Reason behind this nonsense: The chat login is inseparably linked to the forum login, so it doesn't really matter what you enter into the chat login field if you're already logged onto the forum in any capacity. The forum will override anything that you put in the boxes, to such a degree that you can actually just leave all the fields blank and still log into the chat so long as your forum cookie is still active.

Thus, you need to log out on the forums, and log back in. THE MORE YOU KNOW.
