Power Mask, undeniable champion of justice, seemed to reel back with understanding as Juke's words passed his soggy lips. His chin pointed more upward so simply as to better look down upon the proud street scum before him, and his eyes shrunk to narrow slits. "Aye see," were the only words he had left for him.

"Mako," he beckoned, cooly keeping his gaze on the Juke humbly laid between his legs. "Aye haff brlought yew hear, to learn the hways of a sentinel owf justeese. Een mai shell, hyou weel faind a pair of Powar-Handcuffs." He turned to the shark with that steely gaze that wouldn't look out of place in a western's showdown. "Conseedur theese hyour first lesson."

Jack stared at the formerly red bird a long moment while she processed what she said. For a second she wondered how dangerous could they be but Jack was willing to take the birds word on it. She removed her cellular phone from her own bodice and pointed it at the pair as they continued their discussion.

Tracer seemed miffed about something. Her simple plan seemed to have a flaw. How where they supposed to get out with the rock.

"Window. We get some hostages that can fly and make for the windows." She offered the hesitant buck. This was a situation her armor would have simplified immensely.

*Click* The phone made a noise like a picture being snapped. Jack hoped it'd be lost in all the ambient noise in the room. She sent the image to Target with some quick instructions.

Tracer turned to face the pair, her head canting slowly as she stepped closer. "What... was that?" She asked in a slow deliberate manor that defiantly promised violence.

The horned marksman sighed at Tracer's idea of a plan. Using flying hostages? His eyes glanced around for places that they could escape from. His train of thought was derailed however, by the faint click of a camera phone.

"You may have spent too much time frightening our friend, Hulkette." He said in a slightly accusing tone. He put a hand on Tracer's shoulder, and turned her away from Jack, leaning closer, "I'm gonna need a distraction so I can get my stuff. I have a feeling things are gonna get... hot in here. Very soon."

With that, he inched away from their little grouping, and back toward the banquet tables.

The bird had been certain that Jack would process the information and agree that retreat was the best idea. Then they could flounce off and not go the same way her phone did. The image of that was dashed however when she watched Jack pull out her cell phone.

It was as if time had slowed down by a few seconds as Ember watched in mute horror as a picture was taken followed by the loud noise of a camera shutter. When the llama quickly turned around at the sound Ember adopted a blank expression.

With the angry woman being distracted by her partner Ember shot Jack a look of disbelief.

The porcupine read her little note, quirking a brow in response to the jab at his quills, but he let that one go in lieu of the rest of the content he proceeded to read.

Upon taking in the information, Vince simply chuckled and leaned forward, returning the slip of paper to the lamb while speaking in a low, yet still audible pitch. "Now, now. I assure you, whatever they may try, we already have the appropriate security measures taken. I only have the best of the best keeping watch over the object. Besides... if anybody tried something, they would not get very far in this room, I promise you that."

He sat back down, leg crossed over the over, and hands clasped together as he gave the reporter a smile. "Barring that, though, do you feel up to continuing what we were supposed to do here? Of course, if the matter of my trophy is -still- a concern, I can go tell my employees to stay on high alert. Although, they are rather tense as it is..."

Bothered? Hardly. He had such a calm demeanor about the entire thing, it was almost infectious. Granted, he was already aware of a few shady types that were already in attendance to the gathering - hearing more news about a couple more wasn't anything jarring. Nevertheless, he pulled out his own communications device and typed something rather swiftly into the console. Several feet away, over by the trophy, the dalmatian guard checked a hand-held device, apparently receiving a message from the boss.

As she looked over the initial information, her facial features seem to twist into a bit of a snarl. Something about those descriptive features seemed to rub her the wrong way... As she motioned for a few of her partners to stay close to the gem, she waved over a couple of other fellow canine hands, and swiftly, they departed from the stage, dispersing amidst the crowd of dancers and reporters.

They were no doubt on the move to seek out that strange llama and the buck, make no mistake.

Mako gave Tank a rather curious look. He had followed his reptile companion, until it came to having to reach into his shell. Who knew what Power Utilities he kept in there? The fish looked between Juke and Tank repeatedly, opening and closing his mouth multiple times as though trying to think of a comment.

"... uh, can't you just hand me the handcuffs?" he tried out of the corner of his mouth.

Weird or not, best not to let the, uh, enemy to know his unease. Yes, he had been hanging around Tank for way, way too long, and he wasn't sure he was exactly enforcer of justice material. Most importantly, how would he manage to find a costume to accommodate his tail?
For good measure, he kind of half-heartedly tapped the bat on the side of his head with the inside of his fishy foot. Intimidating? Not so much, and he almost expected Juke to try and rip said foot clean off.

The sheriff looked up when Tracer addressed them, and gave the angry llama as gentle a smile she could.

"Love the dress." She said with a wink, just before she grabbed Ember arm and tore off in another direction.

The llama's eyebrows lowered as she let out a grumble that could easily be classified as a snarl. she was not happy about this development. She was tempted to pursue them, ripping off their wings should be a big enough distraction for the deer. But Tracers attention was pulled away by the spotted security that was making it's way towards her.

No more shallow social pretexts, this was the part of the night she lived for. Her frustration and rage melted away her expression turning cool and collected as she cracked her knuckles and stepped out of her heels. Security weaved through the crowd that was now giving the llama a wide berth given the frantic manor the two just fled from her. She stepped away, stopping at a small cocktail table a ferret and chinchilla where chattering around. Without a word the llama ripped the table up and threw it into the on coming security and whatever party guests remained in harms way.

This is when the screaming starts.

*DING DING* Jacks phone hummed, she flipped it open as she finally weaved towards the far side of the ball room a relatively safe distance from the llama. She looked at Ember a minute then back down at the phone. It was far from good news. Target received the image, and responded with the names and a abridged listing of crimes and warrens for both. Needless to say Jack only needed to skim it before forwarding it to Mary. That was all the warning Jack could afford for the lamb at the moment.

"How do yall know a pair of turr'rists, 'gain?" Jack asked looking at Ember with a quirked brow. "Ya know what? It don't matter. We have to do something 'fore she kill's someone."

Relieved that the question was going to wait Ember studied the problem that was happening right now. Her eyes darted over to the rampaging llama and the room in general. Already guests were starting to panic. As Ember's eyes landed on a discarded serving tray her eyes lit up.

"Why I say we give her something she can't control." replied the bird with a cheery tone. Kneeling down she swiped an unopened bottle of fine wine. Holding it under her arm she reached into the glove of her right hand. After a few seconds she pulled out a rather small lighter.

"Never leave without it. I like my bigger ones more but this dress has no pockets." she said with a roguish wink. "Mary's gonna kill me", she whispered before tearing off a long strip of the gauzy fabric. "Hopefully this will work, never used wine before."

Over the course of her actions Ember's voice took on a gleeful tone as if she was about to receive a very special treat. Using her beak she started to attempt to pull loose the tightly wedged cork.

Terra had noticed the other guards start to go out into the crowd and guessed that there was someone that shouldn't be here yet again. It didn't bother her or concern her. Her main worry was over her employer.

That's when the table was thrown over and chaos erupted.

Growling out a loud curse the cat stormed over to Vince, pulling her gun from its holster as she did so. Her hand firmly placed itself on his shoulder as she warned him, "Sir I think its best if you leave for the moment." Though she spoke to the man her eyes were still locked onto the llama just in case. Most likely they were going after the shiny rock and she wasn't paid to guard shiny rocks.

Unless they had the brains to take hostages, her mind added dryly. Vince might have had good security, hell, he had a lot of guards, but Mary still had her doubts on whether or not they could handle something that complex. Most of them were so busy keeping tabs on the rock they didn't think twice about looking out for the guests unless they did something obvious. What Vince said next only reaffirmed her suspicions.

He sat back down, leg crossed over the over, and hands clasped together as he gave the reporter a smile. "Barring that, though, do you feel up to continuing what we were supposed to do here? Of course, if the matter of my trophy is -still- a concern, I can go tell my employees to stay on high alert. Although, they are rather tense as it is..."

..And? Mary frowned. Why the hell was he so damn calm about this? Even she could see the flaws in his plan, and she was just a reporter! That man was too self-assured, WAY too full of himself for his own damned good, that was sure. Mary was just about to open her mouth to tell that ego down a peg when his answer came in the form of a table crashing and people screaming from outside.

"W-what was that?!" A reporter sputtered.

"I think it came from out there!"

"Don't know what the heck's going on around here, but no way am I sticking around to find out!" Exclaimed another. "They don't pay me enough to deal with crap like this."

"Me neither, I'm outta here!"

"Oh for the love of --" Mary growled, rolling her eyes. Soon they were all squaking at once at once, many of them bolting from seats to make a run for it. "Friggin' Pansies." thought the lamb indignantly. If they were just going to piss their pants every dangerous scoop they got, why'd they even bother even taking the job?

Then the cat she recognized from the line barged in. Her hand firmly placed itself on Vince's shoulder as she warned him, "Sir I think its best if you leave for the moment." Eyes still locked on the llama just in case.

"I'm going too." Said Mary, rising from her seat. She brushed passed Vince to the entrance, not even giving so much as a glance at the porcupine for permission. Mary didn't care if he approved or not, and even if he didn't, what the hell was he going to do about it? Vince didn't have the manpower to hold her there anyway. Not with furniture flying and people screaming all over the place the way they were.

The buck knelt down and slid his briefcase out from under one of the banquet tables, and slapped it down on an empty space, making room if necessary. He opened it up while the Llama garnered all the attention of security with some improvised weaponry.

In the briefcase was the buck's tools of the trade. A collapsible bow, which he quickly expanded to it's proper shape, his utility belt, and of course, his quiver of arrows. He had a very bare-bones selection of arrows this time. Had to make them count.

The real question though, was how he got this stuff passed security in the first place. Money may or may not have been involved with that. It was anyone's guess at this point. He threw the belt around his waist, and clicked it into place and hung the quiver over his shoulder.

Alright, now he was readying for business. He turned around, no doubt attracting a few eyes now that he had a bow in hand. He already had an arrow readied against the string of the bow. He drew it back, and aimed at the ceiling. He then fired. The arrow stuck to the ceiling, and the cylindrical arrowhead gave off flashes of blue light and beeped for about 3 seconds before emitting a powerful electro-magnetic pulse. It's main purpose was to take out the lights in the room, but it would also render some other electronic devices useless(see: cell phones).

Usually, he'd refrain from using these arrows, as they interfered with Tracer's armor... But that wasn't really an issue this time.

The porcupine's eyes widened slightly as the action finally started to go down. But in addition to that, so, too, did the grin upon his smug features expand. This was the kind of thing he had been waiting on the whole time. And now that somebody decided to start the real party, it could only get better from here.

Of course, as the porcupine rose from his chair, his guard Terra seemed intent on doing her job, pushing him back slightly with a hand upon his shoulder. A shame. Of course, the feisty lamb reporter decided that, apparently, she wasn't going to stick around, either. The porcupine had thoughts about at least keeping her around for the show, but decided that he may as well just let her flee. He would get in touch with her later.

"Terra." The resort owner quipped, that smile never leaving his face. "I'm going to go ahead and head to the employee facilities down below... My order for you is to just make sure those two hooligans are subdued before they make too much of a mess... If they manage to get their hands on the rock, let 'im have it. It'll be fine..." He started moving away, heading towards the back of the stage. There was probably some means of heading underground, tucked away behind the excess curtains lining the back wall. And amidst the chaos, it was unlikely anybody would be paying much attention to him, save for the security detail. Before Terra could reply or protest at all, Vince had vanished from the scene.

The dalmatian's eyes widened behind those shades as her initial quarry yanked up a table, and chucked it into her general direction.

The sound of wood and glass being brutally torn asunder followed the llama's actions, as the canine's steel-bottom shoe cracked through the oncoming debris via a most forceful kick, the security guard not taking her eyes off of the criminal. As soon as her path was clear, the dalmatian gave charge, and rushed towards Tracer without a moment's hesitation, a gloved fist curling tight as she hurtled it forward for a Grade A knockout punch.

... And then the lights went out, per the actions of Archer.

The dark purple llama was not about to let some security gaurd put an end to her fun so soon. She narrowed her eyes on the dalmation as she closed in for an attack. When she swung, the lights went out, the fist was knocked to the side and off target. A knee shot forward from the darkness into the dalmatians mid-section. The tall llama was in no mood for games, and certainly wasn't pulling punches. After she attacked though she took a few quiet steps back, and began to drift around the dalmation and towards the still softly glowing energy source in the room.

Jack's eyes went wide as Ember started to make a moltov cocktail. "Wha?! Ya can't go throwin' firebombs in a ball room! Ye'll set the buildin' on fire, or kill summ'un!" She protested Embers choice, just before the lights went out. Jack sighed a bit, as the guests that hadn't escaped yet immediately started to panic and run. In the darkness people smacked into Jack more then a few times running aorudn and flailing helplessly instead of waiting for their eyes to adjust to the now severely limited light.

"A'right, maybe enough fire fer some light, awhile?" Jack suggested as she was bumped into again and proceeded to stumble into Ember.

The bird had finally popped the cork out of the bottle when the lights went out. For the most part she had been ignoring Jack's arguments. After all, she knew what she was doing. In a way. Most of the time. Shaking the doubts from her head she started to stuff the end of the fabric into the open mouth of the bottlel.

"Don't you worry. I can handle it! I'm a pro at this!", she crowed as her thumb flicked the lighter's switch. Pausing only for a second to smile fondly at the little flame before holding it against the fabric. Within a few seconds the fabirc was lit and Ember reared her arm back to throw.

"Bombs away! Haha!"

With a toss, the makeshift explosive flew through the air.

Vince's order brought a grin to Terra's face. After so long being out of action this was it. Making sure the safety was off her gun one final time she scanned the dark room for the llama. Her eyes quickly grew used to the dark and she spotted what she guessed was the problem person. Raising her gun she took aim and wrapped her finger around the trigger. Just the legs. Enough to slow her down.

That's when a flying wine bottle decided to make a landing between the cat and her target. Luckily no one got hit directly but the fire quickly spread over the floor. Jumping back a few steps Terra could only stare at the fire.

"You gotta be F#%$#ing kidding me!", she hissed out as her temper started to raise.

The fire only caused the guests to panic more as the screams rose in volume. With the light of the fire many rushed towards the exit. Fighting against the flow of the crowd she shoved many a patron out of the way. This was no time for images. Terra wanted to punch something and for once she was allowed too.

Pushing aside a portly pig she reached the llama and raised her gun. A rather creepy smile was on her face at Terra glared up at the woman.

"You have one chance. Leave or I shoot."

Ember watched with satisfaction as the fire spread. Turning to Jack she gave her a thumbs up.

"See? I knew what I was doing."

There is, no better place to go for excitement then casino park. With it's warm night air, parties every night, and exotic night life, it's no wonder you would find someone like Suzy here. She had been almost everywhere on the main land in her travels, it was about time she went somewhere new. Suzy felt like she had grown a few feet, going from the largely human populated Central City to one with more Mobians [Please don't reference Mobius in this RP! Our story doesn't include Archie/SatAM! -Autocensor].

Her motorbike safely parked, and her pocket full of more money than she had in years, she was ready to have a good time.
The tapir walked through the more ritzy part of town, passing expensive hotels and and ritzy casinos.

Suzy stopped, her large ears swiveling about to pick up an unusual sound; The splashing of water, and the cries of battle. She turned just in to see a huge figure in purple spandex pop out a near by fountain. She watched from a distance, listening to the conversation at hand. She chuckled, not sure what to think of things. "Maybe I should get a closer look." She thought as she moved a bit, walking around the fountain slowly, trying not to draw to much attention to herself... yet.

"Hyew cannot condeesur hesitating, mai flriend, for eef hyew are to be-comb a trlue hero," he emphasized with a superdramatic clench of his fist, "eet eez eem-parlative that--"

"..." He seemed puzzled for a moment, turning his head to the hotel building that didn't seem all that fancy anymore once all its lights had shorted out. He looked to be in deep thought, squinting his eyes and furrowing his brows at the sudden change, solving the mystery in his head at that very moment.

"......Hmh."
