> Airi does not quite understand the modern world, considering she had never been to it. In fact, unless you count going for a swim, she has never even left the island! Her village (for lack of a better word) resides on bamboo structures that are much like the ones found on Adabat. Having never a taste of the real world she could be called rather nieve. Which would be blatantly true. But Airi does have a sense of adventure. One of her biggest dreams is to travel the world and learn about what else is out there like the travel magazine her father brought home one day for her from a trade he did in Adabat.

She has an almost annoying optimistic look on life, almost always happy and thankful for something. Granted even she has her moments where she is sad or angry, but they are few and far between. Why would she be sad if she is alive and has two feet to walk on?

Her eyes are a sky-blue with some pale blue freckles underneath them. Her arms and base of her tail are speckled lightly with grey. She wears a dark blue one-piece jumpsuit that ends just above her knees. Airi usually does not wear shoes because they irritate her, but when she does they are dark purple sandals. She has white gloves that cut off at the knuckle so that her webbed fingers have room to move. Along wrists are two translucent rings, one green and the other blue. A clam shell is always worn around her neck, though most of the time it is under her clothes.

Meet Latika, a character recently added to our RP.

She's from a faraway, isolated island village in Adabat Chun-nan. She's extremely curious of other cultures, and is now on a sort of traveling adventure across the world, leaving her home for the first time. She too tends to assail people with questions about their homeland and culture. And, she too dislikes shoes, and tends to wear sandals when necessary.

While she does not share similar abilities or appearance, the "plucky and curious foreign girl from an Asian-esque country featured in Sonic Unleashed" niche is pretty well filled by her, and would make both her and your character a lot less unique if we suddenly doubled up on it like this. (I don't think her RPer would appreciate the addition of a very "samey" character such as this, either.)

She lives in a series of islands that are within rowing distance to each other but not necessarily anywhere else. Because of their tropical fish, shells and sea glass that wash up every now and then they have become a huge trading hotspot. Well, huge is a relative term. Not many people know of the islands,but this is not to say they don't get trades. Only some homes have electricity however, usually the upper class. Airi belongs to the lower middle class, the working class if you will.

Because of this she knows how to work hard labor, though for her since it is fishing she finds it rather enjoyable. but it can be a pain when you have to watch your little sisters as well (one ten the other thirteen). As with most older siblings she loves the little buggers to death, but matured a little quicker than most because of her sisters. Life is not easy there either, there is a lot of work to be done for her family to get food on the table. It isn't bad though.

Airi dreams of getting away from the islands and learning about the world she just discovered in the pages of a travel magazine her father got for her for free in a trade. Ever since she has been waiting for a friendly someone to come along so she could go back with them to their world and be allowed to explore. Airi talks a lot, probably more than necessary, especially around strangers. She gets nervous around people she does not know, so when she is with them she tends to babble and get of course of her conversation. Though it is something she is working hard on now, but it will take practice.
