It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

"Alright," Coop replied in a low grumble, "stay away from the green aspirin if you can help it. The situation is not safe down here."

He loaded another grenade, and—after a few false starts brought on by the extremely low gravity near the underside of the pill-planet—got enough grip on the ground to begin walking.

He stepped gingerly up the length of the pill, until he saw the beginning of the planet the squirrel was referring to.

He eyeballed it, and eyeballed the distance between it and the pill, and then began to shed the rest of his space suit.

Rock rolled his eyes as the scientist blurted the precise location of the objective across the airwaves for Tracer to hear. He glanced at Jam, then gestured silently toward the armored menace as if holding an invisible ball between his hands—surely a signal for something. Meanwhile, he himself set into motion, disappearing behind one of the huge conduits and moving quickly closer to the fight. As he went, he tapped a button on his wrist and reopened his private channel to Tau.

"Tau: the only people we can trust now's our own group. We need to secure the objective area and keep anybody from tamperin' with anything until this situation's neutralized—VIP included."

With a nod so succinct it may well not have happened at all, Jam eased into a wider stance, taking a couple of sauntering steps toward the scuffle, all the while rubbing her hands together as though trying to start a fire in her palms. There appeared, when she pulled them apart, to be an unusual amount of resistance, along with a gradually growing white-hot, volatile ball of light surrounded by a faintly blue halo that ebbed and undulated along with its inaudible pops and sizzles. Its simian creator, also emitting that same cobalt bloom, adjusted her footing and aim, and lobbed the ball lightning -- weightless, hard and fast -- straight at the llama's chest.

EMP-resistant or not, a super-excited, explosive ball of hot, sparking plasma was unlikely to feel good, and failing that, would at least be unfriendly to the suit's vital functions... like the electronic optics she relied on to see through her helmet, or her sensor arrays, or weapons systems...

Upon connecting, the scarfed hero drifted back to the ground. He was caught somewhat by surprise when the villainess recovered so quickly. As she lined up the sights on him once again, he didn't hesitate to dive out of the way, but some of the bullet-spray grazed him in the side as he flew across the green surface of the giant pill they stood on.

"Nngh!" He hit the ground, tucking into a sideways roll onto a knee, holding his side. He noted that thankfully, the suit was still holding together despite all the punishment.

With his feet still firmly dug into where he was standing, Tau simultaneously shifted his stabilizer 'pods' and performed a quick micro burn of his primary thruster (though not enough to give any actual momentum) to insure it was functioning correctly while he replied Astrid.

" It's advised further communications in regards to our objectives is relayed along private channels until a new secure broad channel is chosen. "

By now Tau had turned to face the direction of the shielded area and took a few steps forward, yet came to a paused as Rock commed in.

Com-> Rock " Understood. Treating all further entities as hostiles. "

After replying to Rock he'd resume speaking to Astrid. "...The current situation will likely attract the remainder of any automated defenses in the area to the center of disturbance. This would be... a favorable time to relocate." Tau resumed moving forward, though not quick enough to put more than a few feet between him and the VIP.

" ... While I am quite capable of performing combat duties as required, they are not my preferred choice of activities. Assistance in research duties is... more favorable. No need to apologize. "

By now the recon drone had long since shifted from its general inspecting of the new-found combat to scouting for hostiles along Tau and Astrid's most likely routes.

Even however short Tracer's return fire already was, the llama might have found her attack-time cut even shorter by the fact that, Ace wasn't done attacking her. Once he'd confirmed a hit with his kick, the serval actively used Tracer as a springboard to launch himself even further into the air, and immediately went to work lobbing card after card at her. He wasn't sure exactly how much damage they'd end up dealing to her, or even if it would phase her in the first place, but for once, he was extremely thankful for the backup he had handy (yes, even from the white knight Wild Badge).

Eventually, he started to drift far enough away that, no matter how accurate his shots were, Tracer would likely be able to avoid them by simply moving out of the way before they hit. But he wouldn't stop just yet, even as he slowly descended further away and out of view, because he knew the value in covering fire.

Upon hearing Tau's request, Astrid gave an uncharacteristic scowl for such a seemingly chipper creature. As she was clearly intelligent, she knew that the request to use private channels meant that it was indeed one of her team that had been termed the hostile. What could one gain from infiltrating her team? Was infiltration even a goal, or did whoever the hostile was simply want the paycheck but wound up being figured out? Whatever the case, it meant an issue for her goals, or at least a road bump, and that annoyed her.

Instead of voicing this annoyance, however, Astrid nodded to Tau instead, keeping up with him with ease as he had intended. "Very well. I'll bear it in mind. Let's take advantage of this distraction, as you advise, and get out of here." His final statement made the squirrel smile. "Well, that's good to hear. I could always use an assistant."

The Llama found herself at a severe disadvantage. While any one or two of the opponents only posed a marginal threat, the combined might of the group was quickly becomeing more hostile then Tracer wanted to deal with. While she'd delt a satifying blow the masked hero she had no time to savor it.

First the ball of death. Tracers attention, admist all the fighting, still snapped to the primate when she launched the ball. Once launched Tracer immedatly dove to the side as hot cards started to rain down on her. After the ball hit the ground not 5 feet from the llama the HUD display went black, and she fell to a knee and offered no defense to Ace's assult that burst against her armor leaving scorch marks in rectangular outlines across the orange and black paint job on the armored plates.

Wild Badge watched as the ball of seering hot electricity whiffed(but only insofar as the ball itself.) It did seem to stun her in some sense while cards pelted her armor. His own HUD fizzled for a second, but luckily, he was far enough away that it's effect was minimal at best. Plus, he wasn't completely reliant on it to see.

Once the volley of cards came to an end, Hoji wasted no time. He lunged toward the llama, with his right fist raring back and giving off a radiant blue glow. Once within striking distance, he threw his fist at her chest region. On impact, the concentration of Chaos Energy around his fist would erupt violently with explosive force.

"WILD PUNCH!"

Tracer

They where right to try the EMP, Tracers sight was reliant on the HUD display, and opening her visor left her open and exposed to any number of attacks her suit protected her from. So she had to remain still while she assessed the damage done.

Targeting was offline. All automatic stabilizers where offline, Primary cannon was reset and her charge lost. Optics where online but only low-res feed. Radar was online, and it told her when the Raccoon moved in. He didn't waste any time in trying for another attack. Tracer activated one of the few systems unaffected, the combustion system for the rocket pack. It triggered and launched her from a stand still to almost full speed she barreled right for her biggest threat in doing so, the raccoons attack would only meet astro-turf (get it?).

Her biggest threat of course was the pink monkey.

If Tracer got her hands on that monkey it'd be a very bad day for her indeed. Because once Tracer would get a hand on her she would not let her go and her grip would only squeeze tighter and tighter. Tracer's thruster would carry them off the surface of the pill shaped land mass and into a unstable orbit.

"Give it." There was no threat or anything more. It was obvious that the alternative was the two of them slipping from the pills gravity and being pulled down to the bottom of the weird gravitational zone they where in.

Monkey or no, Tracer's angle would put her in orbit of the pill. she'd circle the mass once then fire a full burn to leave it using its atmosphere to gain as much momentum as possible as she launched herself towards the control satellite.

And it was for just that moment Rock had been skulking around, peeking around corners and over obstacles while quickly, stealthily following the action, laying in wait. He didn't even know she was going for Jam—there was no chance to even see what Tracer's ultimate trajectory would be, because the very second she lit up her thrusters to avoid Badge's attack, she rocketed directly at a leaping Rock, who, with glowing, streaking hulk-hands raised, had sprung seemingly out of nowhere from behind a huge conduit to bring a double-fisted smash to the llama's head with every intention of spiking her directly to the ground like a meteor.

Such a strike, if it hit, would by its sheer, brain-jarring power, inevitably bounce Rock upward (Newton's fabulous laws and all). With lightning speed, he re-drew his CT pistol with one hand, and before his assailed target could even hit the ground, rained down a flurry of concussive, bursting beams for the duration of his two second fall... while his other hand, with the kind of coordination only someone like him could pull off, produced his plasma knife and ignited it.

In short, unless something highly improbable happened: A huge smash down, constant explosive gunfire, and a goring stab straight at her gun-wielding shoulder delivered upon landing in a feet-first stomp aimed at her gut. Elapsed time: About four seconds from first impact. It was a premeditated storm of fiery death, and unless Hoji pleaded her case quickly or otherwise intervened, he'd be taking her back to the police in a collection of shoeboxes rather than a pair of handcuffs.

Rambo-esque surprise attacks were usually less effective when the baddie knows where you are. Tracers radar had not been taken off line, and Rocks proximity had not been lost on her. As soon as he closed in she cut her thrusters and started to slow. She however could not anticipate his attack.

She'd slowed herself but not enough to really do anything to stop Rocks attack. He rung her bell hard enough that the ringing in her ears lessened the concussive noise from the shots that rained down on her. The luck of knowing where he was did give her the ability to get her limbs under her and cushion her fall. The story of tracers terrifically bad day continued as she finally gets her weapons systems back online for rock to stab a big hole into her shoulder mounted cannon. She had enough luck however to avoid the added gut kick given her almost crouched position. But not enough to stop the cannon from hissing out some exhaust and a red warning light on her back started flashing with some sense of urgency.

No, Tracer wasn't going to explode. Not unless she tried to fire the shoulder cannon anyway.

Wild Badge's punch completely whiffed, and he staggered forward a bit on his tippy toes. He looked over as the villain rocketed in a straight trajectory...

That is, until Rock came out of nowhere and deflected her with a energy haymaker to the head. Followed quickly with some rain of bullets, and a stab. As much as Hoji didn't sympathize with the enemy in any way, he also didn't need the added hassle of bringing the villain back home in a body bag.

"Wait!" He cried out as he ran toward them, "I need her back alive!" His protesting was accompanied by attempts of putting space between the space ape and the armored llama.

The main thing about dealing with Rock was that, once he was on a target, there just wasn't time to do much of anything. He didn't pause; he didn't pose; he didn't taunt; he didn't even seem to breathe. It was typically just constant motion in the form of pummeling, breaking, shooting, and stabbing until nothing moved. That said, if she was crouched out of the way of his stomping landing, then he'd simply drop his pistol in the same motion that he reached out to snare her throat with his huge, black-gloved hand, with every intention of using his other to drive his blade straight in for a horrifying, fish-cleaning, cover-the-children's-eyes finish.

But, he didn't. He wasn't in any kind of blind rage. This was what Rock being calm was like. So, when Hoji yelled, he did indeed listen and pause, but only if he had the situation under control.
(OOC: Let it be known that I do not wish to overstep consent-rule bounds, but I'm assuming that Hoji wouldn't call for him to stop if she wasn't in a subdued/life-threatened position.)

"A'right," grunted the primate begrudgingly, while being sure to dance the spitting, sparking, plasma-spewing blade somewhere sweat-pouringly close to the llama's gut, more than happy to let it begin to slowly sear a very warm, but shallow line into the armored panel. "I gotta say this one would be safer dead, but... s'your bounty; your business."

His gleaming gold visor stared emptily at her face, unmoving. His grip was horrible; if she had any armor protecting and supporting her neck, it wouldn't be surprising if it started to make some very light soda-can-crinkling noises. (And, as if just to add insult to injury, his pistol soon swiveled back into view, being held and aimed over his shoulder at her face by his tail.)

"How're you gonna secure this mess?"

The Raccoons plea for her survival came as a bit of a surprise to the Llama. But nothing Rock did surprised her at this point. Hoji's plea was all the time she needed for her rocket cases to fall open, and the blinking rockets to all fire at once at the white primate directly in front of her. It'd be a good day indeed if she'd take him out with her.
