Updates Sonic Spindash RP is closed.Founded 05/25/2002 by three friends; ended 09/19/2012.
It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.
Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.
I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.
I love you guys. God bless.
-M

Meanwhile, above, a battle raged. Which is to say, Coop chased Juke like the bird of prey he was, while Juke flitted about like a genuine bat, twitching and darting through the sky in a way so spastic that only a bird having a seizure could imitate. It wasn't efficient, but it was keeping him in the clear for the time being. The only question was how long he could keep dodging the hulking eagle.
"Just lemme alone Coopmore!" barked the grungy-voiced bat in a tone slightly more shrill than usual. "You'd'a done it too if you thought you could actually pull it off!"

“I could pull it off,” muttered Coop, darkly—and pulled away. He began to climb into the sky in an attempt to gain height, then he spoke aloud.
“Don’t try that—“ he yelled after the bat, “doesn’t matter what I’d do—you’re coming back with me or you’re going to—“ he took a deep breath as he pulled at the air to gain a few more feet of solid feet over the bat.
“Or you’re going to die out here.”
He began to angle himself above the bad, trying to keep the bat roughly within some given distance in his head without having to flail about to keep directly in line with him. He stared down at the bat, his eyes roving between him and the desert floor below them.
He smiled a horrible smile. Whatever condition he was searching for had been met. He let go of the air, and fell down—arms outstretched to receive the bat in a bear-hug that would take them both straight to the ground.

Tails was staring at the fallen beetle, absent-mindedly, when Tabby caught his attention. He caught the computer absent-mindedly and went back to staring at the robot with a tight-lipped, chin-jutting stare of disapproval. He narrowed his eyes, as if challenging the robot to reveal its secrets.
He looked at the computer.
“Huh? Oh, yeah!”
He walked over to the box, and rummaged around for one of the cables. He picked it up and inspected it.
“Yeah, it seems so..! But... how did he find us?”
He looked around, “he couldn’t have followed us all night, could he?"

"There's a GPS tracker in the flash drive I gave you," gloated Seven with maximum smuggery and bragginess through the falsely-dormant robot's speaker. "I knew where you were the instant you plugged it in."
Wasn't he supposed to be done talking at them? He clearly wasn't done spying on them.

breeeeEEEEEEEEEE
Geoff threw himself into a spin so fast and unexpectedly a ring of dust was thrown out around him.
...
Wait.
Was he going...
...backwards?
EEEEE-KAPWANG
A crystallized foot was thrown into an accelerated upward kick, the results of such a high velocity attack meeting a fragile robot instantaneous. Metal burst in an annihilating eruption. Pieces of the G.U.N. Beetle flew in every which way from the sudden impact. An optic sensor — with a trail of wires following it, no less — rocketed into the sky as one of the few intact pieces, the bit of robot seeming to glint high above before disappearing all together.
The whole maneuver had brought the hedgehog to a standstill, Geoff staring calmly at the wreck that once was Seven's communication with a calm, silent satisfaction.

Tabitha watched the spectacle surprisingly nonplussed. She blinked, watching the poor, innocent GUN Beetle splay into what would be the equivalent of a victim in a robot slasher flick, and then to its green assailant, who looked just a little too pleased with himself considering
"You know, he can probably still hear us, and watch us, and talk at us, and... track our every move with these things, right?," asked the striped feline evenly, wiggling the third handheld computer indicatively.

"Oh, now, let's not rob the simpleminded of their simple pleasures," chided Seven through the handheld computer's tiny speaker.

Tabitha sighed a concisely disappointed breath, looked very deliberately at Geoff, and reminded, "These need to stay functional."

"OOF."
Juke's shades went crooked. He plummeted in Coop's feathery and uncomfortably-muscly embrace. He had been mouthing off and pleading and generally arguing with the big bird the whole way. Now, though?
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."
That was all he had to say. They had a little over a thousand feet to go.

Ace, however, could be seen roughly four feet away, apparently far too busy grinding what looked like the Beetle's speakers under his heel to notice much else.
