It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

Silver Sonic's sturdy frame was utterly unaffected. Utterly. It was like trying to fight a statue—A statue made of steel. But, his insides had something different to say.

The robot had suffered multiple exploding things, many missed attacks (that resulted in ramming into something hard), intentional ramming to burrow through the mountain itself, and a blast that sent it flying across the industrial city. Its eye lenses were cracked and busted looking, and it was covered with dents and char marks. As much as it seemed the young man's strikes were doing nothing, there were irregular noises beginning to come from inside the 'bot.

Nonetheless, it raised its free hand, straightened its bizarre gun-fingers, and pointed all five point-blank into Sheffer's face. It was so close that the normally quiet, shrill, increasing "charging" noise from its capacitors was clearly audible. ... And so was a bad crackling sound. Then came the inevitable blast.

Bang.

... The panel on the back of the thing's hand burst off and sparks spewed out like water from a garden hose. Electricity arced up its arm, and its head tilted, jerked, and jolted in a series of small seizures. Then, a high whir draaained down to a low one, like something electronic was winding down inside it, and, releasing Sheffer, it dropped to one knee on the ground, and froze there. It no longer moved, but instead just emitted a "bzz-bzzt"-like noise at regular intervals, as its shorted electronics periodically sent electricity surging across its body, making it unsafe to touch.

Sheffer had stared frightfully into the robot's weapon, hearing the whir of it charging, only to feel himself drop seconds later, landing on the ground with an "Oof!". He took the opportune chance to scramble away from Silver Sonic, digging his hands into the dirt as he hurriedly scooted back. Looking up to the robot, he was surprised to find it twitching and jolting, sparks of electricity running across its body until if finally fell to a knee.

Cocking an eyebrow, Sheffer glanced down to the pipe in his hand, then back to the synthetic hedgehog. Had he... had he actually beat the thing? No, it had to be something else... there was no way on heaven or earth he had actually managed to defeat such a creation.

Standing up carefully, his eyes never leaving Silver Sonic, he walked around it in caution. Still feeling confused, he walked backwards to his board, not wanting to put his back to the robot. Eventually, he reached it, pulling it off the ground and swiping some dust off its surface, glancing to Silver Sonic one more time.

It still sat there, unmoving, electricity apparently shooting across its armored shell. Not having much else to do (and his escape vehicle already in hand) Sheffer raised his arm, throwing the metal pipe straight towards the hedgehog, watching it spin through the air. Hopefully it would hit its target.

The pipe struck, and Silver Sonic lurched and twisted to face Sheffer with fiercely glowing eyes, and sent a raking spew of plasma bolts through the air with its one good hand. They all missed pretty badly, but they did hit some nearby structures, which started dropping potentially hazardous debris.

It then lapsed back into inactivity once more. Maybe it'd be best not to disturb it.

The 3D, translucent image of President Towers floating in the air did not reply to Eggman's greeting. He instead glared holes through the doctor, and remained rigid. News microphones were visible in the image in front of him, as was a podium; he was clearly broadcasting, and this made Eggman all the happier.

"... Don't keep me in suspense, Mr. President," said Eggman, still grinning like the cheshire cat. "If you hold that unpleasant face too long, it'll freeze that way, you know. Do you have an answer or not?"

Towers' unpleasant face did not change. "I have an answer," he replied.

"And?" blurted Eggman like an impatient little child, leaning forward in his seat, wringing his hands.

"After careful consideration, my advisers, chief of defense, and I have come to a decision," he stated flatly. (Eggman looked ready to froth at the mouth over his surely-ensuing victory.) "We have unanimously agreed that you can go to hell."

The rotund doctor's brow line wrinkled fiercely upward and his jaw nearly hit the floor for a split second, before he immediately lit up with rage and slapped at the volumetric display on impulse, then began stomping the floor of his Egg Mobile.

"You dare talk to me like that?! You—You said that on live TV, didn't you!!" he spat incredulously, very nearly babbling his words. He leapt to his feet in his vehicle and begin jutting his finger through the image. "I'm your future emperor, dog!! Whether you like it or not! And after I finish obliterating your capital city, I'll drop the rest of your entire impudent little continent beneath the sea for that comment!"

He heaved a couple quick breaths, then really inhaled like he was gonna let the president have it for another few rounds... but then closed his mouth, exhaled out his nose, and whipped his head off to one side like a wounded child. Sinisterly, he hissed, "You have sealed your fate," and disconnected the transmission.

He then crankily seized the control stick of his craft, and heaved it roughly around, blasting the Egg Mobile too quickly and harshly through the opening of his tower, such that he severely bashed and dinged the doorframe and made a loud crashing noise once inside. The metal door tried to hiss shut behind him, but got stuck with a crooked grate and grind.

As Rock sat there resting, staring at the sparking mess of the turret's former mount, he had an idea. It was one of those idle, destructive thoughts, the sort that had no particular goal, but seemed like a good (that is, bad for the enemy) thing to do. So, he reached down, grabbed the thick, broken power conduit, and pulled what little slack he could get out with some brute force. He then pressed the frayed of the thick cable against the dangling chain next to the platform, and sent untold amounts of electricity surging up through the antenna said chain was hanging from.

Sparks exploded from above in a wild shower, and lights all over the structure flickered and dimmed. The remaining turrets froze in place, and their guns dipped and sagged low, robbed momentarily of power thanks to the unintended circuit formed by the destructive monkey's curious actions.

Feeling entirely satisfied with himself, and somehow energized (if only in a morale sense) by making things explode and stop working, the cruelly grinning primate tossed the cable aside, grabbed the chain, and rapidly ascended remainder of its length before the tripped breaker (or whatever it was) could be corrected. Swinging off at the top, and landing on that same mid-level platform Eggman had been on just moments prior, he quickly dispatched with a pair of smaller gun-turrets with similar brute force to what he'd used earlier, and very shortly before power returned, too; just as the second one was getting ripped off the platform and chucked into the lava far below, the lights came back on, and business resumed as usual.

He looked back to the half-jammed door, but hesitated to enter the inevitable tower of doom alone. Instead, he surveyed the small platform upon which he stood, and quickly homed in on an important looking lever jutting out of a small, bulky, metal box mounted on the floor.

"DOCKING RAMP RELEASE"

He looked at the ledge, and noted that there did seem to be a natural "edge" to it, like something was supposed to go there. So, he tried his luck, and pulled at the lever.

Locked. There was a security device next to it, equipped with a keyhole and what looked like some sort of keypad and digital interface. Rock blinked at the device a couple times, and stood there in relative silence.

Then, he punched it. Plan B—Rock's favorite plan.

And he punched it again, and again, and again, until the security device was all but entirely unrecognizable, and the metal panel upon which it was mounted buckled in so badly that the corners came unriveted, and stood up. He then grabbed one, yanked the panel off, fiddled around inside for a moment, tore a thick wire free, and bridged the electrical contact that the big lever would have made a circuit with had it been flipped.

Sure enough, the edge of the platform jutted outward, and a long, metal ramp began to quickly extend upward from the ground far below, near the chasm's edge. With more force than was necessary, the huge ramp rammed into the tower and connected, forming a long, steep walking path for those who remained below.

"I think he's jus' showin' off...," Ace commented to the side. Sure, he might've had the whole wide-eyed 'what the hell are you doing' startled kind of reaction at first, but by the time he started beating up a turret with his bare hands, it gradually shifted into the wry, tight-lipped irritation/bemusement (with perhaps a hint of jealousy?) he expressed now.

"Look at 'em, he's totally showin' off." (As Rock began punching out all the other turrets little brothers and sisters.) Regardless, the whole time Ace crossed his arms and tilted his head at Rock's antics, there lay a crooked smile tugging gently at the corner of his lips. When the ramp shuffled down, he seemed to keep the same manner, semi-dramatically whipping his palm in from of Jam before cautioning her: "Careful. He might punch out the ramp, too."

...He ended up walking up there anyway, either way.

As irritated as she may have been with the brawl-happy simian mere seconds earlier, Jam rather hypocritically didn't take Ace's apparent animosity (however understated) very well. And though she didn't act or comment on it, when the violence-prone primate's action yielded a stairway to heaven for them (and a rather convenient one, at that), she smirked superciliously at the serval's wry commentary, and shrugged as he passed.

"F'it needs punching, he'll punch it," muttered the monkey coolly, allowing her shield to fizzle into inactivity, as she stepped onto their gangplank behind Ace with a casual air. "What can I say? The man gets things done."

Yeah, definitely not doing that again... Sheffer thought, shocked still on the spot. Fortunately enough, he had not been hit by the robot's angered attack, but he swore the blasted thing had singed one of his quills. Not bothering to check if this was true, the green hedgehog took the best option in the current circumstances; get the hell out of there.

Without any hesitation, Sheffer was quickly back on his board, speeding off in a whoosh of air, leaving Silver Sonic (and all the troubles it had brought him) far behind as he sped off down the crater, questioning why he was going back to the center. It wasn't like there was anything down there, except for that tower-

He quickly found a reason.

A large ramp had been somehow created between solid ground and the tower, its incline leading up to a gaping opening on the side of the metal contraption. He already could see a few people clambering up the ramp, no doubt going to see what lay within the tower's walls. Curiosity instantly taking over, Sheffer swerved over to the ramp, not bothering to stop as he rode over the metal walkway.

Soon, he approached the few that were walking up, jumping off his board when he was only a few feet back. Now walking, he waited for the others to notice him... if they even bothered to, that is.

As Kyle flitted back into Toby's arms, the boy scooped him up, giving him a gratuitous noogie. "Way to go, ya little munchkin!"

Kyle giggled and squealed as he tried unsuccessfully to break free from Toby's grip. "Aaaaah!!! Tiji ba ju be!! Aaaaah!! Heeheheee!!"

By the time our boarding buddy let his tiny clone go, Rock was off and crackin' on his mission to bust skulls and wreak havoc on anything and everything in his path. In fact, Toby might very well have attempted to join him simply because it looked hella fun, if it weren't for the fact that he was so dumbstruck by the sudden explosion of aggression. "Whoa... Whoa!! Kyle, check this out!!" The dynamic duo stared, mouths gaping, down at the white wrecking ball below that was just crapping destruction in every direction. "Lookit... didja... OHMYGOSH!! HE'S JUST PUNCHING IT!!"

Kyle squealed in delight as Rock pummeled and shocked his way through the merry-go-round of mechanical obstacles. The little guy even started pantomiming itty-bitty punches as he stared on, giddy at the performance Rock was putting on. "Biti ka ba!! Shoo, shoo!! Hee!!" Kyle continued to make sound effects to accompany his shadow boxing.

Before long, in what could be considered the icing on the cake to Rock's s***-storm spectacular, the monkey marauder forcefully knocked down a ramp for the group to join him on his victory pedestal. Thanks to him paving the way, they could all play big bad wolf and bust through the door of Eggman's proverbial house of bricks. Still taking in the scene, Toby and Kyle were the last to head up the ramp, finishing up the spectacle with a two-man round of applause. "That. Was. Wicked." Toby tossed his board to the ground and hopped on, casting a glance back to his chao companion. "...You better not get any ideas like this when we get home. Mom'll murder you."

Kyle just giggled mischievously. Who could tell what was going on inside his devious little mind.

From there, it was catch up time. Toby hit the board's boost, and flew up the ramp, quickly catching up to the rest of his motley crew of acquaintances. On his was to rejoin the two he'd actually met, Cotton rode past the green guy with a death wish he had seen earlier. His hand flew back in a quick wave. "Hey dude, glad to see you're alive!" With that, he whizzed past the hedgehog, rejoining the monkey and the cat on their way up.

"Uh, thanks?" he said to the yellow rodent's back as he whooshed by.

And I appreciate the help... he thought hollowly. The kangaroo rat must have at least noticed his "fight" due to that comment, and he had to wonder why he hadn't tried to give any assistance. Probably because of Sheffer's complete boldness in doing so... or stupidity.

Continuing the climb up the ramp, he was welcomed by empty air. No one had bothered to come back and speak to him, but how could he blame them? All he had manage to do was somehow take down (or at least temporarily stop) Silver Sonic, and the only reason being was it had been chasing him. The green hedgehog's role had been purely a decoy for whatever antics the others were up to... antics that had obviously been successful, do to the current trek of making it to the tower, perched high above the lava.

By the time the crew got to the top of what was basically a very, very, very long gangplank, Rock was messing with the jacked-up, partially-open door that Eggman had damaged. He was trying to pull it up, to no avail. It was well jammed, and a quick fit check resulted in nothing but the fellow very nearly getting his head stuck. (He managed to avert embarrassment and pull free before anyone reached the top, though.)

The worn-out primate dusted himself off, turned to the others as they arrived, and greeted them with one of those curt, upwards nods and a tired grin. He took pause, though, looking between each individual—Ace, Jam, Toby (and Kyle!), and Sheffer
(and possibly Tails if John has time to post) had all made their way up.

"Heh! Look at'chu guys," muttered Rock quietly, but jovially. Their odds had gone up considerably, if only by the blessing of numbers. He seemed to be looking at the hedgehog in particular at length, though, as if thinking something.

"Hey, Spiny," he eventually called out past the rest of the group to Sheffer. "Got a sec?"

It took a moment for Sheffer to realize he was being spoken to, having been preoccupied with staring at the jammed door. His eyes immediately darted over to the primate, blinking for a moment. The hedgehog took a step forward then, growing closer to the group, his board stuck under his arm.

"Er, yeah. Not much else to do at the moment," he said, wondering what the monkey needed him for.

"You able to do that spinny thing Sonic does?" Rock asked, motioning toward the aforementioned obstacle. "I mean, don't do it if it's gonna rip your clothes off or nothin', just askin'."

Sheffer glanced between the door and white monkey a few times, a hand raising to the back of his neck, rubbing it lightly.

"Yeah, yeah I can," he said, eying the door. "But what? You want me to break through that?"

"Psh, it's already busted up," replied the confident monkey as he strolled over to it, and gave it a punch. (It didn't budge, and he discreetly clasped his hand in pain shortly after, but kept dignity and made absolutely no face indicating it.) "It just needs a good, heavy hit, and maybe it'll at least unjam so we can lift it up."

"Well.... alright, I'll see what I can do," he said, placing his board down onto the metal platform. Walking the few steps forward, he looked the door over for a minute, thinking. He had never done such a task as smashing through a sheet of metal before, and he wasn't entirely confident that he could actually do anything to it in the first place... but he might as well try.

Positioning himself hastily, he rolled forward, a high pitched whine forming as he spun, his building momentum turning his body into a spiked blur. After a few seconds of spinning, he finally released the pent up energy, charging forward straight into the metal door. With a solid crunch, the door bent in slightly, sharpened quills screeching across the metal.

Just as it seemed the hedgehog would lose his velocity, the door gave another groan, then finally flew forward a couple feet, landing with a bang. Sheffer fell from the position then, landing on his feet clumsily, looking down at the door with moderate surprise.

"How about that..." he muttered, glancing back to the group.
