... uhm. What I wear-- Y'mean, like, nothing? ... well yeah gloves and shoes, but... it's 'cause big clothes, like pants, create a lot of drag in the water, and get really heavy when they get wet. I'm actually kinda competent in the water, remember, and Iunno, it's like I don't want to handicap myself in that, 'least. An' more than that, you ever try to find clothes that can accomodate a shark? It's not easy, man, 'tween the big fin on my back and the honkin' big tail. Mimi -- my little sister -- always laments that she has to wear a skirt, since she can never find anythin' like shorts or pants to wear. But. Yeah, that's about it. Oh, yeah, an' the necklace is 'cuz it's funny. You know, shark, sharktooth necklace? Yeah. oh and I also found this really sweet viking hat... |

OOC: Tabby's responses will be a little rough, until I get get a better feel for the character through the course of normal roleplay, annnnd stuff like this. Bear with me. "In a nutshell, mostly comfort and ease of wear. The boots're sturdy (which is important in my line a' work), and I guess they offer a little extra protection, 'cause not much stings the same way as shin injuries; don' ask me why. Shorts? Eeeh, there's not much to 'em to get in the way, and they're well worn-in -- Lyle wore 'em to death before they 'fell out of vogue,' or whatever. The shirt... I can't remember not having. I may have been born in it. It's just always been there; it's tough as nails, still good and stretchy, easy to move in, dries fast, and it doubles as a swimsuit top in a pinch. The gloves're special: Rock made 'em for me out of... I don't even know what, but it conducts real good in the palms. So good, in fact, I've accidentally fried a lot of electronics because of 'em. Still love 'em, though -- they're huge, and burly, and make me feel all tough. My necklace is special, too; aside from being I dunno, like a centuries-old antique (formerly of unfathomable lightning powers), we go way back. Used to be a bracelet before I slammed it and the kid attached to it into a steel girder. That's what happens when you take my s**t. And the jacket? ... I 'unno, I just liked it." "Um, I s'pose considering some of my, uh... hobbies, it's important to have really good running shoes with proper cushioning and arch support with sturdy synthetic uppers. These things fit the bill, and they're pretty flashy to boot, so I tend to stick with clothes that match. Mostly, unless I'm going out, I just stick to athletic wear, y'know? Stuff that's made to be run around in, and is swishy, and light, and breathable, and moisture-wicking, and comfortable. I like the top 'cause it's red, and who doesn't like red, am I right? I like the pants 'cause they're roomy, and have all these pockets and dangly string bits all over the place, and patches, just a lot of personality, you know? The gloves are a utility thing. They matched the rest of me, and I needed them, because, oh, you do not want to feel the blisters that you get from climbing with naked hands all day. The belt is probably the coolest part; it was custom-made specifically for ah, what I do (I had to tell the guy the spraycan holsters were for water bottles, and he was like, "You need two bottles of water?" and I was like, "Uh, my workouts are pretty intense." I don't think he believed me). Anyway, it's got special compartments for my extra tips, and for my camera, and stuff, and as an added bonus, all the metal bits jangle when I run --It's so much fun." |

"What I wear, eh? Well, uh, let's see here.... Guess I could start off with the pants. This pair here, well, I could start off with saying they're comfortable enough for my standards at the moment. May be a bit bulky at times, yeah, but heck, I could care less anyways. Still, maybe I should go ahead and pick something up a bit more... fit for all this runnin' around I've been doing. But, man, look at the pockets on these things. Can carry all sorts of random stuff without having to worry about getting it all mixed up. Always findin' random change, though... The shirt? Guess blue works for me, for obvious reasons. If you can't tell. And, I dunno, I sorta like the symbol on it. Nothin' too complex about it. Just simple. Always been a big user of t-shirts anyway. Now the gloves actually have a solid reasoning behind 'em. Starting off with all the Gear stuff... You try learning and don't scrape your hands up the first sidewalk you come to? You'd just be one lucky kid. I was tired of leaving a fresh layer of skin on the street day after day when I was younger, so I just picked up these beauties. Kinda were big back then, but they're pretty snug now. Still do good for me. Short and sweet answer for the shoes. Fit comfortably, don't wear out easily, but are still good enough for runnin'." |

"Now, I'm not a clothes-person. Fits it fits and I'm not putting on some fancy thing. I bought this outfit years ago, thanfully I haven't grown. Though a bit wouldn't have hurt. Nice loosey pants makes it fun to fly around. All that flappin' noise. Kinda like cards on a bike. Cool ya know? Plus pockets? Nngh love pockets! They're big enough to stick a whole thing of lighter fluid into! Well, a tight fit and it leaks abit but still. Awesome. Plus, blue is my awesome ultimate favorite color! See if you can guess why. Shoes are matchy match and sturdy. Like 'they've been brunt up and still work' sturdy. Ahaha, guess this leaves my shirt. Only piece I have that I choose for a personal reason. Reason being so I could look like a ^%$^ girl! I mean seriously! Any shirt that covers my stomach and bam! Girls start hitting on me. Very awkward. So, little tube top going on and suddenly its all clear. Plus, guys dig it sometimes. And it does not make me look cheap. Shuddap mom. |

Last question was lame, so I thought of a better one. Since, with our continuity, and our... what, pig-theme parodies going, it'd be less entertaining to answer this one IC, I think, so I give you the... First OOC Question of the Week: Find your character's closest comic book(or movie or video game) equivalent; what are the similarities, and what are the differences? Post pictures if you can! |

I don't think it's a mystery to anyone what the greatest inspiration for Wild Badge is. But there is one in particular that I borrowed heavily from for his "police officer" theme, and that is DekaBreak, from Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGJ_JHCqUD0 Note the Blue, white and yellow scheme, and the front and center VI logo on the body of the suit(much like Badge's W). Other than color scheme though, his similarities to this character in particular are kind of limited. He monologues and poses, but... Wild Badge is a homage to Super Sentai in general, and not just this one character. That sort of thing is common among all of them. |

I didn't have anything in mind that I actually actively based Rock off of, but when I saw Under the Red Hood (the recent animated version, never read the comics), I thought Jason Todd's Red Hood was stylistically similar. Biker/military chic, with knives, guns, Batman-level resourcefulness, brutality toward enemies... Knife-fighting. Guns. And, though it's kind of a weak connection, there's also Rock's first name being Lazarus, and the whole thing involving The Red Hood and the "Lazarus" Pit. Rock does not do this, though. Nor is he as nuts. |

(re:Mako) I really, really want to say "Aquaman", but that's too cheap a shot, I think. Since he didn't really take inspiration from anywhere (starting life as a 5-minute doodle in Economics class, and a personality in ten minutes as I finally got the courage to join but realized I had no character I could use, so I dragged out his design) I'll just go with his counterparts in retrospect: I think his closest real-world fictional counterpart, character-wise, is Rory Insomuch that he's: A. Constantly relegated to a 'sidekick' role B. Aware of the universe's disdain for him, and C. (At least initially) getting repeatedly dragged into things he really, really doesn't want to get dragged into, and gets a bit snarky about it (And he's also surprisingly capable when it comes to it. Rory punches Hitler, Mako tackles Seven, same diff.) oh and he's also completely adorkable. ... Or possibly the Cowardly Lion. I really shouldn't need to explain this. |

I've not made a post for Apex yet, but the closest being which seems to resemble him in some way is Red Dwarf's Kryten. This is mostly due to his constant desire to serve others in some way but having enough of a personality to let others influence his being and think for himself. His extreme loyalty and the fact his initial lack of a owner is another possible comparison to make, though I don't think he'll be quite so overly "dorkish". The other possibility is MegaMan, mostly due to his abilities, but I don't know enough about him to make any comparisons. |

"I spend too much time pissed off for anything to really alleviate it anymore. Kinda just try to ignore it, but when that's not an option (and really, it's gettin' to be problematic how frequently that applies), I'll usually chew on Rock's ear for a while, and if not his, Caruso's. Otherwise, I've found writing's a decent outlet, and, most a' what I come up idn't really band-usable, but we've gotten a couple decent numbers out of my mood swings, so hell." "When all that fails, hittin' stuff works surprisingly well, I've found. Or running, or really anything super physical; doesn' exactly make you feel better, per se, but if you can totally drain your reserves, I mean, completely exhaust yourself, it's hard to dedicate whatever you got left to bein' mad." "Mostly, I am become very quiet when trouble. Angry or sad come hand in hand with frustration a lot, and is difficult to know when bad feeling because slight or injustice, or simple miscommunicate. Always is better to think first. Reflect, and then act. Sometimes, not always is time for thinking, but still better to try anyway." "When hard situation is persistent, I try to go alone to think in quiet time, maybe with po cha or tea, or maybe lose in a book, and just forget bad things for some time." |

"I kinda go with the whole 'writing a letter and tearing it up' thing. Only not a letter really. I just take whatever really reminds me of the problem and burn it. Yeah, maybe I am a one trick pony but heck if it doesn't work. Just sitting there watching the anger and frustration turn into ash is the best therapy for me." "Wether its something I can just toss like a sweater or a book and even something bigger I do it when the time comes. Even once made a scarecrow thingy. That was pretty awkward actually. If I don't have the time or I'm somewhere with sprinklers I just kinda shove it inside till I can raise up a bonfire. Those are the best nights sometimes. Sitting around eating 'fondue' and watching your problems go up in smoke." "If only everything worked like that." |

Quote: "If only everything worked like that." "Heehehyeah, wouldn't that be nice. But then there's that whole... law thing. Stupid law. For me, I guess... eehh it depends on if I'm angry or just sad. If I'm angry, that's easy enough to deal with, 'cause I can just play a video game, or watch a movie, or... really almost anything fun, and I can just take my mind off it. And when that's over, I'm usually in a better place in my head to think it through logically." "If I'm sad, though... ...Hhhmmmhhh, that usually hits a lot harder. I just kinda shut up and shut down, try and go to sleep if it's really bad. Not much can really help it 'cept for a sad song and a pillow to cry in. But, now that Danny's... finally back, I don't think that'll be happening as often. I'm on the road to a new beginning! Yes. Yes. I can... yeah." "I, uh..." "S'gonna be great." "...I just tend to go on walks, really. The more pissed, or sad I am, the longer the walk. I try to go for a park, or someplace where there's notta whole lotta people. If I can't do that or sit with Caz about it... I usually jus' end up bottling it up and blowing it in someone's face at the worst time possible." "...Maybe I should take up yoga or somethin', I dunno. Meditation $%@&. Maybe I'll learn somethin'." "Flexibility is never overrated." |

(Eh, why not.) "Sports are good. I mean, when I don't beat the crap outta whoever ticked me off, I just work out. Jogging's been my thing for a while, but if I can, I'll try out baseball. Y'know, those automatic pitchin' machines. Swing an' swing an' swing 'til I can't hold the bat anymore... Course, nothin' beats just giving a chump a good haymaker. Or throwing them through a window...or door...or table...or aquarium...or off a roof... If they don't get up, I don't feel like hitting them anymore. I used to go boxing at the gym but then I started thinking that it'd mess up my face sooner or later, an' I forget about the punching bags a lot. I should probably get one." "I'm the kind of guy who uses work to take my mind off things. Ever try coding while angry? It's impossible to stay mad or upset when you're staring at lines and lines of symbols and words, keeping track of their functions and what they all connect to--it takes up all your focus after a while. They're almost hypnotic. For when I'm really on-edge though, car tuning does wonders. There's always something to be fixed or tweaked. Maybe buying new parts and tools whenever I'm ticked off isn't good for my wallet, but I prefer a couple of money troubles over moping around my home. Heck, just turning on the radio all the way and sitting down to buff out dents and scratches is nice. I'd get them all the time when I used to...drive a lot. Funny thing though, driving has never really calmed me down. You'd think it would, but it doesn't for me." |
