> Marcus Gale, but like all the cool kids he has a nickname. He goes by Mako.

What's your character's personality like? Write a paragraph or two of general info about your character.
> Laid back and inoffensive, Mako is a pretty chill guy-- in fact, you'd be hard pressed to push him into working too hard about anything, whether it's getting worked up over some slight or offense, or, uh, working (which explains why he has trouble holding a job down). More likely to sit back and laugh it off than punch anyone in the face, people often make the mistake that he's harmless-- after all, he is a shark, not a species with a reputation for being huggy and cuddly. There's not a lot he hates more than people getting in his face and acting high-and-mighty, but he tends to react more often with sarcasm and more passive-aggressive defenses, but if Mako feels that something is going wrong (and indeed he does have a decent sense of right and wrong), he's willing to get up and kick some gluteus maximus.
It seems, however, that once he gets worked up and in the mood to fight, it's hard to get him back to normal. Hard to work up and hard to wind down, he's got a lot of emotional interia, which may be why he doesn't like to get worked up too often.
He likes to meet new people and "check out" new places, and he likes trying new things-- and he's not afraid to admit it when he goofs them up (something involving an airbike-- so much as the word causes him to cringe and then laugh it off). It's how he deals with most things, in fact-- a good-natured laughing it off. He doesn't let anyone or anything bring him down-- it's as though he doesn't know what the word "embarrassment" means. Willing to take a good jab at himself for the sake of a laugh, Mako may have a part of him that really just wants to fit in and be liked... but he'd rather go out and explore some weird cave and poke things with sticks than dwell on it.
Cheery and good-natured for the most part, though a bit sarcastic from time to time, the shark is one cool dude and is fairly easy to get along with-- as long as you avoid getting him worked up.
Does your character have any skills or special abilities, a gimmick, or anything that makes it stand out as an athlete or fighter? If so, talk a little about it here.
Mako is hardly the most remarkable athlete-- on land. Underwater is a completely different story. Capable of impressive underwater maneuvers and agility, he just has to hope he can drag anyone he needs to fight into the nearest body of water. Able to spend indefinite amounts of time submerged (after all, he is a shark), he's had time to train. All his time underwater has given him decent muscles in his legs, arms, and tail, though this usually counteracted by his relative clumsiness on the ground... but as soon as he's submerged, he's doing elaborate twists and loops just for the fun of it.
Fairly quick underwater and agile under the surface... truly, he's at his best, and among the best, under the water -- which admittedly is a relatively small pool (har har) of candidates, but still.
Also, he's willing to try anything, and as such he's got a wide variety of poorly-honed skills-- enough to improv his way out of a situation, at least. Sure, he may fall off every vehicle he tries to ride, manage to whack himself in the head with a baseball bat (and then the ball itself), and electrocute himself through some bizare means, but you have to give him points for trying, right? ... right?

In one sentence, "I wanna see cool stuff!". Mako lives for the little joys in life, and wants nothing more than to explore, meet new people, and see new things. Oh, he's heard all the stories about the big-shot heroes and hedgehogs on the television, and sure, he'd like a part in the action if he can get it, but until then, he's content to wander off into the woods, poke things, and see what happens. He wants to discover, even if he doesn't always do it the most... cautiously.
