It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.
Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.
I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.
I love you guys. God bless.

"..."
If ever there was a moment where crickets would have been appropriate, that was it. Right there.
"..."
Still going.
"You're all very suspicious," the Egg Robo concluded brilliantly. "But you're not who we're looking for. We'll just... have a little look around."
The Egg Robo made a highly dynamic, squad-appropriate hand signal, dispersing his teammates to begin their sweep of the perimeter. "Everybody just stay out of the way," he then cautioned, solemnly.
While his crew poked around, mindlessly picked up rocks to look under them, and did other completely useless things (including breaking at least two pieces of ancient pottery to see what was inside), the apparent leader of the squad eyed Big scrutinizingly.
"You're familiar. ... What's your name?"

While the lead Egg Robo was questioning Big, Midian took a couple steps forward, glanced around, then turned with his back to the squad and lowly said something aside to his co-conspirators.
"Say, you know... These older ones?" He gestured with a few flicks of his eyes toward the Egg Robos (a slightly dated Eggman design). "No distress beacons in them. Hm?"
He smiled in a terrible, devious way that very clearly said "no one would miss them."

The red haze of Aga's hilariously impotent rage parted when Midian's words reached his ears. The situation finally had a glimmer of hope, both for them getting away and for delivering revenge for any potential squandered knowledge from the reckless robots' rampage. He nodded slowly, putting his hand on the MagnaGrap, ready to attack as soon as he was sure that the others were ready to go as well.

Big blinked a couple times and tilted his head at the robot. "No."
Last he had checked (and he had checked pretty recently!), his name was not, in fact, 'What'. One really had to wonder if he was doing this on purpose.

It was in the midst of the world's most relieved sigh that the jackal spoke to the serval below him (and Ace would be below him, unless he too had fell to a hands-on-knees position), and it was directly after that said serval's spirits were significantly lightened. After a beat for effect, Ace's eyes perked up in Midian's direction with a very particular visage that seemed to say, 'Really now?'
"'Ell, tha's good to know...," he mumbled just loudly enough to not be heard by the freshly surfaced invaders. And so, he stood himself with a newfound confidence, as if the problem had been solved already. And perhaps in his eyes, it may very well have been. He glanced back to the others (excluding Big, of course) with a subtle nod, and stepped forward, behind the closest EggRobo that wasn't busy getting confused by the giant purple cat.
"Hey, uh, Mister Robot," he spoke, approaching with a cautious causality. "I think I found something your team might wanna see."

The gun-toting Egg Robo, distracted from Big's bizarre answer, wheeled about immediately when addressed.
"Exhibit your findings at once, guttersnipe!" it ordered most loftily.

Ace paused for a moment to look up in a serenely distant meditation, as if he were trying to find the answers in the gray matter between his ears (or eyes, whatever).
'Guttersnipe? Is that a thing?'
But he shook it off, and looked eye-to-optics at the robot once more. "Yeah, check it out," he stated plainly, turning around to reach into whatever hammer space he had behind him. "This might be the Eggman Empire's greatest threat yet." Ultimately, he produced what appeared to be the ace of spades. But something about it was indeed remarkably different from any other playing card. This was glowing with an odd sort of aura, blue in color and somehow cold in nature.
And with the EggRobo leader left to examine this outlandish article, Ace waited for the one moment where its interest was greatest, and swiftly stomped his foot forward. A small cloud of dust picked up at the impact; the vertical-fisted sucker punch that followed might have just went through the bot's body had his fingers not been clenched, with enough follow through to bowl over three of them. He was likely showing off at this point, yes, but that's lower-level Eggbots were made for, right?
Should it either hit or miraculously miss, the serval would wheel around like greased lightning, and toss the card he'd been charging in the direction of the next closest foe.
"Now!" he shouted over his shoulder, hoping Big might at least understand the concept of 'bad guy'.

Big did, indeed, understand that concept-- or if he didn't, he was just going along with what his fellow feline was doing, because he took a few steps, grabbed the nearest robot, and hoisted it above his head almost as though it were a pillow he were looking under in search of a misplaced set of keys. One-handedly.
Ladies and gentlemen, the strongest individual in the world was a cat of questionable intellect. (You may begin panicking now.)
He didn't really seem to plan to do anything with it aside from hold it up, in what might be interpreted as a threat to the others if he had had a single bone in his body capable of making threats.

"I don't get—"
That was the last thing the Egg Robo said before it burst on the spot. Unfortunately, his compatriots were not immediately behind him for his scattering remains and crushed hull to barrel into; they only snapped to attention at the sound of the attack.
Their weapons glowed as they were raised. The nearest one was hoisted by Big as he was about to fire, though, and missed completely. The next closest one had his shot diverted by a sudden lunge from Midian, who, in an unexpected show of agility, sped forward, grasped its pistol by its barrel, and with a quick strike of his palm to the rear of the gun, redirected its aim and subsequent shot 90° to the side—and toward another Egg Robo, to boot, obliterating it with a healthy dose of friendly fire.
With two down, one struggling over Big's head, and another wrestling for its gun with Midian, there remained only one more Egg Robo unaccounted for. It soon popped out from around a corner, confused, but ready to open fire on somebody.

It was the last Egg Robo that Aga set his sights on, figuring the last one would be the most dangerous while the others were occupied. He quickly drew the MagnaGrap, closing one eye and lining up a shot carefully. and squeezed the device's trigger. With a sharp humming noise and a "pwtang!", the end of the device launched and flew through the air at the lone robot. Aga braced himself to go flying through the air when the magnetic bit hit whatever it was going to, and the momentum would be great for kicking that dumb pottery-destroying robot right in the face.

It made for a surprisingly effective attack for a little guy like Aga. Granted, Aga did not quite possess the weight or force to destroy the Egg Robo in one fell blow, but he did succeed in outright pounding its face with his feet, toppling it squarely upon its bottom as it fired its weapon in a harmless, stray shot to the sky. It and the others were still going to try to fight back if given the opportunity, but it was beginning to look unlikely that they'd get one.

It might've seemed like victory was assured, but the serval knew well it was never over until it was over. There was no question of the next move to make.
He sprinted behind him to where the others were haphazardly collected, and more or less heaved himself on the backside of the EggRobo causing the most trouble-- the only one standing on two feet, and still in half-possession of a firearm between Midian. He didn't expect his weight to topple any robot worth its salt, but he'd be happy to crush its head in whether it fell or remained standing.

The Egg Robo burst most satisfactorily under the raw force of Ace's attack, loosing yet another cuddly critter. In doing so, it left Midian clutching its gun.
It was about fifty pounds of gun. The unsuspecting jackal very nearly got his arms jerked straight to the ground before he steadied himself and the burly, metal device's unexpected mass. There was no way he would be able to practically wield the thing, but for a shot? Sure—and he took it, leveling the huge pistol (which was more of a rifle for him) on the last free Egg Robo, annnd...
*BZZEEM.*
Pop.
That left only the one still flailing in Big's grasp. It seems that last one must have gotten an idea, though—probably a bad one, but better than hanging there helplessly. It lit up the rockets in its backpack, and was attempting to either fly away, Big and all, or discourage the cat from hanging on with a nice, hot rush of exhaust.

There was no way other than to say that Big's massive girth would have made it hard for the robot to ascend too quickly. (Not to say it couldn't-- if Tails could...)
Regardless.
Before that could happen, the giant cat very nearly let go of the robot in his clutches. However, he got a brilliant idea. If he understood much at all, it was that the blast of hot exhaust was bad. This, in turn, led to the following train of thought: Heat = fire. Fire = bad. Water = not-fire. Therefore, put thing that makes fire in water. Problem solved!
With that in mind, Big took a step closer to the nearby water, reared back, and heaved the robot towards it. (The fact that this might actually give the robot a chance to fly away seemed to be evading him, but.)

The robot was not getting away. Big's idea of "heaving" basically meant that the Egg Robo hit the water at such a speed that it may as well have been concrete.
Well, it really wasn't that bad, but nonetheless, yes, the robot was slam-dunked, and, not being designed for immersion, sparked, fizzled, and sank directly to the bottom with little more than some smokey bubbles to signal that it had ever been there.
