I'm sure you guys remember David's character, Slick, who was supposed to be the leader of the group featuring Coop, Tracer, and Archer. As you know, life tied David's shoestrings together, dumped a bucket over his head, and shoved him down a flight of stairs. David is out of the mix, probably "permanently" as far as RP timeframes are concerned.

This mean's there is no Slick. Coop has been kind of filling the leadership role, but his appearances have been labored and without any Archer/Tracer presence for the most part, excluding scant cameos. So, his whole side of the story has basically turned into the Coop Show.

I think this is because David was at the conceptual hub of this idea, and now, there's nothing really left to hold its individual components together and make that story happen. Ben, Rachel, I know you guys recently got new art for Archer and Tracer, but I haven't heard you talk about involving them in the story, and a whole thread has gone by with Coop basically getting beat on by various people with no backup or other involvement. (FYI I'm not asking or hinting for it now—the thread is over and about to close.)

I think these characters need to be repurposed. The Slick's Gang story is quickly going down the crapper. I personally think Coop is too interesting of a character to let go down with the ship, so I want to find a role for him in the story somehow. I think the others could be, too, but we haven't really seen them much.

Suggestions are welcome.

It's my fault. I didn't think to check for Coop, I thought someone would have mentioned it if there was opportunity to play. I'm sorry. I don't want to see the characters fall off the face of the earth. I really do like the character's and would like to keep them/re purpose them. But I don't have any ideas. I'm not very good with the planning thing, so I don't think I'll be much help in this regard... I'm open to anything though.

To be honest, Matt, what I was gonna propose was for Coop and the gang to posssiiiiblllyyyyy be enlisted by Vince as a part of his -underground crew-, but seeing as how G.U.N. got to the bird first in recent posts, I'm not entirely sure if Vince has the reach necessary to keep anything from detaining the eagle for a long time. Plus, I don't think I know enough about the gang to begin with to really try to get them on as 'hired goons' of a sort, so... Not sure if it's something they would really go for or what.

It's an idea that has potential. Certainly more then what I have. The group has potential as mercenary of a sort. But how something like that would require some kinda of transition, Its a bit off from where they're currently aimed.

I think that Coop's capture could potentially lead to involvement for Tracer and Archer, if they had any sort of motivation to rescue him. As for their motivation in the grand scheme of things, I don't know about Tracer, but Archer is a greedy little thief. He's still interested in the emeralds.

He may have the motivation to lead a caper in an attempt to take the Emerald out from under Vince's nose(This could lead to direct contact with Vince, where he can then buy their loyalty if that be where the chips fall. Get it? Casino pun!), should he somehow convince Tracer to help. Or simply participate in it, if they did decide to break Coop out of GUN custody...

As far as what Tracer and Archer are doing right this minute... I don't know. I don't know if Coop gave them any kind of heads up on anything prior to current events.

Good thoughts. If they do want to spring Coop, then it could even lead to some investigative work on their part if they're not sure where he's been taken. (Which in turn may mean some non-combat RP featuring the characters for once. Well, maybe non-combat. Depends on how well their interactions with the other characters while investigating go... yeah, actually, that'd probably be combat. BUT WITH DRAMA FIRST.)
