" As i have previously stated, I am uncertain as to the purpose behind their actions. " Tau replied to the racoons question. " As their countermeasures have severely reduced the effectiveness of the colonies sensors i can not effectively determine where they intend to take them but i can confirm a foreign craft has recently departed the colony." He preemptively added. " It's trajectory suggests controlled atmospheric re-entry."

Visibly uncomfortable, but just as unsurprised as her whiter counterpart as the topic turned grave, Layla cast a tired sigh towards the ceiling, as she set both fists into the small of her back taking a few aimless, dragging steps about the perimeter of their growing little pow-wow.

"Hell if I dunno where this is going," Jam interjected pointedly, massaging the bridge of her nose.

"We're -- for the moment -- safe, but ultimately no closer to getting home, and the only possible step in that direction is to go chasing after the MIAs into God only knows what kind of Pandora's box, barely armed, and totally blind."

"Is that it?" she rhetorically asked with a nod to Tau. The terse simian paused, cast a look around, and huffed agitatedly. "Damnit all, we really coulda used the chick with the missiles."

Adding a quick, apologetic glance to Rock; "No offense. She still needs to die. "

Rock gave Jam his best unamused face. He turned and looked back toward the others, but made eye contact with no one in particular, mostly staring at some unoccupied patch of bare metal structure.

"Odds aren't good if we hang out here and wait for'em to come back, regardless," he decided. He scratched his neck vacantly; he had all the charisma of a bear fresh out of hibernation. (Again, maybe it was the drugs.) "They been messin' up our %$*# since we got here. Anybody who wants to go planetside and return the gesture can meet up in the personnel bay in... twenty minutes."

Though not the most eloquent way to suggest a counter-offensive, it was Rock's way. The ever-blunt-but-decisive white monkey shoved off from the wall with a grunt and started walking.

"Have all spacesuits on, bladders empty, prayers prayed, and guns loaded."

...

...

Juke stepped up beside Wild Badge, incredibly rigid-looking, his stance wide, fists balled, and head down.

"This is... intense," he whispered intensely to the raccoon. He raised a clenched fist in front of him and stared at it through his pointy black shades, teeth gritted. "Is this what it's like... to be a hero?"

"Ten-four on that," mused the serval with a lingering sigh hidden somewhere in his voice, once again proving that he too remained a member of whatever unnamed force the current cast formed. "Even if we weren't going primarily on a rescue mission... and we are. I'd say it's about time we learned what the hell's goin' on out here."

He seemed to pause in thought for a moment, as if he suddenly felt a spider crawl up his leg, but gathered his thoughts into a single question. "Oh, speakin' a' guns, though," he mentioned to... the redder of the primates, actually, with a telling grin that tugged at one side of his mouth. "...You ever find that armory?"

Badge nodded as everyone came to a unanimous decision: Going planetside. Whether it be for rescue, or simply striking back, everyone seemed to agree on the plan of action.

He looked at Juke, and nodded, "That's the feeling of impending Justice." He said matter-of-factly.

He then turned to look down the hall. Twenty minutes till they made their move, huh?

"I'm going to the bathroom." He said before wandering off.

"We found a armory," corrected the simian girl with a raised index finger. Her brows flattened over her eyes in a short-lived, but neanderthalic, "no is right" expression for a blip, culminating in a brisk shake of her head, and an amended, "An."

Moving on.

"But it kinda sucked. I'm sure there are others around, if we had the time to look, but."

She gestured a shrug in a sort of what're you gonna do manner, and added. "I should also say that the a-fore-mentioned suck armory is down a shotgun and an assault rifle, and thus sucks slightly more, but you're welcome to it."

Ace sorta rolled his eyes, gently bobbing his head back and forth come Jam's timely English lesson (like she wasn't the last person in the world* to educate on the matter), but it was soon enough discarded as the same brand of playful joshing.

He glanced up at whatever ceiling lights he could find, upon further explanation, and got as close as he could to biting his lip without actually biting it. "Twen'y minutes or bust, huh," he mused lowly, but turned forward again with a hapless shrug and a hopelessly hopeful smile. "Well. Gun's a gun. Mind pointing me in the right direction?"
