It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

Feeling a little more comfortable with his newly obtained weapon, Geoff managed to fire a few more rounds at whoever decided to still bother lingering around the camp. The sight of the flashing energy almost gave the hedgehog a sense of proper control in this fight, something that had been long absent in previous, aggressive encounters that spanned the last few months of his life. He may have been grinning.

However, the targets soon were gone or downed, but Geoff hastily remembered the greatest threat still present; Flex.

He turned almost casually on a heel to face the bear, his finger ready to release another onslaught of energy— but he paused.

Geoff blinked.

It took himself a moment to realize he was about to see a fantastic impact of horse and grizzly.

Sure enough, Flex was still reenacting a native dance on the hilltop, chanting to the heavens in a way only he could.

"--SMUGSHITTINGCORKSHORTHORSE-TRADINGAPPLEPLIERS--"

No guesses as to what deity would respond to it all, though. In all actuality, it was very possible that he could already see again, and he was just blowing off steam.

"--SLIMESHININGASSCRASHERTICKINGMYMMMAAARRRRSBARS--" *PAF*

When suddenly, unicorn foot. The grizzly toppled other rather... abruptly, and didn't seem to be making any movements at all, let alone sudden movements. Instead, he just lay their, obviously still conscious judging by his bared fangs and clenched eyes, but he hardly resembled a threat, like this. Maybe he just needed to chill out for a bit.

"...dang it," he said.

"...ah."

"...dang it."

Looking down at the commotion, the ferret became quite bewildered at the events that seemed to be taking place below. A cat spray painted a bear in the face, a unicorn kept getting launched to and fro across the battlefield, and then the rag tag team (most not in uniform) seemed to be gaining an upper hand.

Before he fired two rounds at the goons taking leave from their defeat, a muscular eagle grabbed them by their necks and slammed them together by which seemed to be no real effort. "Quite impressive," he mused.

Seeing as the tables have turned he decided that the squad in question were fighting for a possibly good cause. "I'll just wait awhile longer" he thought as he chewed on the remainders of his bread, scope aimed at the shark whose motives still looked questionable.

Ace's knuckles popped Juke right in the forehead. This could have been very bad for the attacker if he had been dealing with a tougher target, but Juke was a tomato of a man, and as such, his skull became the only major casualty of the impact, and reverberated appropriately.

"Hagh!"

The bat staggered backward faster than his feet could keep up, fell onto his back, and almost rolled over backwards, feet reaching pretty high before he again flopped flat. He rolled onto his side, holding his bruised head and wincing and grunting, and writhed there, scuffing up dirt and either trying to crawl away, or get to his feet, or something, but lacking the coordination to do it yet.

"D-damn, ghhh..."

And with that... silence.

All attackers were down, either unconscious or just plain done fighting.

She had see the gleam of glass over that little spot so close by. Amidst the chaos there had been a shot fired from that spot. Despite the fact she had ducked to get away from the bullets, Ember find herself attempting to sneak up there. As much as she could anyways. Besides, the other guys had all that junk under control. Probably.

After much ducking, she managed to get somewhat close to him as she snucked along a rock. Okay, he wasn't a robot. Score one. He wasn't dead so score two. For a moment she just watched him munch on something. There was a gun beside him but he didn't fire at her group yet. Score three? Touchdown.

Pushing herself atop the rock, she called out to him.

"Hey blondie! What's a-cookin?"

Gesturing to the gun, she went on, "Good job hitting the right guy by and by Mr. Hotshot."

Because of course, announcing yourself to a stranger with a gun was the best possible action.

It took Geoff a moment to realize that frantic movement had ceased around the camp and the battle was now won, the results completely in their favor for the most part. Glancing around to the downed bear, bat, and other various species, he gave out a pent up sigh, letting the alertness brought along by the fight fade away. He glanced to the energy-shotgun resting in his hands.

Thunk went the weapon as it was unceremoniously dropped from his hands.

"...is it me, or could that have gone a lot worse?"

...

"Except, ya know, for uh..." Dark colored- oh right. "Shadow. Anybody, er, get him?"

"Don't," Ace advised sternly, pointing a finger and a no-nonsense expression in Juke's direction. "It's over. Stay down." With that said, he made his way behind the bat, near the crates, and wordlessly scooped up one of the extra guns that Juke was initially reaching for. Why would Juke need another gun? Because the first one stopped working. Why did it stop working? Because a bullet found its way into it. Was there anyone with a conventional gun here? Nope.

In truly the blink of an eye, the serval wheeled around with the gun's sights in his eyes, and pointed the barrel at the new new guy-- only to drop it with a bewildered stare when he caught the little firebird just chatting it up with the guy. He sighed. "Ember!" he called out. "Do you know that guy!?"

Juke was unfortunately more known for being persistent than, say, compliant, or smart. As such, the grunting, wobbling mess of a bat ignored Ace's advice and pulled himself up by his bootstraps, against the throbbing urges of his head and his common sense crying out not to. First, up to a knee, then, a cock-sided stand.

He squinted around behind his dark sunglasses, looking both irked and pained, but quickly regaining his senses. He wasn't doing anything aggressive anymore, though.

Interestingly, Midian did... just the opposite. It was kind of odd, but the jackal's eyes seemed to spread into a thousand yard stare, and his gait became staggered and awkward. Without any other warning than his unfocused, dazed expression, he dropped to one knee, hacked a single, nasty-sounding cough, and groped around for something to grab to stay upright.

"What the Hell...!?"

The serval's eyes darted back and forth between the sniper, the bat, and the felled old jackal before finally settling on the last of the three. Hopefully the sniper would stick to his plan of not shooting anyone, and Juke was at least street-wise enough to realize when he'd been beaten. As something of a backup, Ace informed him to "not do anything stupid" before he blasted off in Midian's direction. And perhaps to everyone's surprise, he really took off, to the point where he had to slide a little on the sand to stop and kneel beside him. He shouldn't have to wait long for something to grab on, when Ace was already keeping him from falling.

"Hey. Hey! Midian! Are you alright?"

Kazz and Dennis: It's nearing the 48 hour mark. Please post. Kazz: Please have Mako finally finish getting Shadow out of the pond and Rodolf react following the successful attack on Flex. Dennis: Someone finally noticed your character (Ember and Ace). Don't leave them hanging. Interact now or you'll just have to start over again in another thread.

Rodolf elected not to say very much in the wake of his, er, unique... assault on Flex, merely walking away from the bear-- relatively fast, in fact, as though cautious that he might stir himself and decide to throw the unicorn into the lake again.
And then he caught eye of Ember all but strolling on up to a stranger.

He still remained close-lipped, but furrowed his brow just so slightly, keeping his eye on the bird and the stranger, even as Midian became quite suddenly indisposed off to the side.

Meanwhile, a decent pause after Geoff's comment about Shadow, his question was answered by a shark breeching the surface of the water with dreary-coloured hedgehog in hand.
"Friggin' frig-frig," Mako mumbled, having to swim somewhat awkwardly on the surface, using only one arm and his tail (with some sporratic kicking), considering his fuzzy cargo in tow. With the sort of flailing usually reserved for his on-dry-land movement, he managed to drag himself over to solid ground and swiftly deposited the dark hedgehog. "Remind me to never be a lifeguard."

As the would-have-been ambush fizzled out into little more than a momentary remedy for boredom, Tabitha's graceful lope cantered off into a purposeful stride toward their scuzzy purple snitch. The cat's narrowed icy blues flickered momentarily to Midian concerned attendant; she paused mid-step to cast a torn grimace at the jackal, but perhaps surprisingly, ultimately moved on to step up to bat (or, the bat, more accurately).

"Talk," she ordered, her tone uncharacteristically sharp. "Who else knows we're here?"

"Nobody," spat Juke curtly, still a little slumped over and surly from getting beat up on and having his plan foiled. It was hard to tell if he was telling the truth.

Midian wavered but stayed upright owing to Ace's support. For a few seconds, there, he went completely limp, but a few more coughs later, he was shaking his head and regaining mental acuity.

"M'fine," he muttered. "Just a-a condition. ... It'll shake off." He swallowed heavily, took a deep and sudden breath, and straightened up, steadying his crouch and looking more directly at Ace—still not eye contact, as it was more at his be-hoodied chest, but an improvement, at least. "Take care of the traitor for now. I'll keep."

Coop appeared.

“That bat’s disappeared, huh?” he said. “Hrnmg.” Then:

“Look,” he said to Juke. “you—what is that. Is that coffee?”

He sniffed. He looked around at the situation.

“Huh,” he said, before turning back to Juke.

“I am going to scrub out the coffee maker with your face if you don’t say something right now,” he said, matter-of-factly.

“Shadow!”

Tails hurtled over to where the hedgehog was being lifted out of the water.

He grabbed onto one of the hedgehogs’ arms and helped as best as he could, quickly feeling the hedgehog’s chest and for both a pulse and signs of breathing.

No signs of life from Shadow.

...

"Haghk!"

He jolted upright with a cough, spitting and choking raggedly on water. He was going to be alright, from the looks of it. He just needed a moment.

Turning control of the character over to Sheff from this point on.
