The rushing waters quickly ensnared the cat and whisked him away with more power than he could easily swim against. The smooth, concrete canal walls quashed any hope of escaping to the side. Within seconds, he was gone, vanished into the mist of the roiling waters.

The window he had jumped out of seconds prior was quietly closed from the inside. Behind the glass was quite the horrible specter, or would have been if he wasn't completely and totally in the flesh, living, and unharmed. It was Li Fang, plainly uninjured. The silhouettes of both his employees could be seen behind him, as well, standing unfazed.

It was as if none of it had even happened.
