Today, the Gigalopolis wing of Dr. Eggman's RIF-RAF Labs, home of the groundbreaking B.A.W.S. (Bioconverting Animal Weaponization System), was attacked and seriously damaged by rebel forces. The mastermind behind the attack, a youth who goes only by the name "Seven," escaped capture. (It is reported that a group of vagrants living in the trash compactor were nearly injured in the incident, but escaped safely thanks to the self-sacrificial actions of the B.A.W.S. robot, which, like all Eggman creations, mirrors the boundless compassion and intelligence of its genius creator.)

Unfortunately, RIF-RAF Labs was the only fully-functioning system of its type in Gigalopolis. Demolition of a neighboring hospital has already begun to clear the way for the construction of a new facility, however. Dr. Eggman promises the new lab will be four times the size of its predecessor, with sixteen times as many animal harvesting stations. Completion is projected by the beginning of next week.
