The floor sparked momentarily with electricity but it did little more then bounced harmlessly off her suit. The insulation more then enough for her to ignore the shock and the deafening noise seemed to bother her just as much. As the turrets aligned to ensure her destruction, the rockets on her back flared and she leapt away letting them bore holes in the ground where she stood a moment before. She landed beside her gear which she yanked out of the pile of debris it'd stopped in after crashing through the wall. She carried it over to the opening she'd made in the wall.

With the first two sentries taken care of, and the whole finally complete, it was time to get moving again -- after, of course, his walking shield-tank had tamed the adversaries at the other side of the hole, of course. He waited for her to take point, and made sure to stay behind her as the turrets swiveled to take aim at them.

She carried the board sideways under one arm so the archer could duck behind it and fire over as needed. She made her way around the room with the shield and her partner in tow, stopping in front of the elevator to slam her board into the ground in front of it like a surfboard buried in the sand, only with a gear, and concrete.

As expected, as they moved, he leaned out from cover with arrows with traditional razor sharp arrowheads armed, and fired at the turrets targeting sensors, with the intention of doing away with their ability to detect them. Upon arriving at the elevator with deployable cover in place, he turned to the control console for the elevator, and began working his hacking magic to call the elevator without the necessary clearance.

Nobody who knew Jam would venture that she was a very political person, and she'd be hard-pressed to offer any kind of accurate description of what precisely a separatist was, but it was a little more than apparent from the surrounding pillars of smoke, scattered rubble, general entropy, and the way everyone practically expectorated the word that they didn't like them.

The punch-red monkey was more than happy to act on those sentiments, and all the moreso when the likelihood of being mistaken for one and shot went down with Rock's very prudent request. Nevertheless, her shield remained vigilant as she fell into place behind the dove-colored pointman, leaving little more than a tail or two disappearing around the corner by the time Rekk announced his imposed company and proposed place in their impromptu little squad.

—In short, Rekk was talking to the two monkeys' distant backs as they ran off through the facility. Wasn't that the way it always was for him, dealing with Rock?

They were able to catch up in considerably less time than it had taken the two infiltrators to get to where they were. It helped a little, not being shot at or generally assailed by GUN operatives the whole way, for sure. Rock was smarter than to just charge straight in, though; once he got close to the roar of conflict, he waved a hand downward, signaling Jam to slow; he soon quietly approached the threshold of an open door, and stopped with his shoulder brushing the thick concrete wall.

He heard activity. No talking, but there were beeps. He could tell there had been a great deal of shooting just judging by the damage done to the surrounding area, so, quick-thinking as always, he tugged his mirrored sunglasses from where they hung at his waist, and held them just barely around the corner for just a couple seconds; through the reflection, he made a fast sweep of the room, made out the board embedded in the floor in front of a very important-looking, heavy-duty elevator, and, from the looks of it, someone in some sort of powered armor. Archer was not visible to him at a glance, but it was evident someone or something was there.

He quickly stowed his shades, pulled a grenade from his belt, pulled the pin, let it cook for... a dangerously long time, then hurled it through the open door without exposing himself. It wasn't precise, but it didn't need to be; it exploded almost on impact with the floor, if not in midair, dangerously near to the elevator door.

Rekk allowed himself to furrow his eyebrows when he realized that, oh wait, Rock and Jam were already long gone. He had a hard time blaming them because time was of the essence, but, well, would it have killed him to wait? He gave chase while he got over it, his drone bobbing after him.

He met up with them just as he saw Rock fling the grenade, which did what grenades usually did, stumbling just a little at the unexpected explosion. If he was chucking explosives around, they must've found them - or maybe Rock just saw some art he didn't like in the next room. But he was pretty sure it was cause they'd found the separatists.

"Get a good look at them?" He asked, taking cover away from the open door.

"There! Got--"

The armored mask notified her of incoming, when they stopped outside the door instead of rushing in it set off a red flag as it where. Tracer's full attention snapped towards the doorway as the grenade was lobbed through, she abruptly turned and threw herself over the far less armored hacker that was really the easiest means for her to get into the actual facility. The explosive knocked her board from it's upright position into them-Tracer let out a huff from the impact. Her pressing Archer against the wall might of been more enjoyable for him if not for all the cold angular metal jutting into him.

He was cut off by being tackled into the wall with a quick "WHA!" not even fully formulating the question properly in the moment. He winced a bit as the explosion left his ears ringing, but luckily that was all it accomplished to the squishier of the two invaders.

The llama grabbed the shield from over top of them, swinging it around as she rose and let the deer return to his previous vertical position. She said nothing to him as she she now held the shield up as her shoulders folded open again, she fired the remaining of her rockets into the entry the grenade had come through and into it, filling the hall with several times more explosives then what had been lobbed at her.

He scrambled to his feet once the llama had gotten up. With the hacking process complete, he pressed the necessary buttons to call the elevator, which produced a mechanical humming on the inside from the pulley system that operated the elevator.

"Elevator's on it's way."

He said as he reached behind his shoulder for the fletching of an arrow, and while behind the protection of the massive gear shield, armed it in his bow while peeking around his cover to see what was going on.

Part of the usefulness of a thrown explosive was the chaos it created; to not take advantage of it would be to waste much of its usefulness, and there was very little Rock did that was "wasteful" when it came to a combat situation. As soon as the grenade went off, its user followed it in with a shout of "GO!"—Not the answer Rekk was looking for, though Rock wasn't trying to slight him or ignore his question. He seriously didn't have time to answer, or might not have even heard the cat over the initial noise of that wondrous, fiery boom.

As he streaked like a shot into the large, round, doughnutlike room, his carbine jumped and stuttered with the deep, bass pounding of burst-fired rifle caliber rounds, utterly loud as thunder in that enclosed space, while he himself erratically closed in on the hostile duo. When those tiny micro-missiles whizzed by, Rock didn't sweat them any, or seem to worry about them going off behind him in the slightest; his quick-thinking, scrutinizing mind instantly deemed them a non-threat without a near-direct hit. Reason? They had to be kind of puny to fit so many in those armored shoulder pads, far smaller than the volume of a grenade, with very little shrapnel material—And a good portion of that was still going to be propellant and not explosive, anyway.

Those were the kinds of specifics that blazed through Rock's mind at a thousand miles per hour in the heat of conflict; they'd have to think and act fast and proactively if they wanted to keep him at a distance for any longer than a few seconds. He had found a concrete pillar to use for cover momentarily, but that was just one stepping stone, and he had a fair amount of ammo left to work his way ever closer.

At Rock's word, a shield covered Rekk and his drone and the two rushed into the room after him. Without a firearm of his own, he wasn't much use at anything besides close quarters, but there was still one thing he could do.

The miniature missiles pummeled the spherical shield, causing it to flicker slightly but seemingly causing no adverse effect beyond that. In the meantime, Rekk zipped right behind Rock and moved to his side. "Stay behind me!" He said abruptly before continuing across the room. Normally, he would've just brought Rock into the shield, but he figured with him still being armed and capable of assailing their opponents from range, he'd appreciate some moving cover more.

In a simultaneous mirror image that had to look nearly choreographed, the very same instant Rekk was surrounded by his translucent blue orb, Jam's volatile, crackling green one surged an anticipatory shower of sparks just prior to her departure.

While not a particularly natural pointman, the electric primate was adept at or at least very used to following orders without question or hesitation, so when the black-suited feline veered to the side to take the front, Jam readily fell into position at his right flank, while her lightning shield greedily consumed all it was fed with little more than a near-constant strobing.

Though it was more than safe to assume that anything of reasonable threat would be EMP-resistant, the frizzy-furred simian was never adverse to trying for the sake of trying, and lobbed one, then two sloppily aimed shots of ball lighting in all its super-hot, exploding plasma glory towards their mysterious, armored opposition before segueing immediately into a short-lived, but sudden, and moderately intense electrical pulse. No telling what it would do, if anything, but for now, it seemed like they were just testing the cut of each other's sails.

"Ok, now put your hands behind your head."

"Right, right," Coop mumbled to himself, wearily meshing his fingers behind his neck.

The shield came off. Surrounded as Coop was by his weapons—the grenade launcher, unloaded; the grenade; and a couple of bandoliers—he seemed every inch the defeated crook.

He did not, however, have the decency to look abashed, or even slightly discouraged. As one of the soldiers stalked up to him carrying one of G.U.N.'s specialty custom pairs of handcuffs (made in a extremely wide variety of shapes and sizes for handy immobilization in today's fast-paced law-enforcing environment), Coop stared ahead blandly.

The officer with the cuffs moved around being the eagle and took one of his hands.

Coop lunged forward, carrying the hapless officer with him.

The hooded hoodlum peered at the opposition as it made it's way deeper into the circular room. So far, there were 3 of them, shuffling in, and hitting the armored llama with EMP's for good measure.

They didn't have time for a skirmish though, as the door behind them slid opened. He stepped out from behind his cover arms raised to take aim,

"Number 2!"

Upon shouting that, he let loose the arrow. Having aimed at the floor just in front of the group that consisted of two monkey's and a cat. On impact with the ground, the arrow exploded in a plume of white light and sound. He had hoped to catch all three of their pursuers with the flashbang.

...And hopefully, when he turned to enter the elevator behind him, Tracer was doing the same.

Lightning sparked over armored plateing as the figure stood unmoved by there assult. Then she heard the deer beside her shuffle. He called out a number and suddenly the glowing eyes on her mask flickered away as she started to back up after the gentle bing of the elevator.

After the following boom she opened her eyes and ran to the elevator, stopping outside of the door she pointed her arm at it, some sort of foam sprayed out over the controls and the call button. Whatever it was started to expand rapidly once exposed to the air making a sticky mess out of what used to be the access panel her deer friend had hacked. She took the half-step into the elevator and immedatly pressed the close-door button.

If Rock had been granted the foresight to stay behind that pillar a second longer, he would have dodged the proverbial bullet, at least as far as the little arrow-delivered flashbang was concerned. Unfortunately, he emerged just in time to not really see it coming through the combined haze of Rekk and Jam's separate shields. It was still a blessing in a way; the shields took the concussive brunt (and deflected a lot of the sound), and even made it a little less hard on the eyes. Of course, that was like saying that a hat makes a brick to the head a little less painful—true, but not entirely significant.

The primate squinted and struggled to see through the suddenly-darker-looking room, and the big, annoying, flashing spot burned in just off-center of his vision. He was able to sight the armored one doing something to the elevator controls before boarding, and so he moved quickly (if just a touch awkwardly, still disoriented by those spots) around his shielded partners, his other grenade in hand; he was just about to pull the pin and send it cruisin' down the elevator with the troublesome duo, but he thought better of it as the doors started to close. Both brows furrowed low as he stopped, stood straight, and jammed the grenade back on his belt with a quiet huff out his nose. For whatever reason, he didn't take the opportunity, possibly because he didn't trust his own accuracy in the moment.

"That elevator's the only way down, isn't it?" he presumed, based on the notion that the invaders probably wouldn't have risked life and limb just to avoid a few flights of stairs.

Rekk growled something that may have been profane under his breath as he rubbed his eyes. His shield blipped out and he walked over to the panel the armored one had messed with. "...no."

He sighed. "There's another base further up the hills that's connected to this one through an underground monorail. The emerald is an equal distance between the two bases." He sighed. "I'd drive, but my car got hit by a grenade."

Far less immovable than her aptly-named counterpart, the redder primate behaved as though she'd taken the full brunt of the flash bang arrow (which some deeply recessed part of her brain was geeking out over; "That's just like Emerald Arrow!") to the face, stumbling toward the sound of her cohorts voices with an arm over her eyes, and a perpetual groan seeping from her gaping jaw.

When the discussion turned towards elevators, underground paths, and objective distance, however, without any forewarning, she blearily made her way toward the call button panel, blinked half-blindly at it, then reared back, and punched it with an alarmingly sudden, and well-aimed electrified fist. The now deeply concave panel fell to the floor with a clatter, revealing a tangled mess of wires, important-looking circuitry, and all manner of other goodies inside.

Both hands dove for the delicate elevator innards as if an open, unattended jar of candy, while the snarling electric current enveloping the monkey's body seared bright white; from within the inset came various pops, sizzling sounds, and eventually smoke, while the entire building's lighting dimmed and flickered erratically. The doors began to open and close like a masticating hippo in an eating competition, and the LCD panel lit up with all manner of garbled nonsense only to outright burst in a small explosion when it'd had enough; the floor indicator above the elevator's rapidly opening and closing maw quickly followed suit.

Within a matter of seconds, the doors ground to a slightly agape stop, the floor, if not the entire base was pitched into complete darkness, and the elevator was effectively FUBAR'd.

"Wheels, I can't do nothin' about," she panted, swaying disorientedly into the wall. "But maybe a little extra time'll even out the playing field, yeah?"

Rock recoiled a little from the spectacle, arms half-raised in front of him, and quietly back-stepped to a safe distance with one of those unsubtly impressed "well, sh**" looks plastered all over his face. Once Jam finished, and he was left standing in the dark, he blinked a few times, then replied,

"... Okay, yeah, that does help."

As his eyes quickly adjusted to the dimmer light, and his nose adjusted to the foul smell of burning electrical components, he stepped up to the heavy steel doors and tried to peer in. "It looks like it stopped, but it's a pretty big shaft... They're not gonna have any trouble droppin' the rest of the way down once they find a way to climb out of the elevator car."

He stuck his head into the partially opened entryway only to find it was a hat size too small; he grunted a "Help me pull this thing" while he clenched at one door with his leather-clad hands and struggled.
