It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

Wild Badge saw Ace coming from behind and used him as an effective diversion for a punch to the back of the head, which was so effective that Hoji had to make a side-step out of the way to avoid being taken out by the guy.

He looked at Ace and nodded, reaching into his belt and bringing out a pair of cuffs to subdue Murdock.

It was at that point that someone new had simply waltzed over and started stepping on the guy and spoke a statement of obviousness. Hoji stood up and nodded exaggeratedly, so it wasn't lost behind his helmet.

"That's right. Villains never win, in the end... But why are you stepping on him?"

The young cat blinked for a moment, her statement had been actually agreed with by someone. While likely unintentional on Hoji's part, he'd given Animus a much needed boost of self confidence. Actually, it was her FIRST boost of self confidence. She daintily stepped down from her unconscious podium and her face scrunched up with confused anger and irritation. She was about to address the question she was asked. Pointing back to the tasmanian devil and holding a fist up, she made every preparation for her next statement.

"That bad man hit me for no reason! I was just minding my own business when suddenly - BAM! The big meanie knocked me flying and I felt all dizzy! I was mad so I waited for this chance! Yeah!" she growled, yelled and emphasized all throughout, complete with hand gestures and the occasional flail of the arm. It was clear she was upset but equally clear she had no idea what she actually wanted to achieve here.

Ace found himself... unable to do anything than nod with faux-pride for the odd little girl. What a crew was this, gathered about this space colony. And oh, how he hated crews he was not familiar with. "Right you are, little girl," he answered her with only the insincere-est of pseudo-heroic tones. And unless immediately halted in his efforts, ol' alleycat turned heel, stuffed his pockets with his hands, and shuffled his feet right on outta there, as if this dreadful matter had never come to surface in the first place. "I'll jus' be on my way."

Soon enough, he'd make his way into the familiar confines of his own crew's humble, makeshift abode. "I am so ready to just f&#in' crash, right now," he blurted, dragging his feet to the nearest semblance of a bench alongside the others. "D'we even know what, time it is? Is there some kinda official space time...?"

"...T'eh. Space time."

OOC: Since we still haven't been given much in the way of information re: the crew's ship thing, this is the unshakable mental image: Image ... Perhaps spliced with the Normandy (SR2)'s mess hall. John, or Jeni, if you wish to correct this... well. You know. Tell things at us.

In the thirty seconds or so between Ace's knock-out punch, and his reconvening with the primate portion of his party aboard their ship, Rock and Jam had made themselves at home... Or as much so as was possible in what was essentially a sci-fi mess hall/common area.

The pinker of the pair was perched atop the table rather than at it, swinging her legs asynchronously back and forth, when the cat stepped in. Straightening up from her horrible slouching, her lips spread in a cheeky grin, as she replied only with an impertinent, "I see what you did there."

By the time Ace came in, Rock was laid out on a sofa (a bolted-down sofa that didn't necessarily match the interior of a spaceship, but it worked), snacking on some kind of probably-nasty-tasting space protein bar or something similar. While the primate did snort a puff of air out of his nose in faint amusement, he answered the question a little more... directly than Jam.

"Time's a lost cause, now," he said simply. "We don't know what system, or galaxy, or... dimension—universe—we're in anymore."

Though he seemed initially satisfied with his own answer, he soon tacked on an afterthought that sealed the deal: "If that was FTL travel we went through, there may even be time dilation involved."

"F***," Ace blurted, his knuckles slowly finding their way to his forehead and kneading accordingly. It was actually a little surprising how quick the word even came out. There was more than just the Earth itself waiting for him back home-- there was his girl.

"Don't, say s**t like that, man..."

Wild Badge slowly nodded as the girl began her little speech. He was sure that the rent-a-cops in the hangar could take it from here and decided to make a hasty exit not far behind Ace.

He entered the shuttle just in time for Rock to explain how they were unsure where they were. With a sigh, the raccoon let a hand come to rest on his belt buckle. There was a click, and then his costume dissolved in a flash of light, revealing his normal get-up.

He always thought it'd be interesting to see an alternate universe version of himself, being the comic book fan he was. But the idea of being so far from home nonetheless made his stomach a tad bit sick.

"I don't suppose we could ask some local aliens where we are..." He grumbled; not really expecting an answer, but how were they supposed to find out where in the 'verse they were?

The super-sentai suit of Hoji had somewhat captivated Animus. It was shiny, after all. But what had her more curious was where he was going. Everyone else seemed to be in the middle of the hangar, yet the superhero who'd addressed her was making his way away from the rabble of people. It was time for Animus to be a sneaky little thing and follow the hero to his group of friends.

"He's more interesting than the rest of these people. I wanna follow him!" she thought to herself, giving herself a devilish little grin as she began her mini mission.

She didn't have a concept of stealth though, so this consisted of her rather blatantly following him to the shuttle then hiding to the side of the opening. She peeped around the corner though, her pigtail poking out rather far out from her hiding place, listening in to the conversation. What were dimensions?...

Rock had just taken another bite out of his snack, but his chewing slowed at what Ace said. He laid there on his couch, back to the entrance; he turned his head vaguely in Badge's direction to acknowledge his presence, but seemed very suddenly distracted. Wordlessly, he sat upright, set the remainder of his bar on the table, and watched Ace intently—discerningly. His posture settled with his forearms on his legs, his one good hand dangling between his knees.

He had grown callous to some things.

...

"Ace," he called in a desiccated, serious tone.

If the serval saw Badge stroll on by, he didn't acknowledge it, even when he started to spoke. He was too busy looking at the wall. His mouth was shaped like he smelled something foul, but his brows were sunk like he was thinking about something he didn't like thinking about.

He shook his head once, and shrugged irritably. "What," he said quietly.

"There's nothin' that can't be fixed."

He stayed where he was, solidly focused. "You know that already," he added.

"..."

It almost seemed like he was just rocking in his seat, but this exercise could gradually be confirmed to be nodding. He bowed his head closed his eyes, bobbing his head like he was listening to a mellow beat. "Yeah," he admitted softly. "Yeah, you're right. You're right."

Ace pulled himself out of whatever trance he was in with a deep breath, forsaking his view of the ground for something higher up. One could tell his worries weren't entirely abandoned as he breathed out his long exhale, but he wasn't stuck in place.

...And it wasn't long before he furrowed his brows again, but it was clearly for a different reason. His eyes rested on a stranger in the group-- one that hadn't been properly introduced. Or rather, that stranger's... pigtail.

"..."

For just a moment, Jam felt improper for two reasons. The first, for irreverently awing at the hidden subtext of Ace's unspoken communication, the finer nuances of which were lost on her, but not on Rock. She swelled with appreciation at this, but concurrently knew it was not the time to be impressed with her boyfriend's uncharacteristic emotional sympathy. The second feeling of imposition arose from her mere presence in what felt like a very solemn, very private broment, which she and Badge were only in on by virtue of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

As if out of reverence for the cat's woes, the monkey's idle fidgeting stilled, and a troubled, but awkward expression trickled over her moments-prior jovial features. She remained silent so as to respectfully not remind Ace that she was there, and thankfully, he was soon enough distracted by another presence. Confused by the sudden shift in the serval's demeanor, she hopped off the table, and peered out towards the source of his scrutiny. She blinked.

"Oh," was all she had to say.

Honestly, Wild Badge didn't know enough about his company to know what precisely Ace was irritated about. Still, he felt bad for the guy; luckily Rock knew just what to say. He nodded to himself at the semi-resolved matter.

But then he took note of Ace's gaze once again finding another source of irritation. Jam took the words right out of his mouth. He stared at the pig-tail. Looked familiar somehow.

"Who's there?" He called out, as if to remove any lingering doubt that the spy had been spotted.

Her hair had betrayed her and her mission and she planned to punish it for this later, because it seemed like the whole room knew she was there now. She'd made an attempt to press herself tightly against the side but her pigtail was still visible to the masses inside. So now someone knew she was here and even the super hero had spotted her vivid colour. She was now frightened at what they might do to her. She expected a scolding and much like a child, she sheepishly moved out from her hiding spot and stood at the opening, kicking her feet against the ground.

Her head was down-turned, eyes locked to the floor as she made a few mumbles.
"Sorry sorry sorry..." she muttered under her breath. "You were just more interesting than them down there..."

Her eyes glanced up for a moment to see the reactions of the others but the only thing she could think about was how odd all these people looked together.
