She didn't stop there. she kept running until she reached archer, grabbing a wad of his coat and shirt. "Exit" She started as she ripped him off the ground and started into a spin. "air-ducts." after one rotation she tossed the deer towards the stage and their objective`.

Jack watched a deer learn to fly then tugged Embers arm. "Lets leave super llama to secuity. We can't let him get that rock." Jack said as she turned her wings fluttering out from under her hair she took to the air after the deer.

Juke was too out of it to realize what was happening at first. Even as he was put on his feet, he stood with legs twisted like some sort of juxtaposed rag doll, shoulders uneven, sunglasses crooked, messy hair... well, messy (That part couldn't get any worse.), and head still spinning, figuratively, anyway.

"Nn?"

"?!"

It was right about then that awareness snapped back to him like a mental whipcrack, and he realized he was being closely appraised and sniffed by someone. Someone... very large. With a long nose. Touching him.

Societal norms: Destroyed. Personal space: Invaded. Juke's status: Uncomfortable.

The bat jerked away as if magnetically repelled, leaning back farther than his center of gravity should have allowed. He began to nearly slow-mo moonwalk back toward Tank, of all people, all while remaining silent and rigid as a corpse, with open hands held defensively in front of him.

"hey where ya going? I'm talking to'ya boy!" Suzy's face dropped from a grin to a glared, her three fingered hands balling into huge fists. He smelled like trash and chlorine to her, but that was the sort of people she was use to smelling.

She walked after him, moving slowly as well. "I don't want no trouble!" She said, though her tone, face, and body language, communicated the exact opposite. It really didn't matter if the bat would talk to her, seeing as there were three other people near by who could probably give the same information. She simply found it rude of him seeing as she had helped him up.

Terra's reaction to her gun being shot out of her hand was filled with curses and an enraged expression. Hands clenching into fists she had been ready to do as commanded by the canine and bring down the llama before the target ran. It seemed that she was going to make a break before she picked up her comrade and started to swing him in a circle.

The confusing move made sense when the deer was realized and went flying towards the stage. Realizing what the move finally was, Terra turned and started to race towards the stage. She had no chance of beating him there but hopefully she could stop him from making a getaway.

Ember, who had been eyeballing another nearby bottle, 'tsked' when it was hinted that she didn't know fire safety. The very idea was outrageous. Thankful they weren't going after Tracer she too followed Jack's example and let her wings lift her a few feet into the air. It anything she could make a quick escape if things went bad.

"Wha-Hey!" The deer squirmed when Tracer grabbed his suit jacket, and hurled him across the room toward the staged. He flailed unharmoniously, but his landing was much more graceful. He tucked into a roll on the stage, stopping on a knee right in front of the emerald in question. It's tinted hue casting it's light on him. He looked around to find one of the guards giving chase.

He drew his bow back, armed with an arrow. He let fly an arrow, whose arrowhead was just a round ball. On impact, it would produce a small localized explosion. Not intense enough to burn, it would certainly feel like Terra was hit in the head with a baseball, thrown by a pro pitcher. At the very least, she would be disoriented for a bit if it connected.

At which point, he turned his attention to the emerald. He quickly moved toward it, and reached out to grab it. It's radiance nearly pulling him into a trance.

"Now...what was that about air ducts?" He thought as he looked around the room.

All the while, the tortoise... cupped his chin, and furrowed his furrowed, unsure of the sudden scenario surrounding, and whether or not there were still things he hadn't learned about this island's bizarre culture. He opened his mouth to speak, and you could hear the breath he drew, but ultimately, he had nothing to offer. So, he turned to his fin-éd companion instead and cleared his throat for renewed vigor in his words.

"Eh, Mako! There ees daynjur afoot. Haye em going to crlash through that hweendow over there," he explained, pointing his finger in the direction of the hotel. "Yew... ..." He paused, clearly trying to find the right words for the situation, but eventually settled on a lackluster "...rally the, ceetizens."

And with that, he turned around (shaking his head?) and all-too readily super-jumped out of the area.

"WAIT, TA---" Mako started, reaching after Tank as he left. And then he looked quite crestfallen, and he turned. ... so there was... ... that bat-guy, and a very large purple woman with whom he was not familiar. "Some citizens to rally"; such lamented the fish.

He paused. He then turned again and waved his arms, and screamed:
"TANK! TAKE ME WITH YOU!"

He stood for a second, then sighed dejectedly. Mako braced himself as he spun around again... and, completely true to character, proceeded to very nearly trip over his massive tail. He stumbled and for a moment balanced on one foot, his arms waving like he was doing a poor windmill impression, before he re-gained his footing.

Mako coughed and brushed himself off like that didn't happen.
"Uhhh... Citizens!" he tried, yelling over to Juke and Suzy, a bit wary of drawing closer, for he was now alone, on Westside. ... Great.
"I'm supposed to rally you!"

"Ah— uh—"

Of all the times for the hero to leave him alone—Juke looked incredulously back, teeth digging into his lower lip as the huge tortoise leapt away, leaving him with the increasingly hostile-looking woman.

His head whipped forward again and kept backing up. "Hey, listen," he blurted in his gravelly, nasally voice, "I ain't got nothin' you want, lady! I'm just a poor boy from a poor family, you know what I'm sayin'?"

Mako shouted at him. Seeing his opportunity, he lunged over and seized the shark by the shoulders to use him as a shield.

"Why don'tchu sniff this here guy up for a while? He's a fish, you're a ... a... walrus... It's a sweet match."

Suzy glared at him, her ears drooping. "I'm'a Tapir you got it ya little horse rump? I could eat you for breakfast so ya better watch yer tongue." She snickered to herself, then looked to the shark. "You want to go in after your friend right? Have you been in there before?"
