It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

"I would be more than happy to!" came the cackling response over the radio from the moth. (Maybe Mako had been accidentally holding the button. Or, maybe Henshin could hear them at all times.) "Why, you don't even have to wait to get blown up for that..."

Brrr.

"Anyway, are you boys ready?"

Mako gave a deeply concerned look to the Wild-Talkie. Deeply, deeply concerned. Twelve different flavors of concerned.

After much deliberation, he answered the doctor:
"No."

"Ah, don't listen to him doc," said Sheffer, still speaking into the walkie-talkie. "He'll be fine. Right, buddy?" He gave an optimistic smile to Mako, not expecting a friendly reply from the shark later on.

"Anyway, good to go whenever you are, Henshin. Hope you have some idea what we're doing."

"Not a clue!" Henshin's radio-garbled voice chirped back happily. "But I am a devout subscriber to the belief that when you must do something, yet cannot do anything constructive, there remains but one course!"

At that moment, there came a horrible sound like that of a convoy of a thousand diesel trucks all towing trailers full of angry bees, all emanating from a single, small, ungodly-loud figure covered from head to toe in trumpet-like appendages and blinding, colorful strobe seizure-lights and LEDs, actively shooting dazzling, screaming fireworks into the air from its own body. This person was conspicuously the size of Dr. Henshin himself, and appeared to be weaving and swerving through the air in an uncoordinated, chaotic kind of way that could only be unique to him.

"Behold, the Tactical Distraction Suit!" came the distorted, hard-to-understand declaration through their walkie-talkies. (It couldn't possibly be long at all before he had a train of security personnel in pursuit.)

"...the hell is that..."

The purpose of the Tactical Distraction Suit almost began to work against the people it was supposed to assist, but as numerous security guards gravitated at high velocities towards the source of outrageous noise and light, Sheffer hesitantly grabbed the blue shark's arm, dragging him off.

"Time to go!" he yelled over the racket produced by the doctor, dashing off towards the warehouse.

Hoji wasn't far behind as they approached their destination. And when the queue came for a distraction, even Hoji was caught a bit off guard by the means that the cooky old scientist decided to provide it.

It was short-lived though, and he headed in the direction of the warehouse, almost as if on queue with Sheffer's words(but really, he didn't even hear it over the racket that Dr. Henshin was producing).

Mako needed no second bidding, and was running toward the warehouse at a beeline. Whether it was actually because of the incoming security, or just to avoid the most terrible sound he had ever heard.

"That freaky old moth!" he lamented as he ran, surprisingly not tripping over his tail, discarded fireworks, rocks, his own feet... and deary hoped that Dr. Henshin couldn't hear him via the wild-talkie, or a computer chip in his nose, or something equally intrusive.
He didn't put it beyond the eccentric insect.

With the doctor still blaring away behind them and the security of the area temporarily distracted, the trio made it to the warehouse with relative ease... Except for one obstacle; a towering fence, lined with barbed wire at its top.

Not having much time to lose, Sheffer took the primitive approach; destroying it with brute force. Planting a foot, he rolled forward, a high pitched whirring occurring as he began to spin, but the noise was easily drowned out by the racket on the street. The twirling ball of blue and green shot forward after a few moments, colliding with the fence. Yellow strips flew and the fence bent, eventually giving into the overly sharp, spinning object attacking it, Sheffer creating a large, somewhat jagged hole in the fencing as he burst through.

Sliding on his feet for a few seconds, he hastily motioned for the other two to follow, absentmindedly tugging off a strip of the warning tape from one of his quills as he ran to the warehouse.

Hoji didn't lose any pace as he approached the fence. There was a flash of light as his blue white and gold uniform enveloped his body. He planted his feet, bent his knees, and sprang into the air. In a feat of acrobatics, he was able to leap clear over the barbed wiring of the fence, doing a forward flip at the apex of his jump.

He landed beside Sheffer on the other side with his golden yellow cape flowing behind him. Then making his way to the warehouse as well.

Not much was found beyond the fence, short of the aforementioned fireworks debris and other unrecognizable pieces of trash, strewn about all over through years of wear and tear from wind, rain, and other miscellaneous elements of nature.

As the to-be-investigators padded their way to the entrance of the warehouse, it came as no surprise that several heads of security could be seen off at a distance, their primary destination being the ungodly ruckus still emanating from that one particular individual... Most of them were seen keeping their hands to their sensitive ears the closer they approached...

One could only hope they were being paid enough.

---

Upon reaching the abandoned structure, if they were to just peek through the broken windows, they would take notice of what appeared to be a relatively empty warehouse, albeit one that was very clean for one that had undergone a devastating display in years past. The entire floor was completely devoid of any trolleys, conveyor belts, or even old crates and containers, although there seemed to be a single forklift far off in the corner. Two stairways at the far end of the gigantic room appeared to lead up to the higher stories, although the ceiling in the first story appeared to be falling apart... It was pretty clear that the initial disaster had to have occurred higher up... Aside from those points of interest, the first story was relatively uninteresting in appearance, save for it's unreasonable cleanliness...

But.. why was it so tidy...?

... Almost immediately, such inquiries were put to rest by the sudden appearance of a new face -- There appeared to be an ancient reptile close by to the forklift, hunched over, and armed only with a mop an a push broom, the two 'armaments' mounted like weapons upon his shelled back. Shuffling along, the crotchety turtle pushed a large on-wheels trashcan in front, reaching up slowly only to adjust the blank baseball cap over his eyes. After he gave one last look to the entire floor, the old man resumed his trek, moving he and his supplies over to an elevator shaft that resided at the opposing side of the room, on the rightmost wall of the building. Contradictory to the appearance of the entire warehouse, the elevators themselves appeared quite new...

The reptile jabbed a gnarled finger at a button, before shuffling into the lift, doors closing silently behind him.

At that point, the only light that was present on the entire story flickered to a dim hue, before cutting out completely, leaving the whole floor dark, and quiet.

Granted, in the present daylight, the warehouse wasn't exactly -flooded- with darkness, but.. it certainly set an uneasy air about the place...

"Oh fortheluvva-- WAIT UP!!!"
Such was the demand of the shark, who was, in fact, a small ways behind-- he was following after two superheroes, with only his sharky legs to carry him... and sharks, this shark included, were not known for terrible feats of acceleration. He proceeded to, true to form, skid to a stop and trip impressively, doing a full somersault before landing on his tail. He grumbled for a few seconds before he followed into the warehouse.

He watched the ancient turtle in silence, eyebrows raised...
And then the lights went out, and he laughed a bit nervously.

"... all in favor of going back to the hotel?" he tried sheepishly.

The scarfed hero slowed as he came closer to the warehouse, making sure not to fall into peripheral vision of the two guards that were leaving their post. He peered inside as the old turtle fellow was making his way to an elevator. A quick glance to their prat-falling com-padre.

"... all in favor of going back to the hotel?"

"No turning back now." Was all he said as he made his way deeper into the warehouse, and toward the elevator.

...Stopping to investigate the lone forklift. Just in case there was anything interesting on it, like...a pallet, a crate. Why would they simply leave the forklift in the middle of the warehouse if they were cleaning up the place?

Sheffer simply gave Mako a hearty clap on the back.

"C'mon, Gills. Would you rather turn around and face those security guards instead?"

With that, he stepped inside the warehouse, following Hoji as he looked about the room. Nothing was of major interest, except maybe the forklift, but otherwise, the new-looking elevator guided them, seeming misplaced in such a dilapidated building.

The taps of his feet on the floor below echoed through the ground floor, the air silent except for the trio. Approaching the elevator shaft while giving the forklift another glance, he jabbed the button to summon the lift, waiting patiently. It was only a few moments before it arrived, the doors sliding open to allow him to enter.

"We got this far," said Sheffer, stepping inside. "Let's go see what Vince's underground contains."

Wild Badge scanned the forklift for anything that would stand out as significant in any way, but nothing aside from the fact that he was probably put to use quite a bit...

With a shrug, he turned toward the elevator as it opened up and stepped inside as well, turning on his heel as he did so to face the door. He glanced at Sheff as he spoke.

"That's why we're here." He said before looking down to adjust his gloves.
