Updates Sonic Spindash RP is closed.Founded 05/25/2002 by three friends; ended 09/19/2012.
It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.
Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.
I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.
I love you guys. God bless.

"GOOD GOD, IT'S A STIFF," exclaimed the spooked simian as she flung herself backwards, and promptly onto her butt on the sidewalk. The saddest thing about the spectacle wasn't merely that it happened, but that despite her volume and actions, none of the passersby were particularly phased. One seemed to rubberneck for a second, but in actuality, he'd only stopped to tie his shoe.
As the disarmingly loud snore rumbled out the bird's nostrils, though, Jam merely blinked, and awkwardly cleared her throat, but didn't yet bother getting up.
"...ly... positioned... person. In this bag."

"D'YOH--! Gawd...!"
The mole was quick to react, without a doubt. The very moment she leaned over to investigate, she soon realized there was a person in there, and consequently jerked back in the opposite direction, her hands held high at her sides. She didn't look necessarily scared, but about as startled and creeped-out as one could be without some form of paranormal activity involved. A small shudder involuntarily slithered its way down her spine, but she was frozen on the knees she kneeled down upon.
"What the HELL kinda person is this guy!?"
A few good meters away, Ace was busy 't'ch-ing away at his quarry escapee. ...Even if he didn't know what on Earth Rock's problem with him was in the first place. Which reminded him on the jog back to their two lady-friends. "Okay, Rock," he called with the slightest hint of irritation. "You have the time now, tell me what's up with that guy."

"One of the bombers who attacked that GUN facility in Central City," Rock explained as headed back alongside Ace. "He made off with emeralds and who knows whhhhat tha' hell." That last part, as one could easily guess, came as he slowed to a stop near the open duffel. There was nothing... jerky or startled about it, honestly, but he looked an all-new brand of disgusted, upper lip wrinkled at one corner, one brow lower than the other—the whole nine yards.
He knelt next to the girl. He could visibly see that she was breathing, so his expression soon relaxed, but he picked up a wrist and checked her pulse anyway. He had to feel around and make numerous adjustments to find it. "Weak pulse," he reported, then produced a small flashlight and pulled back one of her eyelids. "Pupils dilated, not much response," he added in a trailing, thoughtful as he tucked the light away again.
He then proceeded to start lightly smacking her face while nearly shouting, "HEY, YOU, WAKE UP." (He was definitely not a medical officer during his time in the military.)

After a few smacks, there was movement. The head shifted around as her eyes slowly started to open. It took a moment for Ember to focus as she stared up above her at the bright sky. Even still, she seemed out of it as she tried to sit up but failed horribly; her body still wedged tightly. Her gaze shifted over to the monkey that hovered over her, the sun behind him making the white fur take on a glow.
A few seconds ticked by before she spoke in a slurred voice, "Oh hi angel dude. You gonna take me to that good place?"

Rock shot a glance at Jam as he failed to fight off one of those "I shouldn't be grinning about this" grins, as if endlessly amused by the duffel-bag-girl's barely-conscious murmurings.
"Hah," he laughed singularly and shook his head. "No, no. Not yet."
He pulled back at the opening of the duffel to get her head loose from its wedged predicament, and, after a quick look to make sure that she didn't seem mangled or otherwise dangerous to move, he picked her up out of her stuffy little luggage prison. Hesitant to let her stand of her own accord just yet, he shot an awkward glance around (as if wondering if he'd somehow get in trouble with what was going on, being spotted with a barely-conscious girl in a bag and all), then asked, "Are you okay? I mean, you're not, like, shot or stabbed or anything, right?"

"Right, unpacking. Let's go."
The raccoon said, as if reminded that they weren't visiting WestSide Island just to stand around in the streets of Grand Metropolis. With that in mind, he started off again toward the casino grounds where their hotel stood, tall as it was fancy-looking. Right in the middle of the complex.

Once out of the bag and on her own feet, Ember did sway on her feet but otherwise seemed to hold her own. Holding her head in her hands, she rubbed at her eyes. "I'm gonna...gonna kick someone. Him. Gonna kick him.", she muttered to herself.
When Rock asked about gunshots, she stared at him for a moment before the question seemed to sink in. "Bleeding? Am I?" Glancing down at her arm, she gave a small gasp. "Oh hell I am...wait." Peering closer at her arm, she shook her head. "Oh..that's feathers. Silly me." Giving a laugh, she looked around her. "Oh wow. People. Hi people." Raising her hand, she gave a weak wave in the direction of Jam and Caz. "Heeeey people."
It seemed whatever drug was in her hadn't worn off just yet.

Caz still had a slightly insensitive expression worn on her face considering the situation their new feathered friend was in, but she couldn't help it! The overwhelming weirdness of the circumstances was still hung over her head. Nonetheless, she was still considerate enough to offer a greeting of her own when Ember waved at her.
"...Hey," she said weakly, no so much waving her hand as she was sloooowly dragging it from left to right... and then keeping it there.
Ace, on the other hand, had already stopped dead in his tracks the moment he realized there was a girl in the bag, instantly snuffing out any questions about the bombers he might have had in mind. He didn't suffer much of the bird's delirium, but did offer a quick question to the side: "...Just what the Hell kinda person is that guy?"
"That's what I was saying!"

Only able to return Rock's amused expression with one of confusion accompanied by a succinct shrug, Jam eyed their new feathered friend warily in silence as she gradually... very gradually, regained her bearings. With a barely distracted twiddle of her fingers, the punch-hued primate replied with a weak, "Hhiiii," of her own, before abruptly (and perhaps insensitively) broaching the burning question on everyone's mind:
"So like, why were you -- uh... sleeping -- in the bag?"

Looking confused, she blinked. "Bag?" Looking down at her feet, realization slowly lit up her face. "Oooh a bag. I dunno. Not comfy. When did I get into a bag?"
Suddenly, her head jerked up. "Bird! Where's the bird? I have to-um-call him names I think or something." Doing a quick turn to look around, she stumbled back from the sudden movement. "Oh..don't do that. Okay."
Rubbing her forehead, she looked as though she was concerating with much difficulty. "Last thing was big bird shooting me with something.

Rock had kept at least a light grasp on the girl's arm through all her stumbling and wobbling, just in case, but his other hand was soon occupied massaging his own nose bridge. There was no communicating with her in that state.
"Let's just...," he started, but stopped, shook his head, and leaned down to get face to face and make his words a little clearer.
"Look, just come with us for now, until you get your bearings, then we'll talk about what happened. Alright?"

Ember looked thoughtful as she rubbed her chin as if she was seriously considering the offer. Then with an almost maniac grin, she gave several quick nods. "Sure thing angel dude!"
