As the group became whole, the salmon-colored simian jerked quickly away from her tampering like a child caught raiding the cookie jar, and dove for the nearest seat where she could twiddle her thumbs, and look conspicuously innocent. While it couldn't be said for Jam that she maintained Tau's apathy, Rock's cool impassiveness, or even Ace's quick mimicry of the above, she was at the very least neither Coop-like nor Tracy-like in her regard for her future coworkers. Rather, she seemed mildly unsettled with the hulking black eagle, whom she possibly remembered subjecting to multiple knee and elbow strikes to the head, and was only questionably sane.

The incognito camelid received one of those blatantly impolite double-takes which could mean nothing flattering, but it was quickly deflected onto the table. Leaning into the arm rest of her chair, the monkey responsible clandestinely whispered to Ace (on whose right she'd ended up), "Good God, that's a scary-lookin' woman. She's friggin' Wonder Sow."

... She may or may not have distantly heard something about space, being unwelcome, and the associated, lucrative dangers of such.

Once Tracer has brushed Coops appaerence off she ignored his presence just as easily as she did the others at the table. She focused on the doctor, tapping a finger on the table top. As little as Tracer wanted to ask questions the doctor 's brief explanation was lacking in some tactical details she was going to need.

"How long will you need to be on the station?" She finally asked focused on the like colored squirrel.

On the outside, Ace was as cool and casual as ever, leaning back in his seat with a convincing farce of neutrality, even avoiding the rapid shifting his eyes usually went through in times of tension. But come Jam's side comment, he knew he wasn't the only one feeling something a little off with the rest of their company.

"Yeah, no kiddin'," he whispered back. "Somethin' tells me she's not as friendly. Lookit 'er eyes. Focused like a laser."

Astrid shrugged. "I'll need to be on the station at least a couple of hours to run my experiments to get the data I need, possibly a couple of days depending on the conditions when we get there. Not too long. Under a week, I'd wager, if that, and I've some contacts there if need be who owe me a favor or two. I wouldn't like it to come to that, however." She flipped through her notebook, running over figures in her head. "But ideally? Under a day. We'll be doing some speed-science here." Her eyes briefly flickered from Tracer to the eagle to the group as she once again chewed her cheek. She had noticed some slight... animosity between the parties, and that concerned her. For now, however, she decided to ignore it. If it became too much of a problem she'd deal with it one way or the other.

Something in the middle of what Astrid said got some visual feedback from Rock, whose brows suddenly lowered in concern. "... Wait. Contacts? There?" he asked in echo. "Are we still talkin' about the colony? I thought it was abandoned."

It would certainly change the tactical element a bit if there were suddenly people aboard the colony to deal with.

Coop sat in his chair, which he very slowly began to tilt backwards, shifting his weight so that it lifted onto its two back legs.

He listened, with a flat expression, and appeared to be in the throes of a deep attack of ennui.

"Oh, we're talking about the colony, but it isn't what you might think." Astrid replied dismissively. "I've some associates working nearby the ARK, not on it, per se. It's abandoned, but there's an event going on. Nothing to worry about."

Apparently satisfied enough by the response, Rock just nodded and leaned back once more, concerns allayed—at least outwardly.

"S'all I need to know, then," he stated plainly and crossed his arms. He was ready enough.

" This assignment is acceptable. "

Tau was interested in the possibilities of the missions destination, though didn't seem to outwardly show any interest in it, instead, He'd just remained idle next to the door while contemplating about the subject.

Coop leaned slowly further back in his chair, which was beginning to tilt dangerously towards overbalancing. He did not seem overly concerned with this. He looked around tranquilly, and appeared to be studying the faces of his team-mates.

The squirrel smiled brightly. "Splendid! If there are no more questions and no objections, well... the sooner we get off, the better. If you need to make any preparations do so now." She stood up, collecting her belongings, but not before she scribbled down a note or two in her notebook. "I should mention, if you require money for any such preparations, I'd be more than happy to supply that- if you can justify the cost, that is."

Astrid's answer was both short and non-specific. There was a large difference between getting on the station for 3-4 hours and getting on there for 48-72. Given the answer to her first question she quickly dismissed the option of asking more. So she merely nodded an acknowledgment to Astrid. She glanced to the robot, starring at it a moment, robots such as this one or on the occasion CT's gave Tracer pause. They weren't as easy to poke holes into. Though they often expired with a most satisfying explosion. She kept such thoughts to herself as she glanced once more over the other members of the 'team', disregarding both the pink monkey and the cat, neither seemed particularly worth while. The white monkey had a air about him that told her he had training, Coop she knew from experiences that he was of more value not-dead, that left only the robot.

Feh. Robots. "Lets proceed." She finally said turning her full attention back to the boss.

Coop's chair finally tilted into the back wall with a clonk. This seemed to motivate him to stir from his revery. He rocked his chair forward onto its feet and leaned forward towards Astrid.

"How far up are we going?" He asked.

"Into the ARK," he added, after a further second or two.

Glancing up at the eagle, Astrid consulted her notebook (as she almost always did). "Not far. The levels nearest us will suffice. I don't want to be up there any longer than need be, and I'm sure you all share that sentiment." She produced a pencil and nibbled at the eraser of it. "This is such a tedious way of going about things, but I really have no choice. Best to get up there and be done with it."

Rock was meanwhile already collecting his belongings and heading for the door. As he departed, he called back, "We'll meet up as planned. All we need's suits—should be quick." One could presume he wasn't talking about formal attire.

Once he was in the hall, and whenever his cohorts caught up (or vice-versa, if they'd been quicker getting out the door), he donned a knowing grin—the kind that implied he knew something awful (one of the only reasons Rock ever grinned, anyway).
