I also had one that made me think of Jam, but I can't remember it now and it's bugging me. If I remember, I'll post it here.

Here's one that'll be open season for Greens:

First: Name songs that you've used as themes for your character in the past. Stuff that used to fit but doesn't anymore, or stuff that you just don't include presently because it isn't good "theme" material but that still fits the character in some way, or anything of the sort.

I will start this off.

Rock had "All These Things That I've Done" by the Killers. I don't use it because I think it's a little too popular, weighty and dramatic to claim it as a character theme (maybe four or five rungs below choosing "Hero" on the scale of too-muchery [which I have actually seen someone do]), but I still like it. It has fit more at some times than others.

Rock & Jam together had "You're All I Have" by Snow Patrol. Used to be eerily specific, right down to its lion references. (Yo, Jabari.) Not as applicable, but there's still sentiment.



And lastly, name songs that you've considered for the future.

I thought about Foo Fighters' "No Way Back." It feels like things may be headed toward thrusting Rock into doing heroics that he doesn't really wanna do, with the usual lack of any credit or recognition, possibly working with (or rivalrously against) some people he doesn't really like, all under very dangerous circumstances. Aaand, he'll probably end up doing it despite all that just 'cause he'll consider it the right thing. And the song reflects that sort of well hell let's go attitude, I think.
