Updates Sonic Spindash RP is closed.Founded 05/25/2002 by three friends; ended 09/19/2012.
It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.
Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.
I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.
I love you guys. God bless.

Things have been a little rough in this last thread. We've had a lot of characters mashed together and, like with virtually any style of RP, keeping facts straight is a little difficult. I want to make it known that I am aware of the plight, and the general difficulty of keeping facts straight, posting, getting noticed by other characters, etc., and I'm not just sitting on my hands saying "deal with it" or anything.
I'm not entirely sure what we're going to do about it yet, but what I think the first step is to get these characters divided up into two or more groups. Honestly, I wouldn't mind three groups, or even more, if the opportunity arose and there were enough characters with the proactive nature required to drive their sides of the story. I'm not suggesting hokey-butt Sonic Heroes teams or anything, but just... trying to forge some sort of character bonds, and relationships, friendships, general associations, stuff like that. The cast needs a reason to stick together, but not in such a large, tumultuous mass of pandemonium.
So, here's a thought. Be considering who it'd be fun to have your character grouped up with for a while. It's like one of those moments when you're forming parties in an RPG. Nothing is concrete, and things will change and flow organically, I'm sure, but for now, I think it'd help to pitch some people together and get them out there on the move, having their own little adventure.
As for what's going to happen next: We're at a bit of a turning point in the story. There are a few options on the table, and I'm trying to decide how much of a plot twist (or lack thereof) I want to smash the story with. Part of it may require a player for a new character. I'm not sure who to turn to for this, or if it's something I might need to handle for a little while, but if you're feeling adventurous (and maybe a little antagonistic), and think you have the free time to handle a character everybody will want to beat up on, sling me an IM and we'll talk.
