It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.
Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.
I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.
I love you guys. God bless.

From behind of one of the interior walls swung a fist; Coop threw a heavy, no-nonsense punch at the drone, and, after a quick glance around to see where the cat was, hustled further back into the shadows.

Just a few minutes earlier, and a few blocks away from the soon-to-be ruckus, another squatty, walled-off office building was the center of a small disturbance. This structure, practically a cube of mirrored glass surrounded closely by brick walls with a small lawn and a gated driveway (which led both to the front of the building and a parking garage entrance in the building's side), had a few heavily armed guards escorting a white monkey to the gate, and off the premises.
Not much was said between them. Any altercation that had occurred was well past, and probably carried out inside the building; Rock, the primate in question, marched quietly through as the exit opened with a buzz and series of clanks. He was soon out on the sidewalk, and walking away, inattentive to the guards' warnings, which included something about not being "permitted on the property," and threats of prosecution, etc., etc. It was all just low noise, beneath the whoosh of passing traffic, casually blaring car horns, and ever-present distant sirens.
Rock strolled past the sign (which read "Arware-Mistar") and toward his waiting accompaniment. Three guesses who would be bright red, following Rock around, and perfectly willing to consort with him on the invasion of a defense contractor.
Though her company couldn't have been gone unreasonably long, every vocal cue of boredom exuded from Layla's slouching posture, distant stare, and wet-noodle-like locomotion. She was quick, however, to recognize the sound of oncoming footsteps, and straightened attentively, offering a grin and a jovial wave to the approaching trio.
Leaping lightly off her perch atop Rock's two-wheeled steed with a disconcerting wobble, she folded her hands in front of her, and dropped her head to an uncharacteristically demure cant.
"Welcome back, dear," she greeted in mock sitcom-homemaker-of-decades-past with a saccharine flutter of her lashes. "Did you have a productive day at work?"
Rock raised his brows a little, but ultimately gave her a deadpan (albeit subtly amused) look, and shook his head. "Not really. I got as much as I could've hoped for," he replied as he stepped up to his rough, primer-grey motorcycle. "Got a look around. Good security and surveillance, but nothin' special—nothin' too much for you to knock out for a while, anyway."
He gripped a handlebar and swung a leg over the seat. Just when he was about to turn the key, a throaty boom came from a couple streets over, rattling through the sidewalk under his feet. It was the kind of explosion that was sort of far away, but still jostled the contents of his stomach, if only a little. He turned and looked over the rooftops, eyes discerningly narrowed as he hunted out the smoke plume.
Police and fire struck sirens were already approaching almost as soon as it had happened.
"... Looks like Mission Street. Do we care?"
With an acknowledging dip of her head at her prospects for subsequent shenanigans, Jam hopped a half step back to allow Rock some mounting berth, just in time to have a rather startling landing. Stumbling clumsily into the side of the bike more out of shock than the mild shake of the ground, Jam clambered astraddle the backseat, with a look of muddled concern and irritation towards the clamor.
"We care enough to rubberneck, at least," she responded succinctly, without any of her usual wisecracks. "Then we can see if we care."

When Coop came out to take a swing at the drone, the small robot lit up and began beeping wildly. Then, without warning, the same spherical shield that had surrounded Rekk would be appearing around Coop between him and the drone. Except, whereas it had saved Rekk from his car blowing up, this time it was acting as a prison for the eagle, with just barely enough room to move around.
If his drone was successful in encapsulating Coop, Rekk would start walking towards him, gun still trained on him.
"Who are you."

As they came to a stop for the llama to send shoulder-cannon barrages at the wall, Archer stepped off of the X-gear when he heard the sentries coming around the corner.
"Let's hurry up with that wall, huh?" He called back to his comrade(for what it's worth) as he reached over his shoulder.
He pulled a couple of solid metal-shafted arrows from his quiver by their fletchings, and pushed them against the string of his bow as he raised it horizontally. He pulled them back as far as he could before letting go, aiming to jam the barrels of their guns with the tip of the arrows as they fired.
He rose the bow vertically as he drew another arrow, pulling it back against the string, and released it toward one of them. This one was different than the last two. It was not a traditional arrowhead. It was cylindrical in shape, and housed a magnetic tip, so it would adhere should the target 'bot fail to evade. Upon further inspection, the base of the arrowhead had a flashing red light. 3 seconds after it's initial adherence, aaaaand...
BOOOM
It was a relatively small explosion, but he was confident it was enough to take one of them out, if not both.

The Llamas glare at the robots in front of her target was lost behind her visor. She half turned to look at Archer as he climbed off the board as she'd pulled to a stop when their path and her target was suddenly blocked. She turned her attention to the bots after archer had started to counter attack. Suddenly she took off, firing once more at the wall behind the robot(s) as she charged at them at full speed. Just shy of reaching them she jumped off the board letting the armored battering ram contend with both the robot (the one Archer hadn't attempted to blow up) and the structurally compromised wall behind.
For a moment she stepped out of the corridor, into one of the cubicles, inside was some poor solider who admirably opened fire at her. Tracer grabbed the gun, twisting it against the wielder until he cried out and let the gun go, She then sent a solid punch into his face with enough force to knock him across the desk and into the computer monitor in a shower of sparks. Satisfied she stepped back into the hall to check on the door she was trying to make.

OOC: Fight. Fight. FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
Coop recoiled from the punch as if shot and bounced off the opposite side of the bubble. After a few staggering steps to regain his balance inside the tight confines of the shield, he stopped.
The mask turned to Rekk slowly.
"Hrm," he replied to the cat's question, his voice slightly muffled by the shield over his face.
"That's... a good question. Do you have any recording equipment with you?" He gestured around vaguely, "like a camera, or... dictaphone? Or something?"
Rekk let out a snort. "A dictaphone? No, I don't think so." He said. His second drone stayed close to the shield it had created while the first stayed behind Rekk.
"I've got a really good memory though. But yo-"
"Ntchyahah," Coop guffawed, abruptly, "yeah, I wouldn't put too much stock in that."
Rekk's expression made it clear he didn't appreciate the interruption. "Look - I'm gonna give you one chance to tell me who you are and what you're doing here or I'm gonna leave you here for G.U.N. to find - and I can assure you they won't be half as gentle with you as I will."
"Hm. Yeah, ok."
Coop flipped up his mask.
"On the off chance you do make it out of here alive," he cleared his throat, "I am with a... separatist... party."
He paused, and gave the cat a look.
"We don't like you," he intoned, delicately.
"We don't like the way your government runs things. We don't like these geniuses either." He rolled his eyes at the G.U.N building around him.
"To be honest, we think a barrel full of Chao could run this country better than you. So..."
He shrugged.
"We're going to try for it."
He flashed Rekk a bright, cheerful grin.
Rekk was silent for a good few seconds. Eventually, he smirked right back at Coop.
"Then that makes this all a lot simpler." He glanced to the robot that was maintaining Coop's prison. "Lo - stay here with him until somebody arrives to take him into custody." He gestured to the other drone to follow him as he walked past Coop.
Coop watched Rekk appraisingly as the cat approached to walk past.
"You know, I'm saving you a lot of trouble," he said quietly.
Rekk paused briefly.
"Assuming I believe you, what's that supposed to mean?"
At this point, Coop pressed the trigger on the device he had been palming. A block of explosive the size of a stick of butter, previously hidden in the rubble, went off.
Rekk's eyes widened as he saw him hit the trigger and he realized just too late that he'd been set up.
The cat and his two drones were blown back into the air - Rekk landed somewhere behind his car and the two drones landed somewhere further away. As for the shield around Coop, it was gone the second the drone was knocked too far away to keep maintaining it - which, rather fortunately for him, probably ended up sparing him any hurt from that explosion he'd just set off.
"Shhhhhiiiiiiii--" Rekk hissed as he got back up. He groped around for his firearm while his ears rang and his vision blurred. He'd been kicking himself for this one for weeks to come if that eagle got away.
Eventually, he gave up on finding his gun and ripped his mace out of his jacket. He activated it and darted back towards Coop, muttering under his breath about all the awful things he'd do in retribution when he caught him.
Coop had punched the air and whooped like a cowboy, dancing around a bit as soon as the shield went down and he could move again.
This quickly wore off at the sight of the Rekk, upright again.
"Hrngh," he mumbled, and then, much louder, "Awww, come on, man! Relax! I told you I was sparing you the trouble, already!"
As the cat approached, Coop dropped down, hunching over until he looked like a big feathered lump on the ground, draped about with leather and kevlar.
Rekk said nothing. As he approached, he took a quick second to make the best approximation of where Coop's head currently was. Then he swung downwards.
At about the same point, one of Coop's arms came up holding a chunk of the building—a lump of metal, about half the size of his gargantuan fist. He threw it at Rekk's chest as hard as he could.
As it was, Rekk's reaction time wasn't in the best state. He tried to continue his swing while turning to avoid the throw - he was half-succesful. His swing continued, but the metal slammed into his chest, knocking the wind out of him and sending him pitching forward. The mace struck Coop's upturned mask and was repelled backwards, Rekk stumbling backawards a step with it.
"TsGGGHHhhZZZzzzsshhaaahAAAHH HAAhhh!"
Coop reeled backwards, clutching at his head. He grunted, and then with a foot back to stabilize himself, lunged forwards again, grabbing at the wrist of the cat's weapon-bearing arm.
Rekk's arm was grabbed before he could counter - rather than try to pull out of Coop's grasp, he threw his free arm over the eagle's arm that was currently holding his and leaped up, throwing a roundhouse kick into his currently unmasked face.
PWANG.
The helmet flew off of Coop's head and landed somewhere behind him, in a pile of burning debris.
As for the Eagle's head itself, not having anywhere to retreat to, it took the full force of the blow.
His head snapped to the left as he took the force of the kick. He staggered backwards, dizzily, still clutching at the cat's arm as he slipped over the buckled floor. His grip loosened, however, from the moment the kick connected with his face.
Blindly, he grabbed at the Rekk's other arm with his other hand, trying to pin the cat.
Rekk ripped his arm free when Coop's grip loosened only for his free arm to be grabbed as soon as he tried to separate himself from the eagle. He pulled his arm, struggling against the eagle's grip.
After a few seconds of this, there was a rather familiar loud beeping and a large blue bubble appeared around both the cat and the eagle. Both of Rekk's drones hovered in the air within the bubble, just above the two combatants.
Rekk pushed forward and swung his mace at the eagle's stomach, aiming to send him right back into the repulsive wall waiting behind him.
Coop had stumbled blindly around on the floor, still grabbing onto Rekk's arm like grim death while the stars slowly cleared from his eyes.
Doubled over, he only barely saw the mace coming at him. He swung an arm up, blindly, to bat the weapon away while he desperately tried to regain footing.
Rekk's arm was knocked away, and he appeared to lose his balance for a second, but it quickly became apparent that he was lifting his leg to stomp at Coop's arm and knock it away, before taking another swing at the eagle's side.
Coop's arm took the blow with very little complaint, bending a bit under the kick, before straightening out again. The eagle grunted in pain.
Then grunting turned into wroth, as, with a tremendous yell, Coop stood upright, hoisting the cat up by the arm, to swing him upwards into the glowing, shining ceiling.
As the two were mere inches from the ceiling and what was sure to be a painful reversal for Rekk, the bubble shimmered for a second and then simply...vanished. With no ceiling to hit, the two continued into the air. Rekk planted his foot in Coop's chest and with a grunt of exertion, attempted to shove off/jump away from the eagle and back down to the ground.
As the cat jerked away from him, Coop could feel the cat's arm slipped out from his fingers.
With another yell of frustration, he let the cat go, and ran forward at him, to catch him as he landed.
As he ran, one of his massive arms brushed the ground, and scooped up the grenade launcher from the ground. With a flick of his wrist, he had snapped the empty weapon shut again, about at the same time he reached where Rekk was going to land.
Just before Rekk fell into catching distance, that beeping started up again and a small shield appeared around Coop, separating the two. Rekk hit the top of the shield and rolled off, slamming into the ground.
"HRNFH!"
Coop faced off the inside of the shield bubble. He bounced off the other side of the shield, and bounced down it, arriving heavily on the ground.

The robots were momentarily flummoxed as their guns singularly failed to operate. Flummoxation turned into outright distress however, as both of them subsequently lost the use of their arm. Gun compartments ruptured and backfired, causing more guns and circuit boards to melt together in a horrible chain reaction that worked its way all the way up their arms. In consternation they tried to eject the self-destructing components from their shoulders. There efforts were rendered moot, however, by the exploding arrow, which blew both of them up except for half of one of them, which was carried through a wall by Tracer's hoverboard, into a nearby office, some ten feet away.
The wall tracer was trying to bore through was a dripping, stringy, crumbling mass of molten metal with a hole through the center, through which a brilliant, sterile white light shone. Through the hole could be heard yelling and frantic movement. The alarms that had been sounding before grew to a deafening volume, as they were no longer contained by the inner wall of the building.
There was clunk, barely heard in the chaos. It was followed by a kind of 'wugga-wugga-wugga' noise.
Rolling to a stop, about ten feet out from the hole, was a frag grenade that someone had very graciously thrown to them from the other side. It was an excellent: carefully machined, bright, and a covered with a spanking new coat of fresh green paint. The only thing missing was the pin.

She glanced down at the grenade that popped through the hole in the wall, Tracer honestly wasn't worried about it, but her reaction was almost instant. It came through and she immediately gave it a gentle kick right back into the hole it'd popped out of. It exploded as it was always designed to on the side of the hole it originated from. In the smoke Tracer leapt through the doorway.
She didn't have the element of surprise, so she used what she had, the limited smoke cover may work on the people in the room, the the turrets would she her as the big hot ball of armor she was. So she immediately targeted the ones closest. Her shoulder armor folded opened and the rockets inside launched and scattered, each going in a different direction to go and bring about some good old destruction.

The rockets screaming around the interior of the building did nothing to improve the level of noise, which was now ranging into the threshold of literally deafening noise as the turrets on the walls, heavy mini-guns, spun up and began tears strips of the floor up as they slowly swiveled to meet their target.
Within a few moments, a third of the interior had shut down; one of the rockets had struck a wall behind which a heavy power cable was running. The lights flickered and blinked madly as current began to surge through the metal walls and floor.
Then a breaker activated somewhere, and the disabled section of the interior room had shut down for good. 5 other turrets had been disabled by rockets, leaving around seven behind, which were now firing directly at the llama. It was fairly obvious however, from the way they had trouble finding her before, that there was a certain amount of delay between their scan of the room and their affixing to any target, so anyone keeping light on their toes would have a good chance of staying ahead of them.
From down the hall, outside of the inner area, a squad of soldiers--better prepared and in better gear, hunched up around the next corner in the twisting perimeter hallway, and, without much ado, began raining more bullets down upon the two attackers.

Not much later, the motorcycled carrying the two curious bystanders rolled through the blasted-open gate, up the path, and stopped on the debris-littered front walk. They had arrived before the emergency crews—A convenience that was, since they'd have surely been held back by the police line.
"Rekk's car," blurted Rock flatly as he hastily dismounted not far from the burning wreckage and took a peek inside the shattered passenger window. He waved some smoke away from his face as he then backed off, and turned toward the building itself.
It would hardly be necessary to vocalize the transition from inspecting to caring, once Jam practically leapt from her seat before the vehicle could even come to any sort of complete stop.
On the driver's side, the punch red primate scurried around the once proud sedan's hood, igniting her shield as seamlessly as blinking, and stopped short just at her habitual point man's heels.
"Just checking, but we don't have a plan, right?"
By which she of course meant, 'have you come up with anything in the two seconds we've been here?'
"Help cautiously," replied the white primate as he took off for the front door of the building. "Don't expect any troops to know whose side we're on 'til we make it clear, so shield up."
It only took seconds to arrive at the brawl between Rekk and the burly bird. He jogged up, hopping rubble and ducking collapsed beams, and arrived just in time to see that the assailant had apparently been trapped, but that the chief wasn't looking all too hot for having accomplished the task.
He could hear that there was still a ruckus further ahead. His greeting could have been more compassionate, but Rekk was the kind of guy to understand why he would first ask: "Rekk. This facility—is this where you're keepin' it?"
He wasn't going to say what 'it' was, just on the off chance the attackers didn't know what they were busting into.

"Nrrrgh..." Was the only response Rock got at first as Rekk pushed himself back up. He wasn't badly injured, but bouncing off his own shield wasn't a very pleasant sensation. He looked up, spotting Rock and Jam.
"Yyyeah." He muttered, placing a hand to his head. "This is where it is - there's more inside. At least two. They're separatists." He shook his head. "Dunno how they found out."

"Hrrrrgh," the massive pile of feathers in the middle of the force bubble appeared to stir. Coop worked himself to his feet and awkwardly forced himself upright, pushing slowly off his knees.
He looked up at the, now three of them, for a moment with a wary look, before it was replaced with one of slightly ragged amusement.
"Oh, good," he said, "more of you."
He knocked on the inside of the shield. There was a 'zpak' noise as his knuckles bounced off it.
Rubbing his fingers gently, he looked around the inside of the shield for a few moments before spying something, he reached down to pick it up and returned with the grenade launcher. As he began watching, he carefully opened the launcher with one hand while his other searched absently around in one of the pouches on his bandolier. He removed a grenade and inserted it into the back of the barrel, and then flipped the whole contraption shut again.

Rock was collecting equipment off of a fallen troop while Rekk explained. The guy looked like he was still breathing, but he wasn't going to be shooting a gun anytime soon.
"Separatists," he grunted with an incredulous shake of his head as he ejected the magazine out of the carbine, reinserted it, and drew back the bolt just a little to check the chamber. "Th' hell they think this is, some deep-ass jungle hut?" he asked rhetorically with a dirty look at the bird. "Got enough to worry about without some guerrilla garbage." He fired a quick, one-handed, jarringly-loud test shot off toward a random potted plant just to make sure it was functional, then lined his cargo pockets with three more mags, hung two frags his belt, and started down the hall.
"Radio ahead and tell'em not to shoot the monkeys. I'll bring back some heads for y'office wall."

Coop appeared to be chewing on something unpleasant. His jaw shifted from side to side, slowly.
He blew out a slow breath, and shifted his loaded weapon to rest at his side.

Rekk shot a look at Coop, and paused. He wanted to go with them, but he couldn't leave this guy alone...
His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of an engine roaring as a jeep pulled up next to the flaming wreck that used to be Rekk's car. A group of heavily armed human troops filtered out, and Rekk immediately turned his attention to them as if he'd known the transport was coming in advance.
"This eagle's a separatist - and he's the one who broke in. I'm leaving it up to you to get him in custody. He still has friends inside - me and these two are going inside to deal with them." He said, briefly gesturing to Jam and Rock. Upon receiving assent from the troops, he turned to his drone who was still containing Coop. "Lo, stay with them." The drone bobbed in a way that indicated assent.
He then turned to Rock and Jam. "Let's go. I'm taking point."
