What is your character's name? >Dakota the Collie Species? >Collie Age? >27 Give us a couple paragraphs of general info about your character. For example, what's the character's personality like? What kind of things does he or she do? Why does he or she do it? (Please don't give us your character's point-by-point life history, though.) >Dakota is a bag of mixed nuts, you might say. Like a dog, he is loyal, eager to please, and unwaivering in his convictions. Yet on the other hand, he is extremely stubborn, annatycal, and tends to go off in his own direction. He's also extremely cocky is some situations, which tends to get him in more trouble than he bargained for. He craves adventure, much to his parents' dismay. For this reason, he joined G.U.N. as a field agent, which helps him feed his hunger. Aside from work he enjoys parties, drinking, gambling, fast cars, faster women, being with friends, visiting family, and tormenting his older sister by giving his two nephews some new (possibly dangerous) gadget each Christmas. Does your character have any skills or special abilities, a gimmick, or anything that makes it stand out as an athlete or fighter? If so, talk a little about it here. Be sure to include an explanation or origin story for anything unusual, extraordinary, or supernatural. > Dakota has gone through the Basic G.U.N. training, as well as advanced courses in such fields as stealth, espionage, and psychological warfare. While his job is mostly information gathering, he is profecient in such disciplines as krav Maga and Brazilian Jui Juitsu. On top of that, he keeps a fixed blade knife up his left sleeve, though he uses it only as a utility tool in most cases. If more firepower is needed, he can pick up weapons from fallen enemies or airdrops. So, if the order comes through to act aggresively, he's more than ready. Does your character have any purpose? (It's okay if you don't have this fully figured out yet, but all the better if your character does have an agenda or some sort of driving force to it to make it interact with other characters.) >(Sorry if this is incorrect, I only have a basic understanding of the storyline.) As one of the few surviving G.U.N. agents in the world, Dakota's mission has been to find out more about Chimera, who they are, what their goal is, and who their major players are if possible. He has been authorized to use any means necesary to accomplish his mission. Does your character have an image? Consider yourself clear to start making a wiki profile. There are just a few caveats. 1. This seems like a very James Bond-y character. I've observed over the years that such characters often share one big, glaring literary problem: The dreaded "ass-pull." This means these characters tend to always "happen" to have whatever item or skill it is they need at any given moment (without any foreshadowing), or always "happen" to find precisely whatever they need nearby. As long as you avoid this by thinking ahead, listing whatever equipment and skills he has in his profile, and being a little realistic, we're gravy. (GUN is in pretty sorry shape in our current story arc, too, so don't count on timely "airdrops" happening often, either.) 2. No offense, but as according to the rules, we don't put MS Paint art on the wiki. You may have to go without an image for the time being and instead write an appearance description. 3. Be careful not to infringe on any other G.U.N. characters that have already been submitted. I only say this because yours seems like he might be a "gadgeteer" sort, and, really, that's fine, but just don't suddenly make him a computer expert or give him some kind of Bond-tastic auto-hacking-device-thing, lest you encroach on someone else. Anywho, here you are: Wiki article started. Dakota Your forum login works for the wiki as well. If you have any difficulties with the wiki, let somebody know and we'll be happy to help. (Also, let us know when you're done so we know when to tag it, approve it, and all that good stuff, so you can get goin' in the RP.) Oh, and be sure to pop into the chat sometime and meet folks! It's pretty much the only easy way to get involved (The chat has had a little downtime lately, but I think it's actually working now.) Edit: New member proved unwilling to read the rules and idled out after failing to finish his profile on the wiki. |
