It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

This got the cloaked assailant's attention real quick. He immediately ceased what he was doing and raised his hands where they could be seen.

"As a matter of fact, I do fancy keeping my blood." He quipped as he turned his head to look over his shoulder as best he could.

Any hopes they had of stalling the abductors by taking this one captive were soon dashed as the light and noise, which had been decreasing, vanished altogether into the night.

The satisfaction Jack got from landing her knee on the attacker was short lived when he managed to block her follow up. The headbutt was a wound to her pride, Jack wobbled back with a hand on her head as Dureau stepped in. When he spoke she blinked slowly and looked up at the white knight, a smirk creeping across her features as she took out her cuffs, and proceeded to restrain their captive. Of course disarming him and taking away his belt and quiver in the process.

Finally, when Jack pulled the mask off the culprit she was shocked for a moment, having reveled the pale red deer she'd met on West Side Island not long ago.

"You!" She hissed at him throwing down the mask. Jack was furious, but not so much at the deer, but at herself. If she'd managed to capture him the first time she encountered him, he wouldn't be here now, kidnapping people.

As soon as the situation seemed to be reasonably under control, Dureau limped (albeit sternly) to an electric lamp at Deverell's nightstand and gave its chain a tug. "You know him?" he asked, eying suspiciously the antlered abductor's now-illuminated face.

The rest of the room told its own story, though. Wrecked, with things overturned, the two thrown swords swayed in the window sill. Absolutely frigid wind blew in, puffing out curtains and stirring up plaster dust, which had fallen from a single bullet hole in the ceiling. Grimly, there was some blood, though the trail seemed to follow Dureau. The weapon that made both holes was lying on the floor—it was Jack's revolver! If she examined it, she would find it warm (clearly just fired), with two of the cylinder's six cartridges spent. It was still in perfectly good condition.

As it were, firing an Oil Slick arrow was probably the smartest thing their masked attacker could do, as no sooner did he action roll out of the way did Tank (perhaps pre-emptively) planned for a fantastic, lunchadore-spectacular moonsault body press against this arrow-based antagonist. But since there was suddenly oil in place of hard, dry, and charmingly quaint old wood, what should have been a terrific leap of skill became a clumsy looking trip-up, and Tank tumbled back as if he had stepped on a stray banana peel. Not only that, but he had the misfortune of landing on his shell.

...And he stayed like that for a while, squirming and writhing in place, getting no further than what looked like some pathetic, avant garde oil-based breakdance, and eventually just gave up picking himself up once he'd realized the brunt of the altercation was over. A look of embarassed distaste had been etched upon his be-masked face as he patiently (and silently, for the time being) waited for a helping hand.

"Hey." Said the antlered prisoner said, looking at his restraints, and then the somewhat familiar griffin.

"Yeah, we had a dance once..." He said looking over at Dureau, "Wasn't really anything special, don't worry." His eyes then moved back to Jack as an expression of curiosity hit him, "Just my rotten luck that two jobs in a row, I run into you. Don't you ever take a break?"

Jack looked around slowly as the deer yammered about their last encounter. Something Jack tried not to think about given the casualties at the event. But for the time being she disregarded the deer to take stock of the situation.

"As far as I'm concerned, this is as close as I get to vacationing." Jack replied honestly to the criminal's question.

This was clearly Deverell's room, he must of been who was taken. She noticed her six shooter, the bullet holes then finally. "Dureau, are you gonna be alright?" She sounded worried, but calm as she approached the ermine, inspecting his leg.

"I'll be fine," he replied plainly, still glowering at their captive. By this point, the baron had knelt and laid his sword on the floor, and was trying to tend to his wound with what was immediately available, tying his leg with a handkerchief he pulled off a dresser. "I'm most concerned with finding out where his collaborators took Deverell. I'm sure he can tell us."

The blow from the bow left a wide-awake Ember with a throbbing lump on her head. Embarrassed, she picked herself up and rubbed at the lump. Not what she expected to happen. Noticing the heroic turtle trapped on his back, she gave a small chuckle.

"Here dude," she said as she made her way over, "Need some help?" Offering her hand towards him, she grinned. "Guess turtles do get stuck."

The detained deer looked between the griffin and ermine with a cant of his head. Then the reason for his capture came out. He smirked slyly.

"I didn't survive this long from squeeling like a pig." He said before looking at Jack, "No offense." But of course, when he said that, he looked all too amused.

"You also clearly didn't get captured in a place that still practices drawing and quartering, foreigner," the baron was quick to retort, standing once more, blade in hand. "Consider this fair warning: you will now begrudge to tell us what you know in exchange for kind treatment as a prisoner," he continued absolutely grimly, in a tone not prior witnessed by any present, "or you will later beg to tell the court's torturer in exchange for nothing more than the merciful release of death. We do not suffer your kind here."

The sheriffs eyes went wide when the baron explained the deers fate. She only looked shocked for a moment, the expression slowly shifted until Jack stared down at the deer with nothing shy of pity. She tilted her head to the side when the baron finished, offering an uneasy smile at his prospects in the local law system.

"I don't reckon they pay you near enough fer that." She pointed out.

What was formerly a coy expression of uncooperativeness quickly transformed into bewilderment. His eyes went wide for a moment and his jaw hung open as if unsure what to say. His eyes darting toward Jack as she spoke of the monetary side of things. A side which he held very close to his heart.

Torture wasn't fun. He's seen his fair share, and experienced it in small portions. Not something he liked to revisit when possible. Certainly not today. He finally regained his composure and visibly gulped.

"Uh...Okay, you win. They're being taken to Eirwen's Gorge."

The baron stopped. He didn't have much reaction at the answer, other than to slowly nod.

"That isn't terribly far," he observed. "We could get there by foot in an hour or two if we move quickly—and be back just as soon if he's lying."

The old castle did have a dungeon, and he did intend to use it.

"Great." Jack said, urging the kidnapper along with a shove. the sheriff herded her captive towards the door, pausing to pick up her gun and ask Dureau-"Where do I put'em?"

She wasn't aware of the dungeon. And it was pretty obvious everyone needed time to get themselves decent, or in Dureau's case get some first aid. She glanced at his wound before looking the Ermine in the eye again, clearly she was concerned, but would take his word on how he was holding up. "You reckin' we can get there this timeah night?"
