The computer didn't seem to buy it for a second, but the Egg Mobiles started moving and obeying the shark's commands, anyway. What choice did it have? Mako was the registered supreme ruler of the Eggman Empire.

"I don't know, just go with it," Mako said in barely over a hiss to Geoff as the hovercrafts began to move, looking ultimately defeated.

Second he was out of here, he was going to find a way to tell the computer to just wipe itself.

Way, way down on the ground, in a ten-foot crater in the floor, Big's voice suddenly echoed out.
"Flying thingies!"

Rock stopped short on his search for an escape pod when an Egg Mobile came flying up to him. Cue an apprehensive glance to Jam. It only lasted a second before he hopped at its side, grabbed on, and hauled himself in (with just a little struggling and scrabbling of his boots against the side, owing to his less-than-stellar condition).

Rock's entrance may have been completed with a little more gusto than originally intended, as, somewhere amid his grip-less struggle to get inside the smooth, spherical vehicle, Jam had slipped up underneath his feet with fingers interlaced, snagged hold of a heel, and heaved.

After an apologetic wince, she scrambled in after with only marginally less toil, all the while mumbling, "Sorry, sorry, death imminent. You know."

An upside-down Rock righted himself with a pained look, but no anger.

"No, no," he mumbled and grunted as he got his feet back in the floorboard where they belonged, "I'm with you there."

Giving the flying cart an skeptical look, Ember gently peered up inside it. No bombs it seemed. Then again what would it even look like? What was not supposed to be in a flying thingie. She wasn't too sure what was going on atop the platform but if a hover cart wanted to give her a lift who was she to say no? Besides, she really didn't feel like walking after that explosion.

Hefting herself up, she slid into the seat with plenty of room to spare. It wasn't as if things could get much worse.

The ferret was left hanging as the earlier explosion sent him spiraling out of control towards the stairs. He managed to grab hold of the rails about halfway down his fall down the vast collection of stairs.

"A ride?" he questioned as an Eggmobile suddenly veered in his direction and stopped under him. Taking any option to end the exhausting trials that befell him otherwise, he landed in the seat of the small ship. In a slightly giddy tone, the ferret called out, not sure if he would get an answer, "Hey Ember! Want to have that dinner sometime?"

Made a different ending to add an actual "alternate ending" feel. It seemed like a "happily ever after sort of theme so I went for it.

As the vehicle which Mako and Geoff occupied began to move as well (on autopilot, for which Not-Eggman was incredibly grateful), the shark peered over the side, watching as the similar floating machines sidled on up to those below, even seeming a bit aggressive if there was any delay in their boarding. Big trying to force his way into one was a sight in and of itself, resulting in the seat collapsing and the mobile itself wavering slightly under the weight.

"... can't freakin' believe nobody's dead yet," he mused idly, rubbing the back of his head and sitting back in his seat. "I'm callin' this a victory if we get out, and then I'm washin' my hands of this whole... leader of the world thing."

Pause.

"Geeze."

"Yeah, totally aimin' for a spot in the history books, aren't ya?" remarked Geoff, his head slumping back as he closed his eyes briefly. "What are you going to even do, really? The whole world still has a mighty fine robot infestation, and someone's got to tell them to back off."

The hedgehog glanced over to the unexpected ruler.

"Imagine. You might have to do a speech for the fine people back home."

A smirk dominated Geoff's lips. Looks like he managed to find some humor after all.

"'Dear ladies and gentlemen'," Mako said, in an impressive voice, gesturing grandly with one hand. "'I have no idea what I'm doing, I'm just here because I got thrown into a screen. So all y'all robots should back off.' Yeah, that'll go well."
