Decided to take out the "Griff" in Desmond's name, while redoing a bit of my sloppy wiki page. Nothing serious has changed though, so please note me if any other change is needed to be made. |

You diiid change his star description for energy from "quick recovery" to "regenerative." Granted, you didn't actually change the star total along with it, for some reason, but... nonetheless, now reverting rating description changes. Character profile was approved with "quick recovery." You can use the stat increase process if you want to change it (but be mindful of the footnote that accompanies anything more extreme than quick recov). Oh, and you may wanna check your word usage if you try to put back any of the new description. I don't think "reside" means what you think it means. |

Though not on the same specific topic, I did some wiki tweaking for Desmond again. If anything is out of place or what not, go ahead and inform me of my error(s) |

The same basic issue as before stands with your image. The character is listed at 96 cm, but you draw him taller than Ace, who's 135 cm. We use the chart in the height and weight guide to keep there from being wild stylistic differences and discrepancies in visual design, so please take a look at it. If you don't quite get what I mean about it affecting the style, also take a look at what happens when we just resize it to make it match where it should be on the chart, relative to other characters: Sizeguide with Desmond In addition, the very first sentence of your character info now doesn't make sense. "Quite young for his age group..." It sounds like the old non sequitur, "I was born at a very young age." Actually, heck, did you read through the whole thing after writing it? Quote: Quite young for his age group, yet already a retired soldier from the forces of G.U.N, the retiree has has himself quite the trip after ending his retirement mid-session during a certain tyrant's temporary reign. I mean, it's otherwise alright (you may wanna trim some clutter-wordsconsider your use of "on a numerable amount of occasions" vs. the word "often" or something similarly concise.), and I think it better describes the character now, but just please be sure to address the scaling thing and that first sentence, alright? |

Alrighty, that sounds okay. The whole scaling thing is a bit tough, but I'll try my best to make it as squishy as before. I mean, other than getting another member to redo it, do you have any advise for it to be better for the wiki? And as for the biography part, I can do some editing again on that part. Sorry again for the mistakes, I will try to make a better attempt on my part to make it fit RP's standards. |

Drawing short characters is hard to do instinctively. I'm not much of a drawer-guy (I choose to say this rather than "artist," because truly, I am no artist), but I do know enough to say this: The key lies in the cartoony proportioning, where, to reflect a short character in a style like this, you have to not only make the legs and torso shorter, but you also have to make the hands, feet, and head all bigger. Sonic characters, even when young, small, demure, feminine, kiddish, or whatever, tend to have far bigger hands and feet than one is naturally inclined to draw. Your brain may recoil against the exaggeration at first, but if you give it a shot, while keeping some other pictures in the style close at hand to compare it to, you may find that you like the results in the finished product. In terms of just making this easier on yourself, I would maybe recommend you do a mini-retcon to give yourself a little more wiggle room in his height. While you can't just go and suddenly make him taller than Ace (since he has already been noted to be rather small and such in-character, by both narrative and I think other characters), you could give him a small boost in height. Maybe crank him up to 105 or 110 cm? Should make it easier on you, 'cause Amy-like height is just REALLY TINY. Probably smaller than you ever truly meant. Anywho, like I said, I think your description definitely matches him a lot better, and I'm glad to see there are folks who take the time to update their character profiles once in a while to match the ongoing changes, so, hey, keep it up. |

Here, I made an example with a ten-minute shop of the image you made. It's... well, I did a pretty slapdash, rushed job, so I'm not saying you should use it or anything, but it's just to illustrate what I mean. Compare side to side with the original! ![]() ![]() I increased his foot, hand, and head size, shortened his legs, vertically squished him by a few percent, then reduced the overall image scale by 20%. This exact image, if used on the wiki, would probably put him in the ballpark of a 110cm character, by the conventions of our style here. |

Alright, that looks really good for a shop! I will get to work on that. |
