Not a good day for the people. We suffered a hard hit today, we definitely did. We lost one of our best bases of operation in Gigalopolis — supposedly at the hands of Dr. Eggman himself, if you listen to the EE garbage rags. Nuh uh, Eggman hasn't personally lifted a finger around here in ages. Witnesses say it was the Eggman Army.

That alone should tell you somethin's changed. Robots have always been Eggman's first choice, and since he started his new empire, the "army" has just been there to keep its own members in line. What's going on? Most of the Eggman Army turned a blind eye to us since the start. They've been mostly on our side. Now, there's people in there who aren't.

On top of that, construction efforts over at "Eggmanland" are speeding up like never before, like he's desperate to finish. At this rate, there won't be a Central City left in the United Federation. It'll all just be Eggman's monument to his own ego.

If Sonic plans to do anything at all, he better do it fast. Sonic, c'mon, where are you?
