In the middle of struggling for his footing and avoiding swings from an unfriendly lug wrench, Ace was lucky enough to not be blinking when a friggin' lightning ball zoomed past his head. There was a few awkward seconds spent simply eying the cat's handywork before the other decided to stop wasting time and kickoff punt the thugs forehead in. With any luck, that would keep him out of the picture for a while. If he was that lucky, then hey. He crouched down as well as he could and swiped the wrench for his own. Why not? Ace of course didn't appreciate his new title, considering he was the only one in the closet who wasn't tearing up in his corner of fatalism, but Wyatt was lucky enough to show off what he could do. Might as well drag him along, if he'd make himself useful. "Well, look who's good for somethin' after all," he chided. It wasn't hard to put two and two together. Kid used electricity, kid needed more. Too bad Ace couldn't gather for him what wasn't there. And no way he was going on a wild goose chase when the world was falling apart around them. "C'mon! There's some-- circuit breakers or whatever near the closet door," he indicated with a jerk of his neck in the proper direction. "If you can't get to them now, we're worm food, you get me?" |

Wyatt nodded slowly. He reached for a wall for support and tried in vain to pick himself up. He almost had it, before his already shaking legs gave way. He thudded back to the floor. "P-please... I... I can't... could you...?" he whimpered, holding out his hand in hopes of assistance. |

"The %$*# do you want me to do!?" he replied, incredulous. "Rip it outta the wall and lay it down with a big red bow on top?" He jingled the shackles on his feet and hands. "In case you haven't noticed, I'm a little tied up here!" |

Wyatt growled lowly. "@$$hole..." he grumbled. "Alright then..." he slowly began dragging himself along the floor with his arms at a snail's pace, the whole time grumbling curses under his breath aimed at his new companion. finally, after what seemed like an eternity, he'd made it outside the cell. For a few moments he had to clench his eyes shut to the new, blinding light after being couped up in the cell for weeks. Once he opened them, he saw the electrical box on the wall and smiled triumphantly. Once again he tried to claw his way up the wall, and was somewhat successful. He leaned heavily against the cold stone and reached forward. He fumbled with the latch for a moment and then flung open the door. "Let's see... the main power line... ah-ha!" he cried. He reached into the box, grabbed a large, black wire, tore off a section of the rubber coating with his teeth, then gripped the copper. Suddenly, a strange blue aura formed around his whole body, and static electricity radiated out of him as he absorbed power from the main power line to the complex. This caused the lights to momentarily flicker. Once he was fully charged, the aura disappeared, and he felt reborn! With all of his former strength returned, he cheered. "WOOHOO!" he yipped. He did a backflip and punched twice on landing. He smirked maliciously. It was time to make them pay... |

Casey's gunfire finally halted as the smoke cleared and he realized he had nothing to shoot at. There was a tense moment where he jittered, jerked, whipped his head from side to side, snapped his gun's sights from direction to direction, and generally looked like he was a bug-eyed psycho ready to shoot the next thing that took a foul step. But, then, he relaxed a little, and took some sort of satisfaction in his handiwork. "Careful, Latika," he said lowly, but loudly enough to be heard over the approaching noises. "We—" Somehow, he heard a familiar voice shout. It was improbable that he would, really, with all that was going on, but he could have sworn he heard Ace... well, swearing somewhere down a nearby corridor. Squinting with immense discretion, and treading onward with all the stealth a huge pig loaded to capacity with ammo could muster, he went toward the voices only to get blown up by a proximity mine. THFLAM. That was sudden. The crisp burst of Archer's small explosive charge sounded less like a bomb and more like a really, really gnarly gunshot, but did a magnificent job all the same of sending the hog barreling onto his back and sliding across the debris-laden tile floor. The lack of any shrapnel in such a small charge left him less injured than one would expect from walking straight into something like that. It helped that his gunarm had been raised just so in front of him so as to take a lot of the blast. ... Uh oh. As he sat up, disoriented, scorched, and with his head ringing and vision twirling, he soon realized that his one trump card was no longer in operable condition. He could have sworn he said something nasty about it, but couldn't hear himself over the bweeeeeeeeeee in his ears. |

As Archer bolted down the corridor, he found himself entering the area that Ace was in a little bit ahead of Tracer. He gripped his bow, which snapped out of it's folding position as his eyes darted around the room. Oh, good. Ace was still chained. But who was this dude in red? He was not aware of him, but he didn't look like any of Li Fang's thugs. Just banged up, and not naturally ugly. Of course, using his awesome powers of observation. Namely, one thug down, dude draining the power ready to hurt someone, and two thugs who were still standing probably ready to retaliate. Mix it all together, and you get Static Swine is a foe. "Hey!" He shouted at Wyatt, "It's still four against one, buddy. Don't get pumped just yet." No, he was not taking into account the rescuers that were rapidly approaching. |

Tracer could hardly process what was happening. Not only had the prisoners got out of their cell, but the worthless thugs tasked with gardening them where just standing there gawking, like they couldn't believe captives would try to escape. Her eyes narrowed and the cannon on her shoulder shifted into the ready position. It was a narrow hall and she had a better chance then not to shoot at least one of the cats. Though she was aiming for the red one, as his arms and legs weren't currently chained together. *BBZZZRT* Chaos energy roared from the cannon aimed at the feline's body. |

Wyatt crossed his arms and rolled his eyes. "Wow, four guys on a single fourteen year old! Aren't you so tough!" he said sarcastically. He noticed Tracer. "And just who the hell are you supposed to be?! If you haven't noticed already, I am NOT in the mood for bull sh-..." his rant was cut off by the sight of the massive weapon. "S&%$!" he shouted in surprise as the chaos blast shot at him. He only managed to bring up his hand and flip Tracer the bird before it struck dead in the chest. He was hurled all the way to the other end of the hall, where he tumbled end over end and slammed into the wall. He groaned and rolled over onto his stomach. He felt a cyndrilical object at his fingertips. He slowly opened one eye. Though his vision was blurred by pain, he could make out the shape of... A baseball bat... HIS BASEBALL BAT! He grabbed the handle, which had black grip tape wraped around it, and checked the fat end. Sure enough, the signature of Rodriguez the Jaguar gleamed at him. He smiled, then rolled onto his back and jacknifed up to his feet. He twirled the bat with experienced fingers before letting it fall on his shoulders in a batting stance. As he held the bat with his right hand, his left hand stuck out and formed a low power heater. Two could play at the cheap-shot-big-gun game! "Batter up..." he snickered with his trademark smirk. He tossed the heater in the air and brought his bat back. He swung as hard as he could, sending the glowing ball of blue electricity screaming at Tracer's face faster than he could ever throw it. |

Seeing a huge mess of heavily armed guys was enough to spook even the wolverine. Thankfully, no one immediately noticed her and pumped her full of hot lead. Still, feeling exposed, she stepped to the side and took cover behind a pillar and a couple of small crates. Crouched, she peered around the side. I thought these tunnels were abandoned... They musta took over and fixed it up, built their own transport ring... Pretty cool, she thought. However, Tyra was at a loss. Being completely unarmed and outnumbered put her at a slight disadvantage, and getting gunned down like an idiot half the world away from her home wasn't her idea of fun. From this distance, it was hard to tell who these guys were with. The lighting wasn't so good, and from the few who were chatting, she couldn't hear too well. Suddenly, there was a loud burst of static that echoed off the tunnel walls. The wolverine was quick to spot the source: standing off by himself was a vanilla-colored mouse in clean black suit and aviators, the neck of a yellow sweater peaking out of the collar of the jacket. In his hands, he fiddled with a black walkie-talkie, the source of the noise. Tyra narrowed her eyes. Her hands clenched into fists on their own when the mouse began to speak into the transceiver. "I'm hearing explosions and gunfire out there. I need word on what's happening," he demanded in a low, stern voice. "We're not finished with the loading and I do not want a firefight anywhere near here. Respond." |

The two thugs who were supposed to have been keeping Ace and Wyatt under lockdown seemed to only get their nerve back once Tracer and Archer showed up and started fighting. Neither were armed, but nonetheless, they began to close in on the two cats, grinning excitedly and looking cautiously aggressive like only true, cowardly riff-raff like them could. Whether or not Tracer and Archer's backup would be worth anything remained to be seen, but there they were. They'd both bum-rush Ace, one jumping forward and kicking brutishly, and the other launching in with a broadly-telegraphed haymaker. *** "It's them, from the train," replied a strongly-accented voice over the radio. "The gun-pig is here, but he is done shooting. We will take care of them without any 'firefight.'" Right around that time, Casey, Latika, and whoever else had joined them would hear numerous, swift footsteps approaching. A sizable group of at least twelve charming-looking guys and gals had hustled in and abruptly stopped not far away. They were dressed... pretty normally. Some of the gruffer guys didn't bother much with excess clothes (see Mako Fashion), while others looked a little thuggish, and at least a couple more looked sharply dressed for some kind of party, with suits and even dresses. What they shared in common, however, was that they all had a weapon. A couple had brass knuckles, several had clubs, one had a bo, others had chain weapons, at least one had a machete, and another rather terrifyingly came armed with a cleaver. The apparent leader of the group stepped forward. He looked... a lot like Li Fang in the face, really, and was probably a close relative—a flying dragon lizard, his scaly skin a rich golden color, clad with a neat, mandarin-collared, long-length navy coat. In his right hand, he clutched what looked like a bundle of three short sticks. The short bits of chain connecting them jingled quietly as he strode forward. It had suddenly become a Chunese action flick. |

Tracer wasn't one to stand around and allow the feline to pull himself together. She launched herself down the hallway, which is to say she lunged after him, her boosters firing and carrying the llama to full speed as she charged down the hall. It wasn't a very long hall when booking it at full speed. The cat was still getting up when she reached him, and Tracer didn't slow, she slammed a heavy, armored, fast moving knee into the feline. The wall behind the feline would not fair the blow well, given Tracers raw power and the speed of her attack the stone would crack and brick dust would fly into the air around the pair. If she managed to hit the former captive, Tracer had little doubt she would given his position, she would immediately follow the initial blow by attempting to grab a limb (likely an arm) and use it to rip him from the wall she just put him in and try to slam him into the ground beside her. The cold llama didn't care if she dislocated his arm, or broke his ribs, it was clear she intended to keep the feline from ever becoming a problem. |

Latika didn't even have time to shriek her concern for Casey; she'd not even gotten a full syllable of his name out simultaneous to his union with the floor when quite suddenly stifled by the abruptly crowded state of the room. The loris gulped inaudibly, shrinking back from the advancing group, yet staying as close to the boar as possible. "請稍候," she cried shrilly, addressing the group with her open palms up and in front of her. "我們的意思是沒有壞處." |

As much as Archer would have loved to add to Tracer's beam attack, she was already charging toward him before the bowman could grab an arrow. He reached half-way over his shoulder before pausing, and watching the mayhem. She seemed to have the situation well in-hand. At least for the time being. Instead, he shot a cautious glance backward. The invading group seemed to be slowed, at least. At the moment, all he could do was wait for an opportunity to strike. There was a dogpile on Ace, and Tracer was laying into the other cat like a boss. |
