It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

Alas, the ref's cries seemed to fall on deaf ears, for Flex was too busy listening to the sound of his own boisterous belly laughing to pay the striped man's cries any mind. His sudden grin wasn't malicious, or even angry in the least. Rather, it was merely pure, carefree satisfaction and glee.

"HA, HA, HA, HA. SHUT UP, SQUARE."

And with that, Flex simply went and picked the ref up and tossed him out of the ring, leaving him to land with relative harmlessness into the soft body of the crowd beyond. His eyes grew wider, smile grew farther, and he proudly proclaimed his new status in the center of the ring.

"I AM THE KING!"

The bell rang rapidly as the officials tried to end the fight. (If there was any question at all, yes, throwing the referee out of the ring resulted in disqualification.) A trio of security guards, who looked more like bouncers with their black T-shirts and headsets, stormed the ring and started trying to grab, restrain, and remove the bear from the ring.

"Absolute pandemonium in the ring! Bopper has lost his marbles!" declared one of the commentators. "They might as well have opened a window and let a breeze blow in rather than call security! They're not budging him! This is outta control," observed the other. "And— ohhh no, it ain't over yet. Rock's— what's he— is he taking off his gloves?"

The simian indeed ripped the tape off with his teeth, threw his gloves aside, and utterly blindsided the bear with a leaping punch at the back of his head. In an explosive fit, he was trying to piggyback on Flex while jackhammering him in the skull.

Bedlam reigned in the ring as it never had before, as both corner crews flooded outward like two opposing energy beams flying at each other.

Among the chaos was Rock's cornerman, who was questionably too old for such excitement, and a very angry pink monkey, who stuck out like a sore thumb in the teeming masses; not because of her coloration, but because she was actively decking anyone she recognized from the enemy corner in her rather brutishly zealous efforts to get to the grizzly.

Having watched the latter round of the fight in increasingly ornery outrage, the commotion of a free-for-all brawl served as an open invitation to come give opinion on the match, and Jam took it, with excess enthusiasm.

"HEY, UGLY!"

... She also seemed to have taken Rock's corner stool, which she raked zealously across the bear's kneecaps.

Considering his vociferous, tonsil-bearing laughter, Flex seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the explosion of chaos that overtook the ring, and why not? It was probably the greatest stress relief he could ask for, considering the straight-laced rules and regulations of a boxing match. Sure, he'd be disqualified, but all things considered, it was totally worth it.

Sadly, his happy fun time violence spree nearly came to a screeching halt when Rock hopped on his shoulders and started getting nasty on his head, forcing the grizzly to wail about wildly and blindly swat his paws at whatever came near, punctuated with cries of "OHHHH WHAT THE" and "JOCKEY JOCKEY". Jam's assault in particular went unnoticed in the raucous bedlam, prompting a cry of "AH KNEES MY TITS" from her victim.

Fists were flying, spit was spat, and Flex had actively tripped over the ropes in the midst of the utter confusion (also thanks in part to the efforts of Jam), spilling himself, his simian contents, and surely a great deal of the pandemonium of the brawl into the midst of the commentators and camera crew.

It was to be a long night.

The fight barreled through the stands for another ten minutes, sending audience-members retreating, tumbling over seats and railings, and, at least a couple times, flying. (And they weren't birds.)

By the time the debacle settled, an entire seating section of the arena had been depopulated, paramedics were tending to folks, and it was uncertain if the night's events would even continue.

The announcer nonetheless remained seated near the ring, his tux torn at the shoulder, tie hanging loose, and hair all messed up. He looked punchdrunk, but dead-set to fulfill his duties if it turned out to be necessary.

Calming jazz music was piped in to fill the gap until event coordinators made their decisions on what to do.

At some point later, the powers that be finally decided that the show must go on, so the announcer, in all his bedraggled glory, was sent center-stage once more. Was he getting tired of it by this point? Maybe, but there was a certain unalterable, entirely artificial enthusiasm about him at all times, so no one would really know.

"In this corner, wearing white and gold, weighing sixty-one kilograms, the fighting pride of Pride Isle, Prince Jabari!"

And, of course, his opponent was next.

"And in this corner, wearing pink and white, weighing thirty-one kilograms, the Yellow Desert's Sheriff Jacqueline Clarke!"

So much for weight classes—those seemed to have been thrown completely to the wind with Mako vs. Tank. Whatever the case, they were soon enough brought to the center of the ring, read the rules, sent to their corners, and...

Well, the rest involves a bell and a lot of violence.

The plum purple lion moved to the center of the ring, presumably at the same time as the griffin. After observing the formalities of a boxing match, he readied himself. He shifted left and right with his gloves up in a guarding stance near his face. Eying his opponent.

The anatomy of the boxing match was not foreign to Jabari. He approached Jack with caution, and threw a punch at her chest just to test the waters, so to speak.

The sheriff was ready when he came at her, She avoided the blow, pivoting away as it passed by her. The lions stature awarded him a longer reach. Jack was left with little option but to avoid his blows until she could get close enough to land one of her own. Avoiding him was one thing, But she'd have to hit him if she wanted to make it any farther in this tournament. Familiar as she was with fighting, boxing was different enough to worry her when she realized Jabari was no stranger to the sport.

The punch hit nothing but air. He was a bit surprised that she was so quick to move out of the way instead of simply smacking aside the testing shot. It was more of a reach, really... But more surprising than that, she didn't follow up her parry with a counter.

He strafed to his right, leaning low and bringing his left arm around in a more daring attempt to put some points on the scoreboard, throwing a wide hook toward her ribs.

Jack was surprised by the manner in which Jabari swung at her. The wild blow was easy enough to avoid, She hopped back to where she was after he threw the blow. The first round continued on in much the same fashion. Jabari showed no hesitation in his attacks and Jack tried her best to avoid them. It didn't take long for him to land a blow into Jacks ribs that simply confirmed her theory that getting hit by this guy would be a very bad thing. The round ended with Jabari in a clear lead.

In her corner Target scolded the golden griffin about not throwing punches. But with five rounds still ahead of Jack seemed unconcerned. She raised her fists prepared herself for the next round. With the second ring of the bell she was back in the middle of the ring with Jabari, This time she threw the first punch. She ducked close and made for a quick jab into his middle.

The fact that his opponent was being so conservative with her punches irritated the lion quite a bit. As the next round opened up he was in a more notably defensive position, not wanting to be beaten by his own exertion.

This time, she made the first move, his eyes went wide as she weaved in and attempted a jab at his middle. Instead of blocking, he brought an arm back, and threw an uppercut to chin-check her. In doing so, he would be hit, but his own blow would keep him in the lead.

He backed off after trading blows to shake off the new found pain in his ribs. After a moment, he moved forward again and threw a quick jab at her head.

Jack staggered back two steps as well, by the looks of him, she was getting the feeling her punch wasn't hurting him nearly as much as his hers. But it wasn't about the quality of the punch, but the quantity.

when he moved in to strike again she ducked the blow and let loose a right and a left right after one another into his stomach before she backed off to avoid farther retaliation, her gloves up and defensive. "Heh, You're not new to this, are you?"

He expected her to evade the jab to the head, but was unable to counter her retaliation. He was nailed in the stomach. Twice; putting Jack in the clear lead.

He took up a defensive stance, letting out a low growl of frustration, It was clear he wasn't at the top of his game regardless of how many championships he may have won.

"Certainly not. You're not bad for a novice." He managed to say through the restraint of his mouth guard.

Three more rounds would pass with the two of them exchanging blows. Both competitors played the numbers game, throwing punches anywhere there was an opening, Jabari's opponent was competent, even if she wasn't very strong or well trained. Jack was getting comfortable with the pace of the match, but it became apparent Jabari wasn't.

Then, without warning, he lunged low, throwing a low hook to her ribs, expecting her to block, then rose to throw a powerful hook to the side of her head.

Jack lowered her arms to block the first blow, her lack of boxing expertise didn't inform her this was a bad idea until after she'd lined herself up for his next blow. Her head whipped back and she staggered away from the lion, dazed, trying to keep her fists up as she located her brain and shifted her now throbbing jaw.

There was no hesitation now; he was done sizing up the competition. He didn't wait for her to recalibrate herself, and leaned forward with his right glove reared to throw a powerful cross at her face.

The cross hit her squarely, Jack spun around with the blow and stumbled backwards. With how she spun around she actually staggered a half step towards Jabari before collapsing on him.

...Not entirely sure how to react to an opponent collapsing into him, Jabari instinctively caught her... And then dropped her. Guess there was a first for everything.

He winced slightly when she hit the ground, though. "...Sorry." He muttered, unsure if she was conscious enough to hear.
